I've owned a handful in my lifetime, granted I was more of a drummer back then, but with the new era, the quality is like night and day, the new series is incredible in my opinion. And mind you, I'm not even a big fan of BCR, but that's just the truth (again, in my opinion)
I got to meet Kerry a few years back. We played seasons in the abyss together and he gave me a signed poster bc Rich t shirt and a set of strings. The coolest memory that I have is him showing me the tattoos on his head and letting me take a photo with him. Still hangs in my living room. Coolest night ever
The B.C Rich Warlock guitars that were made in the 1980'S are some of the best guitars in the world. They have the "R" in abelone shell on the headstock, neck through with Dimarrzio Super Distortion pickups.

Over Beat Jesters my little advice? Don't go for a recent signature model. Look for something tried and tested. Then plug it in to a decent amp you can afford and check if you like the way it sounds. Spend some more to get something you like. This one sounded like tearing cupboard with a rusty wood saw...
Isaac White my first electric was a mid to high range Ibanez. Bought used for the cost of a low end import. 30 years after, with a change of two pickups and knobs, it plays like new and sounds like a charm... Used can be your friend!

With the guys like Kerry King, Slash, Chuck Shuldiner, Dave Mustaine back in the day not to mention almost every metalhead in the 80s I have no idea how can you fail as a company. Something went terribly wrong. How hard can it be if even chaps like Ola Englund, Rob Chapman or Zakk Wylde can come up with their own guitars without any brand whatsoever and without people endorsing them.
Well Zakk Wylde is endorsed by Schecter so there's that, but B.C Rich needs to make higher quality guitars and they need to get popular guitarists to endorse them

It’s like they are trying to be what Schecter was is 2010. Not very good IMO, hope this changes for the better because they’re a legendary company. The first job I got I saved up for this guitar in the 7 string model and a fender mustang amp, to this day its my stage guitar, obviously changed the pickups to Seymour Duncans and added a killswitch, but I have not regretted purchasing this guitar. 9/10 one of the best metal guitars I own
Spent an evening drinking really weird mixed drinks with King waaaaaay back in the 80’s, keg party with the band Redrum, from Sacramento. Very cool dude. And I’m sure, he has only gotten cooler with time

Death Sentinel Kerry's expensive signatures will always have Kahlers. That's what he uses and it's HIS signature. When people buy a signature, they buy it because they want what the artist plays. The only reason a Kahler isn't on this guitar is because it's a budget guitar so they're using the cheapest b.c. rich hardware they can get. His expensive sigs will always have Kahlers.
Best guitar I've ever owned. Bought my 2008 kerry king wartribe new in 2009. Emgs, kahler, grover tuners , neck through you don't need anything more for a metal guitar.

i bought an older model virgin...it w as a pawn store impulse buy. I loved the look and it had literally no wear on it with all the inspection stickers intact. I paid 165 canadian and was happy with it. Its a platinum issue, not sure what that means, i assume 24 frets and better pups? Im happy enough with it. my gripes would be..its neck heavy but I like the round bottom, akes it easier to sit with and less points to destroy. Always liked the rich designs... I would like to get an eagle someday.
He doesnt mention the pickups . I can see that they are not his signature EMG active pickups but are in fact passive pickups which i have not seen Kerry use since the 80s!

they are starting new. they got rid of people who kept producing guitars with quality problems and got back some old people back from the 80s' and 90s' who worked together with bc rich so they can produce guitars with good quality again :)
Those platinum and bronze series warlocks were giving them a bad name. Cheap parts cheap electronics and would fall apart easily. They do make some killer guitars for under a G but you gotta look around a little bit

Most guys won't even pick one up, no matter which era it's from. Hell, you could be the one on the local scene with one IF you give the right one a day in court.

I just bought a used Warlock for one hunnit fiddy. Twas worth almost 3 LARGE, brand new. The kid I bought it off of, sold it because his grandpa bequeathed it to him when he died. I'm pretty sure his grandpa is turning in his grave right about now. However, I DID tell the kid to contact me anytime, if he changes his mind. It'll be in my house until the earth burns to a crisp. Lol!
They need to bring back the B.C.Rich Draco with the spinal inlays & ebony fretboard! That thing was the tits and when I went to finally buy it they were discontinued.

I bought a B.C rich Mockingbird when I was a teenager for the same reason. It was the cheapest,most affordable guitar I could find. As long as I had an actual Guitar to practice,I didn't care...better than the old broom I was using at the time! ha
