I'm going to one of my friend Leah's Bachelorette Party and I have nothing to wear!! So in this video, I show you how I turn these thrifted pajamas into this matching bustier pants set. I even bought a heat gun for this tutorial!

Back in the day...cooking,sewing, wood shop, drafting and money mgmt., were life skills taught in 7th and 8th grade. If a kid could then continue their interest in high school if they desired. However the majority of schools districts especially inner schools, budget cut these vital life skill and career path classes as "non essential"

Thy flipping the boning and Eyelets. So like...
Fabric Eyelets boning
Boning Eyelets fabric.
It will help prevent your Eyelets and fabric from separating. Just make sure your Eyelets are right up next to the boning.
Also, if you experience any pinching you can add fabric behind the lacing.

The straps could have a lace bow going through that’s got a floral pattern, polka dots, lace, stripes, or make a structured silk bow.
I can’t believe you didn’t go to fashion school for this! But it gives me hope that as a late-comer layperson, I can also learn and create amazing outfits as I envision them (or shamelessly copy other high-end fashions 😂)

The pants remind me a little of a current trend here in Barcelona. There's a style here that's super comfy, but still dressy: long flowy pants with a high waist that ties. I had a pair I loved that got stained and was wondering if it would be complicated to make something similar. I love the fashion here but can't keep buying more clothes 😅
If you copy the pattern from your original pants, it shouldn't be too complicated to recreate! 😊 Ugh, I would be sooooo poor if I lived in Spain!! I would want to buy everything! 🤪

I am not alone knowing about your ocd, to me that part is what makes me take too long when I do a piece of clothes and sometimes that push me away from doing it. I like the top and pants outfit you made better than the one with the men’s shirt. While it’s not bad, it’s just that the other one looks better, looks like it’s meant to go together ( obviously it is lol) but that’s just my opinion. You go with whatever one you want.

It looks like she copied a bra and a pair of pants that fit well. As for sewing them up and the rest, that comes from experience of having done enough pieces, you really do learn! But if you're not there yet, to get there just watch videos on how to copy patterns from clothes you already like, and applying the techniques. She also says in this she's linking to a more detailed video on how she did this.
For this outfit, I sued this free bra pattern for the cups afiatelier.com/allpatterns/maya-bra/ and drafted the bodice myself. For the pants, I copied a pair of pants that I like and then altered to widen the leg. Mood fabrics also offers a ton of free patterns that I use a lot and modify for my projects! www.moodfabrics.com/blog/category/free-sewing-patterns/ It's a really great resource!
