NOTE: I was doing some work for Accor Hotels (part of Sofitel) and they invited me to stay for a few complimentary nights and I didn’t pay for this buffet. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own, and I chose to make this video on my own.
I definitely haven't been to all the buffets in Bali, but there have been many that say, for the quality and variety, the Sunday brunch buffet at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua, is probably the best of the island - and after eating there, I have no arguments - it was an outstanding buffet!
My wife Ying and I arrived to the buffet right as they opened for brunch on Sunday, and immediately we walked around to see all that was available. Sofitel is a French hotel, so you can count on there being plenty of French food, bread, pastries, and cheese. But you’ll also find a great selection of Indonesian food and Balinese food, and my favorite station, which was the grilled Balinese style seafood station.
This is one of the huge buffets that I only wish I would be in my early 20’s again, to be able to eat non-stop - but unfortunately I fill up much faster than I did back then.
I’ve eaten at 2 Sofitel brunch buffets now (the other in Manila: • Spiral Buffet: The Mos... ), and what I like about Sofitel buffets is that they cook in small batches, and the food is very high quality, while having an abundance of choices.
I didn’t pay for this meal, but I looked up the price…

The magician gave new meaning to "you can have your cake and eat it too." Great presentation and the price is really great. I remember the breakfast buffet at the Manila hotel that was around US$100. This price is great. Sofitel hotel is well known French brand hotel.

For roughly 35 Euro, everything has to be perfect. This buffet looks awesome. I would stay at least 6 hours there ... with 2 small breaks.

Funny that you mention that, since most of his meal was just European style;) But I agree on the Asian food being so much flavorful than European ‘s. Just a note: Switzerland’s not all of Europe, food and people there quite boring.

@DmY808 As a New Zealander living in Switzerland (Swiss wife) I get your point but you're comparing apples to oranges. I'm a massive seafood fan but Switzerland is not exactly the best place to find great seafood which makes sense because it's landlocked. It makes no sense to Swiss to have an extensive range of seafood because it means getting it from overseas. It's like Asia having an extensive range of cheese. You will however find great seafood in Spain, Portugal, France for example. As far as crime is concerned, Switzerland is one the safest countries in the world. I agree Switzerland is expensive but the salaries here are one of the highest in the world so it balances out. I love asian food and miss it a lot.

I've stayed at this hotel several years ago when they were just opened. Yes, the food there was really nice. But they seem definitely improve to a level above.
