There is an interaction between Arthur and Mary-Beth where he tells her the truth about his condition and how his sickness helped him see the world from a different perspective, that he sees it better. There's another one where Abigal tells Arthur she's very grateful to have him as a friend and that she feels safe with him after rescuing John with Sadie.
"I`ll be Achille, and you`ll be Hector!" Jack always was a smart kiddo. It is incredible that he had read the Iliad at that age. I wonder how he came out like this in that kind of environment.

*0:57** Seeing John defending his son is so good. He hadn't considered Jack his son before, but he definitely was. The evolution of both characters is fantastic.*
It’s because Jack technically is not his biological son since Abigail was “getting around”but I’m glad John realized Jack is all he’s got for a father figure
@Layne G Given the context of RDR2, it's more impactful. John is already a loving and devoted father in RDR1 but we see him change from a guy who doesn't want responsibility for his child and barely interacts with him to someone who cares so much for Jack and wants to do so much for him towards the end of RDR2. So it is heart-warming and heart-breaking.
So sweet! I love how John starts out refusing to have anything to do with Jack, then starts playing with him and defending him from Micah. I think when Jack was kidnapped by the Braithwaites and Angelo Bronte he finally realized that he not only had to but wanted to be there for Jack.
It really is. It gives him a complete arc, not only for him, but for Dutch, and the whole gang in general. John has really evolved, and it completed his story, and complicated father-son relationship with Jack. But I loved how it fleshed John out even more, and balanced it with so many other characters at the same time.
Haha. Did yall go into the room up stairs when all the bar patrons looked like lenny? You open the door and see a naked lenny with boobs riding another lenny. Arthur's reaction is priceless!
When I saw John playing with Jack it really warmed my heart honestly. I'm glad there's a clip of this now cuz I really enjoyed that moment with them, it's really wholesome ^u^ -Also Micah does need to go to hell-
I think it was the fact that he nearly lost his son because of what that Braithwaite bitch did that finally caused John Marston to really grow to love his little boy.
One criticism I have of the game is making Micah so detestable yet making it impossible to do anything about it. I'm not expecting to be able to gun him down in camp cos it would ruin the plot but the reality is that on several occasions Micah implies or openly suggests that the gang should cut loose people like Pearson, Grimshaw, Mary-Beth etc. Everything he says is in contradiction to the Robin Hood family of outlaws vibe that is supposed to be so important to the gang and yet he is able with seemingly zero resistance to create a civil war. I thought it was just a little unrealistic that people like Arthur and Hosea and John just allow this all to happen. The guy constantly makes racist remarks to Lenny and Charles as well and people just accept him as part of the group. Personally I think it's a miracle that Charles didn't pull his spine out of his arsehole sometime in the first 2 chapters.
Frank Bear you're coming at it hot. The reason it's brought up as a critique is that Dutch's gang is multi-cultural compared to the time it lived in and Micah being openly sexist and racist amongst the gang made the commenter feel a bit of dissonance, that although you or I might not feel is a big deal is an understandable criticism.
The only regret is I won't get to see Micah suffer in hell, oh the torment and torture of damnation that micah is going through it would bring a smile to my face to watch.
I personally hate Ross more because he killed my favorite John so yea I hate him way more. Micah was just a annoying idiotic person in my opinion. I don’t really get why he is so hated by the fandom but I get it I don’t like him either but I find other characters in video games more bad. Just my opinion.

@Layne G Given the context of RDR2, it's more impactful. Micah didn't kill Arthur in mine.
I literally bump into something and fall off my horse every mission in that game.
I love how johns evolution with his wife and son changed throughout the game. Great character development
He didn’t say to cut loose Pearson he meant useless people like Swanson Pearson was the cook he was definitely not useless
Pinkerton Detective Agency Open up Swanson, molly was definitely useless
For real lt would have made me feel better to scrap with him in camp just once.
Frank Bear Yeah, racism is okay because at least it’s not murder.
Its really nice to watch johns progression into a better man throughout the story
John was so right by saying go to hell to Micah. That's where he is now
