Girl, the dedication to thorough reviewing is admirable! After this review, I feel like I have the information I need to know if this product is a purchase or pass. Thank you!
You are awesome. Thanks for the wear test and all the checkins in different lighting and cameras. I also just bought it and definitely find it’s better applied with a puff than a brush like you said. I got it more for controlling t-zone in humid weather, we’ll have to see how that goes, but for now I noticed it blurs my pores really well. Your t-zone looked really good in all your check-ins! If nothing else, it’s a good powder for that..? On a side note, I’m light-medium skin tone and both the translucent shade and translucent medium shade work on me
If you don’t think it’s worth it, don’t get it. I swear, some of you watch just to look for something to whine about. Her job is to review product, that’s what she’s doing.
Exactly! Some of them will act like they’re being forced and demanded to buy the product…..if you don’t wanna buy it, then don’t buy it. Yes $54 is a lot for a powder but…….depending on what ingredients were used to make it and if some of the ingredients were hard to source, as well as having to pay for the product to be made, the packaging, shipping, and then posting it up online and it stores…..all of that goes into the costs of products.

Oh and someone also reposted one of your old comments with you totally complaining about elf and how much you hate them etc. Talk about double standards..🙄 So obnoxious
I tried it today, so first impression is it's not great on my dry skin. Clung to dry patches and looked unflattering. I purchased Translucent Light. Good to see your review confirmed this, Morgan!
I have dry eczema prone skin and I absolutely loved this powder. It blurred my skin beautifully. I bought translucent. I agree I didn't like it for under the eyes, I use westman atelier powder or pat mcgrath for under the eyes.
I purchased this product from the sale, and I have used it a few times. I honestly don’t recommend it. It doesn’t do much to justify the price tag. It’s a very subtle product. It doesn’t offer coverage, and for $54, there are much cheaper options to control shine.
Thanks for testing this out for us. Powders last forever in my collection. I’ve been using the Kosas cloud set for over a year now. I’ve made a good dent, but that’s it. I don’t know how people go through their powder in a timely manner.
Love this! Thank you for your thorough reviews, Morgan (as always!). I’ve been in the TH-cam makeup community for a long time, but your reviews are top tier, and I really appreciate them. ❤
Hello Morgan, Thank you for reviewing this. I was planning on picking it up since I love Hourglass powders. I didn’t pick it up because I have very very dry skin. I can only use the Givenchy and Huda as well in the CA weather. I’ll try the Pat powder for blurring. I think this Hourglass powder is better to touching up than setting 🤔 and for oily skin gals. 😊 Thank you for your hard work ♥️
Would you do a review of "who is the Blurriest of All?" Pat McGrath, Huda, Givenchy or Hourglass or ???? So sad to hear this about Hourglass, they are one of my fav brands.
I'm so glad you did this review and that Sephora was out of stock with the lighter shades! I was planning on buying it but as a combo skin girl ( on the drier side in winter months) and also having mature skin..I don't think it would be a good one for me! I'll stick to my Huda and Givenchy!!
I got translucent light because I am a light cool/olive undertone, and it looks perfect on my skin. So whoever has my skin tone, this will look great for fair to light with cool undertone.
I grabbed the lightest shade of this right when it showed up during the Sephora sale. I have a normal/oily t-zone with a dry chin. I like this powder but it’s nothing ground breaking. It doesn’t look cakey or anything. I wouldn’t pay full price for it, I’m glad I got it on sale. My die hard powder for my oily t zone is the By Terry translucent loose powder. I do like the pressed one for touch ups. I wouldn’t use the hourglass pressed in my t-zone, it’s great for setting the face.
Thank you for this review! I was kinda sad when it sold out on saphora and was debating buying it from the hourglass website but now I don’t feel like it’s a need. Love your channel :)
could you do an all time favs video where you like say your holy grail products? i would adore that. Especially with foundations, concealers, powders, primers, and eye brow stuff
SOOOOO glad you got this review out so soon-thanks, Morgan! I love Hourglass but have dry skin & worry it wouldn’t look good. But also it’s very humid here in the summer so it could come in handy then but when it’s so hot out, who feels like caking on lots of makeup??!! Hmmm. Kinda stumped with this one! Next I’d really like to see your thoughts on the new Natasha Denona HyGen beautifier highlighter product. So curious on that one as well. Have a great wknd, all!! 😊❤
Hi huni I have dry mature skin plus it's acne prone & I have no problems with hourglass in fact they're my favourite powders. I highly recommend the ambient lighting powder; it has a sheen to it which gives a semi dewy finish but keeps your makeup in place. Honestly I went through 4 already & I rarely buy the same product twice 😊
@@AnyaAnnika67 hi, thanks for the response! I love Hourglass powders too and own many of them, including the ambient one! I was referring to the specific powder Morgan discussed in this video here. Do you have any info on that specific powder??? Thanks in advance!!
Thanks so much for the testing. Not going to spend 75$ on one pressed powder when Givenchi pressed powdwer is some 38$ and the loose powder is 54$ in their website without any discount. So for 92 you get 2 powders (loose + pressed) and they will send you 3 samples (one being a perfume sample, a cream sample and maybe a lipstick sample) with free shipping at least here in Europe. Plus all comes in a beautiful box, really beautiful and most of the times with a beautiful makeup bag for free, and of course all in dust bags and such a nice experience. Hourglass No thanks just because in my so mature combo skin (60 yo) all finishing hourglass powders are SO drying and look too flat on me.
Oohhh I'll have a look into Givenchy 😊. I will say you might like the ambient lighting powder however as that has a lovely dewy sheen to it; I've bought it 4 times now.
@@AnyaAnnika67 I know the ambient lighting powder got some individual and some 2 palettes and still...I prefer my Givenchy both loose and pressed (for retouches on the go, always in my handbag) because are not drying and not flat and leaves your skin perfect but I don't powder my undereyes (60 years old gives you many tricks not to crease and getting your undereyes plump)
I do like the sound of this product as I love Hourglass but I don't think anything will top my ambient lighting powder (powder plus a touch of highlight) which I use all over my face & highly recommend. I don't like my face looking flat I like a dewy look hence why it's my preference 😊
If you had to compare it to the loose powder, which one do you prefer? I agree it’s a little pricey, but when it comes to high end makeup, we’re buying the experience! Besides, the component is gorgeous! 💕
hmm they really are different. The beauty of the loose powder is sets but doesnt compromise the finish of the base (aka its great for setting a glowy makeup look as the glow will come back after the powder settles) . This pressed one is more mattifying & blurrring.
Thanks for the review! I'm oily, but I think I'm gonna skip this powder just cause there's so many others out there (and that I have)😅 But you really rocked that Fenty highlighter-and now want it....I'm such a sucker for highlighters✨️

I could not believe your comment so I went to my online order when HG powder just launched and you right was $48 plus the 9$ off from the 20%off from Sephora sale, so I paid 41$. Wow price went up to $54 .. I wonder why?
Jeans and a normal bra?! That's dedication!!! 😂❤ Thank you. I use the loose Hourglass veil powder so I was very interested in this. Question--it sounds like you prefer the Pat Mcgrath or Huda (Huda is out for me due to allergies)...maybe a silly question, but can the Pat Mcgrath be used all over the face to blur and set? The marketing really emphasizes undereye use so I'm not sure. My skin is also dry, and I'm 40 so some texture. Thanks!
