I like the new exterior. The interior is looking pretty cheap compared to the old interior. So lame Mini has used the audio system for engine noise on the JCW. Time to remove your heads from your butts Mini designers. Subaru uses actual hoses from the engine bay to help (still goofy, but a little better).
It’s about noise regulations in the EU. I’m a former owner of a Subaru Outback XT Touring and more recently a 2024 Forester (ugh!). I never associated my Subarus with any cool engine noise. The turbo, possibly. The Forester’s CVT whine was not cool!
The 1st and second gen coopers are the ones to keep. My 2011 Cooper S still has more charm and charisma than this brand new model. I would say this, this new Mini is not bad, it does improve on the previous model.
The SE or EV version will come to the US but it won't be until 2027. They have to retool the Oxford plant to make the EVs and that will take a few years. Right now it will be made in China and because of the trade tariff's, it doesn't make sense to sell it in the US. So we will get it in the US, but just not until 2027.
You were begging for backup cameras?!? Noooooo! I am begging them to bring back the manual transmission! Take a look at the GR Corolla to see what is possible in 2024. BMW/MINI's infatuation with going all electric is going to kill the brand.
The new styling is fantastic inside and out. I want to say I've seen the dash in a pattern or color that adds a bit more pop inside. Love the new screen. In 2024 200 hp out of a turbo 4 is more than a smidge pathetic.
Would you get the new mini or the new model Tesla 3 as a daily driver?
If you need a 360 degree camera for parking a Mini your license should be revoked.
😂
great for learner drivers
😂😂😂
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
They need to put the fog lights back on the bumper. Looks a little too basic.
I wonder if the added weight had to do w/ more tech, slightly biggertrack/tires. The car is the same dimensions.
There are a lot of new minis here in Mexico with manual transmission. Why not in the US?
If you're going to put a heads up display You might as well just put a tiny little instrument cluster
No manual ? Damn... miata is the answer then
Not for me because I can't even fit in a Miata
@@toyota420xpsame here, 6ft 2 is a tough to be comfortable in a MX-5
I do like MINI’s; but still very glad I went with a 2024 Subaru BRZ
Ok…
personally not a fan of the circular display but it's definitely unique!!
The "favored" trim is the deluxe trim that has a storage box in front of the armrest and nicer seats that are electric.
So the DCT in sport mode no longer allows manual shifting on the gear selector?
Not that we could tell

6:10 mini actually does not own bmw

Might be the last of it…

Going electric helps the planet
