@Umadbro681 I purchased one a couple of weeks ago, and so far, it has been really good. Totally changed the game playgame experience for me. (Especially because I was playing out of a keyboard)
My pc is arriving in a couple weeks and I just picked up this HOTAS. But the witch hat seems a bit off. The witch hat when pressed up clicks nicely and feels normal but when pushed left or right it barely clicks and feels like something won’t let it move properly. And pressing it downwards doesn’t click at all and definitively feels like it shouldn’t be doing that. Should I return it or is that just what it’s supposed to be like?
The split throttle is more aimed towards specific maneuvers than for the purpose you described, but that is another good use. Just commented because you implied that it was specific to your description.
@@wezzyswagdrifter yeah I like it. Lots of buttons, good price. The only thing is I got a little sticky drift on the left joystick, but a small dead zone fixed.
I currently have the X52 Pro and I'm having some issues with configuration, in particular toggling cockpit to external view (shown in this video). Is the X56 better configured out of the box and how on the X56 do you toggle from cockpit to external view? How is it configured out of the box? Is it worth upgrading to the X56 from the X52. Thank you so much for your review!
Hey man Idk if you ever got an answer to this yet. I just got my X56 yesterday in the mail and I only had 1 chance to use it but the button you are looking for is on the throttle. Its on the other side, specific the left button on the right throttle, it works like a charm!
This answered a lot of questions but can someone recommend a good setup video for flight simulator? My last joystick is over 15 yrs old so it’s nowhere near this complex. I was disappointed with the lack of setup support from Logitech. It took me a while to find the correct 64bit software to install
VERY good to know that those switches down on the throttle module are RESETTING! I thought it was 3 different positions and i was ready to have to deal with all the 'zombie' switches. My t16000 throttle is starting to go all twitchy at the top, making it snap between 20% and 100% and everything in between unless I forcefully press it all the way to the firewall. Time to fk it off and get something better!
i'm thinking about the Citation Longitude, will this work? I'm thinking about the Airbus control that has everything, but I'm thinking about the Logitech. The dials can be used to turn the plane on the ground.
Thanks for the video but I am very concerned about that flight stick and that spring system. I have owned the X55 and the X56 and it seems no one talks about how janky and inconsistent that spring tension system at the bottom of the flight stick feels. I find there are annoying dead zones and the stick does not move freely. If you grab the stick and move it "SLOWLY" from top dead center to full left or right, the movement is not smooth at all.
Can you use the mode selector to have different sets of controls for different modes in DCS? Like an air to air mode, air to ground, and general flight? To increase the amount of buttons you can program
i looked at this one and i saw it had a lot of bad reviews, so i hedge, but there are other stick and throttle set ups out there that have a lot more positive feedback, but this set up does seem really nice and logitech usually makes good products
its not made by logitech....its saitek and rebranded as logitech. i boguht it and i regreted it and the i found out other stuff like virpil and vkb and orion....those are much better...better than the thrustmaster warthog.
@@techstepman yeah im actually going to get the gladiator nxt 'space combat edition' right handed one from vkbcontrollers, it seems to be the best as far as joysticks for flight goes, im gonna use this joystick with the logitech pro throttle
Actually incorrect it was a Saitek.. when Logitech bought them out, they changed a lot of the QC, problem is that there’s been a lot of old Saitek ones which are black and blue sold with the Logitech branding.. the new x56 is mostly all black has minimal issues … I’ve ran across several people who have the all black and rarely have any gripes about it.. also a lot of the parts where also changed
@@user-jh1mq2ih2u the old saitek ones are called the x56 rhino, they’re the blue ones which are older with more problems, the standard x56 black ones are the newer Logitech ones if I’m remembering correctly
thank you for the explenation about the dials and switches on the throttle quadren. DIdnt get that anywhere else. I see ill program my dials for HDG and ALT.
using the 56. I don't use the throttle my question is on the stick. im looking to get better fine control out of the stick. i play elite so think accurate shots with rail guns. I've messed with curves, springs , no spring , 2 springs. I'm thinking of taking apart the base blow it out. make sure there isn't anything in there. Lube? I heard that one guy talk Magnet. I am running it straight to the PC in a 3.0usb. All buttons seem to work. if anyone has used this with Curves i'd love to see your curve charts. THanks .
_We are highlighting some of the more unique products?_ --Sporty's Pilot Shop 2021 *SAY WHAT?!* The X-56 from Logitech is as common/casual/generic as possible. It's as unique as a Zippo in the lighter world.... Dear interested buyers -> if you are still looking for something "unique" with a focus on quality - look for VIRPIL or MKB or CH-products - if you wanna go fancy look out for wingwing If you are looking for something good for MS Flight sim look up the "turtle beach" or "logitech pro flight" yokes Some people....?
@@DiggitySlice The issue is the presentation. They advertise the X-56 as if it is the gold standard, while it absolutely is not. It's garbage tbh. Well, garbage is a little too harsh, admittedly. Still though, flight sim gear, just like racing sim gear, has a wide range of products and ofc pricing. You can go way beyond a thousand dollars and still not reach the top of possible products. I stand by my word however, advertising this "common as hell" hotas is bullshit. Something unique is what I posted above. Also, when it comes to flight yokes for microsoft flight simulator, those aren't double the price of X-56. Anyways, I am not sure, if you are into flight sims yet or not. If you aren't, trust me or spend it bit more time in googling reviews of said flight sticks. You'll see that I am right, when it comes to quality. However, quality comes at a price. The most affordable hotas on my list is certainly VKB products. For beginners who don't really know, if flight sims are going to be their thing or not - have a look at thrustmasters t.16000m. It's even cheaper than X-56, while have a much better hall effect sensor. It's in fact the same one used in Thrustmasters A-10 hotas, which goes up to 600$. T.16000 has less buttons though, but again, for an entry level stick, it has enough buttons and if you than wanna send it, go for something better. That's far better advise than anything in the video, but just like the video, it's just an opinion. Have a great day!
They suck when they don't work? Brand new already experiencing buttons don't work, Ghosting, I am really disappointed. Logitech I thought was worth a damn like everything else the quality has gone to shit.
Thank you for your instructions as a 81 year old I was disappointed that there was no instruction manual supplied with this kit

Exactly the video I was looking for, answered everything. Nice and simple for the beginner. Thank you.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
too many switches for me
Really…lighted room…you are so cool with your aviator glasses and flight suit.

That seemed more like input lag than a dead zone
You can adjust the dead zone with the included software.
