I have a 2ds and I ablosultely love it. I so miss the days when I played all those games as a kid for the first time. I feel rlly nostalgic thinking about the good old days when I see my 2ds now.
It hasn't even been a day since this video came out and I found while watching 3DS videos for the billionth time. Gosh I'm so madly in love with this beautiful little handheld.
This was a fantastic beginners guide to the 3DS. If you could get into the nit and grit of how expensive and/or rare 3rd party accessories can be would be awesome. Looking at Cyber Gadget grips, HORI Monster Hunter grips (iterations for the different models), the difference in rarity depending on the model (regular, regular new, and new Xl 3DS grips), their prices, etc, would be cool.
Great job on this video ! Glad you mentioned the R4 card , the nice thing about it too is you can use one with your regular DS too. Looking forward to next weeks Retronomics vid.
They mostly can only run stuff in DS mode. I suppose that's fine if you're ok with those limitations but the OG DS struggled with things like SNES or Genesis emulation. You also won't be able to play 3DS titles, just OG DS. It's true R4 cards are super easy to set up and they cost next to nothing but you really ought to mod your 3DS and run the DSi homebrew Twilight Menu if you want DS games & homebrew on the 3DS.
I got a "new" Nintendo 3DS XL from someone at my school for only 5$ since it was in cosmetically bad condition and he just wanted to get rid of it. It was originally black, but after replacing the outside top shell, outside bottom shell, and battery cover with red ones. So I basically made my own "custom" "new" Nintendo 3DS XL that is red on the exterior and black on the interior. I also had to replace the micro SD card slot and speakers due to the micro SD card slot being dented down and the speakers being busted, but it wasn't difficult to do the repairs and I spent 30$ to buy the parts. So I basically bought it for just 35$ after I repaired it, which was less than a quarter than what those go for on eBay! Probably one of my best purchases ever and I'm very happy with it!
I bought the New 3ds regular today. Already have N3ds XL with IPS screens ,but i need back up just in case. Seeing PC handhelds that going bigger & bigger make me appreciate how convenient to have pocketable handhelds. I don't need advance graphics, i just need fun & enjoyable games.
@@beomrangeadeoh my god Well, sd card is an hd (the thing that can store information in pc and cellphone) but small, you need this to store games and homebrew
@@beomrangeade since the online shop for the 3ds is closed forever. The only alternative to downloading games is to hack the console and download games to a microsd then put it in the console. Basically a jailbreak.
I like the original 3ds. It's so small and pocketable. It also has an advantage that the new 3ds models don't have. It can be played in direct sunlight. Even at max brightness with the new models I struggle to see well when playing while the sun is shining on the screen. It's like a gameboy. I do like the small new 3ds but those are hard to come by. I usually only see the new 3ds xl, new 2ds xl or the og 3ds and 3ds xl being sold online.
The 3DS system that I have is a 2DS that I got right after it first launched. My favorite 3DS games are Scribblenauts Unlimited, Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D, and Pokemon Omega Ruby.
I bought one, I had an obsession with it for almost a year. I modded it and downloaded every game imaginable. I barely play it and it was a waste of money. Make sure you REALLY want something before you impulse buy it.
@@gabe5918 I played mine a little bit more since I made this comment but not enough to justify the 200. I traveled with it and it's the most use it has ever gotten.

Just noticed I have a 3ds worth more than 500$ damn sheesh I have the smash bros and one weird one and I have the Japanese charizard not used still in box 😅😅
Thanks for the feedback! I have had some background stuff to deal with so time and effort on videos I can actually make were put into subjects that attract the most attention to my channel. Now that I have that somewhat under control, I can increase my output a bit and spend time on other subjects that aren't Nintendo. I hope that makes sense.
Thanks so much for watching - here's the latest 3DS Price Forecast - th-cam.com/video/Jr3lEHIZX6A/w-d-xo.html
I bought a original 3ds from a store and I can't pick USA as a country, yet it still plays American games. Do you know anything about that?
Long live 3DS!

I might consider it. Right now I have a content schedule so I can't make any promises.
@@SuperNicktendo I understand. Wishing you continued success and thank you for the content.
This helps out a lot as I wish to get a new 3DS as my 2DS broke several years ago and now I want to relive my childhood.
This is exactly what happened to my 2ds and that’s the reason I’m buying a new one!

I'm actually considering one since I have a new 2DSXl that I got specifically for modding.

Buy 3ds or whatever the f***k model, sd card, mod it boom done

if you dint care about 3D effect..what version to get?
New 2ds Xl. But you can turn off the effect on all the 3Ds devices.
where would be the best place to purchase a nintendo 3ds xl ?
Try Facebook Marketplace. Usually can find someone looking to sell for less than ebay
Will I be able to play modded games or any games after the internet ban or whatever
You'll need to reference the guide I linked. You should be able to play almost every game that doesn't require online play
I don’t see the pinned comment
Thanks. Looks like when I edited the comment it unpinned it. Repinned
Me watching this with a 3ds: 🗿
I wish I still had mine now they’re so expensive
I think switch light does count kinda
Just a little. But there aren't switch lite exclusive games
