- This may have been the funnest video I've ever made, mostly because I LOVE CHINESE BREAKFAST! It's very different from what you might eat for breakfast in your home country, so when you're next in China, don't be shy! Give some of the local brekkie foods a go!

When I found out deep fried dough sticks were a breakfast item, I realised China was my kind of place.

I went to China and had it and it is sooooooo delish. It is like a super airy and just crispy donut that is not covered in 12 layers of sugar and is just naturally delishcious. I can literally eat it every day.
Those You Tiao (fried sticks) I dip it in tea and eat them.

I have to mention that tofu brain is spicy in Sichuan province. I highly recommend you have a try. It’s extremely delicious.
The northerners also love it with chilly oils.

I'm binge watching all of your videos, they are so fun and interesting. The northern cuisine has more fried dishes, whereas the southern has more steam dishes. Personally, I love the cantonese food so much

I made Chang Fen today, using a big pot and a pan on a steamer base. it worked out perfectly and I loved it. My family loved it too! Thank you for sharing this! Such an easy but super yummy dish!

There's a funny fact only Chinese could possibly know. The waitress selling tofu brain in the north actually has a southern accent like Suzhou or Hangzhou; and the seller of tofu flower is obviously a northeastern accent. 🤣

Crazy huh!!! The tofu flower seller told me she was originally from the north, 北方人，and i thought it was so funny going to the south for southern tofu brains, to be taught about southern eating customs by a northerner!!!

I think 'you tiao' is pretty much enjoyed by Chinese wherever they are. Here in Manchester (UK) you can find it in Chinatown (Cantonese style), but I really like how they dip it in 'kaya' coconut egg jam, so delish! BTW, your Sydney Chinatown beats ours hands down, so much posher. And thanks for all the wonderful vids. Great job!

In Indonesia Tofu Brains served sweet with ginger broth sometimes with fried peanuts. It called Tau Wa or Tahu Tauwa/taqwa... Served for afternoon meal or in heavy breakfast...
I tried Chang Fen for the first time in a restaurant called The Sweet Dynasty, and it was unspeakably gooood!!

if you have a chance visit GuangDong province, look for the Chang Fen on the street food booths, they taste more soft and thin, melt right inside your mouth. they change recipe in restaurant to make it easier to make.

I've been looking a lot Chinese food vlogs by foreigners lately and this one is the best so far. As she said, China is really a big country so the people act so differently across the country. Most foreigners only get a "stereotype" of Chinese in one place like someone in Sichuan thinks all Chinese foods are spicy and that's obviously wrong. Hope Blondie in China make more vlogs like this which can help foreigners know China better!
Oh, I miss the Chinese breakfast so much. Here in the US, I have milk, a boiled egg, cereal or bread for breakfast, 7 days a week, lol. Man, it's the same every day.
