- My H&K MR308 A3 (known as MR762 A3 in the US) has finally arrived and I am unboxing it on video and talk a little about what I find interesting about this firearm.
This is the 13" variant which is legal for hunting licence holders in Germany.
Larry Vickers just posted this on his Instagram, he said it was very difficult to get here in the US. I know they run like $5000+... and that’s IF you can find one...
Beautiful rifle though - very happy to see fellow gun enthusiasts in Germany because I know a lot of you EU guys have more restrictive laws than us here in the US. With how things have been going lately, we ALL need to stick together and fight for our rights - worldwide! 💪🏽
You're lucky man,down here in spain we have banned 308 and 223 rifles so we have a bunch of ar15 in 222rem or 300blk but sadly no hk mr series....Lets see if we can get the these calibers legal with the upcoming gunlaw change.

@@WodanLive Yeah,idiot gunlaws,and the 223 and 308 are the "civilian" calibers but they banned too,we also have banned the 7.62x39 but the 7.62x54r is legal.
We can use the 9x19 and is use by police and armed forces.

how do you hunt? only 30-06? or is that also illegal?
@@Ginkoman2 no,the 30 06 is perfectly legal,all calibers are legal except 223 rem,308(semiautos),7.62x39 or 5.45x39.
The most common calibers people use here for hunting are 30 06,222 rem,300 win mag,7mm rem mag,270win....

I heard a few complain about the proprietary mouting system on this rifle.
The keymod of this rifle is not the same with others BCM’s keymod.
So attaching accessories will be a little bit difficult.
(This is what I heard, not my own idea)
The Outsider Absolutely right. The „keyhole“ mounting slots are called „HKey“ and are not Keymod compatible. There‘s very little you can legally mount to your rifle in Germany so it doesn‘t really bother me and there are third-party hand guards available just for the MR308 with MLok. But - you guessed it - very expensive!
Ive got the mr308 g28 love it, the only downside its simply to heavy, i cant understand that these mr308 rifles are so freaken heavy compared to the old G3 i had in the military
It‘s the fat barrels. Not sure if or why the G28 has such a thick barrel as well but the overall MR308 as well as the MR223 series have thick „match“ barrels. Great for accuracy and heat dispersion but terrible for carry and quick movement.
@@GunWodan and the buffer it self is insane heavy, yeah absolutely its heavy duty, i think mine is over 5.5kg empty

Fachliche Fehler bitte melden, kann es selbst nicht leiden wenn in Videos Quatsch erzählt wird und das nicht richtiggestellt wird. Würde solche Korrekturen in die Beschreibung übernehmen.

Hi, Have you try your mr308 SBR until this video ? What is the "global accuracy" of that short barrel at mid range distance ? thx you.
JR G the accuracy is flawless but there is a severe drop in muzzle velocity compare to longer barrels. I recommend hand loading ammunition for this barrel. Light projectiles (125gn-135gn) and fast (223) powders
@@GunWodan ok, did you try some load with 175gr or 168gr for exemple ? I saw some us review on 13 and 12 barrel on a A1 that makes hit at 900m with that kind of bullet but yours is an a3. Honestly, my main use will be 50-600m so I think 13.5 "assaulter" is a good option.
JR G my goal is to get a muzzle velocity greater than 820m/s and that is very difficult with heavier bullets. For long range shots, a heavier projectile might make more sense to carry whatever velocity you get over distance but I plan to take this one hunting and must rely on perfect expansion at 150-200m

Christoph Berchtold Habe direkt bei Waimex angerufen und mich erkundigt welche Varianten lagernd sind und dann eine davon bestellt über einen Händler. Der Händler hat mir einen super Preis gemacht und innerhalb einer Woche hatte ich die Waffe.

Ich wurde mittlerweile vom Händler informiert. H&K beliefert dieses Jahr den Zivilmarkt nicht mehr. Also beträgt die Lieferfrist über Zwei Jahre... Vom Nov. 2017 bis mind. Januar 2020.
@@christophberchtold5972 habe gestern eine in ral8000 mit 13 zoll lauf bestellt. Eigentlich wollte ich erst eine in 1 1/2 Jahren kaufen. Aber der gute Preis der mir gemacht wurde und die lange wartezeit haben mich jetzt schon zu dem schritt bewegt.
Mir wurde auch auf einer Waffenmesse vom Händler mitgeteilt, dass sie dieses Jahr nicht mehr ausgeliefert wird... Grund dafür soll eine Grossbestellung von einer Armee bei H&K sein. Der Händler war aber sehr Kulant und bezahlte mir die Anzahlung zurück. So konnte ich mir das gute Stück dann auf der Waffenmesse bei einem anderen Händler nebst einem M1 Garand ergattern. Ja. Schiesst sich super. @Hans XYZ
Ich habe auf meine mr308 5 monate gewartet, ich wohne in der schweiz und habe direkt von DE bestellt über meinen händler. Hk ist sehr arrogant diesbezüglich weil der zivile markt zweitrangig ist für sie

muffemod good question! I got in touch with the official German distributor (H&K doesn‘t do that themselves) and asked them which variants were in stock. If you are looking to order one to be made for you, good luck! I heard rumors H&K will be doing military contracts exclusively for 12 months now.

Do you know how I can get one of these in the USA? We still have the gen 1s... I suppose I could get an HK 417 that’s been converted to semi auto, seen a lot of those lately. Anyways I want a 12”, 12” or 12.5” barrel. If you were here in the USA would you still get the MR308 or this? noveske.com/products/02000327
The Golf Life HK underlies very heavy export restrictions - compare them to the ITAR you have in the US. Their US product portfolio is totally different from the EU/German one. Imagine that ... we can‘t get the SP5 around here (yet) ...
Really hoping the bureaucrats manage to get the MR rifles in the US updated soon.
GunWodan Couldn’t agree more. Still waiting on my SP5 but think I will sell it for a Dakota Tactical Reverse Stretch when I get it as it is a better made rifle. In the meantime I have a Noveske Space Invader that runs flawlessly suppressed. Are you guys allowed to have suppressors in Germany?
