This is my winter nail reality. I do not have the rampant peeling issues in summer. Why? I don’t wash my hands any more often in winter, I use oils and lotions more often in winter … My current hypothesis is mine is due the reduced nutrition, moisture, and gas exchange that occurs at the nail bed due to cold fingers and the closing capillary response of our bodies. I am currently sporting very short nails, and buff the ragged peels as lightly as possible to reduce catching and tearing. With Repair Mode and my typical oil usage, the short nails are experiencing much less damage than my attempts to stay longer. It probably starts in November, and lasts until …? With your training Anna, I have been able to react thoughtfully to reduce the damage. Thank you for all your videos.
Agree with your approach. I had peeling nails & wore Nailtiques Formula 2 and other polishes - it just made the peeling worse. After watching this channel, I stopped wearing ANY polish, invested in the right nail files, and used Mavala as directed, jojoba oil, and kerasal to help with skin. About a year later, what a difference!!!!! No peeling at all, skin around nails is healed (I don't pick at it anymore!). If I wear polish, it is only for a few days, not a week. And I take a break after removing polish. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I'm so happy that your nails have improved with this approach (although I'm not surprised 🤗). Congratulations on stopping the picking, it's a difficult habit to break. The best course of action in that case is starting a solid skin care, doing something positive for yourself... Thank you so much for writing :))
I was hoping for a video like that! My nails look very much like hers. I used to file off the damage and so I ended up with overfiled nails which very often were red and painful. I would love to see her manicures in the weeks to follow. And last but (definitely) not least, thanks for the wrap up at the end of the video! It is super helpful.
I am going to give this a whirl! My biggest problem with my nails is probably me! I use them as tools…big dummy. I’ve also been a hangnail chewer all of my life…I think especially when I feel anxious. So, that is a habit that I am working on stopping as well. For now I only wear press on nails with adhesive tabs on occasion. I have made many sets because I enjoy doing nail art…not that great at it but it serves me well. I really appreciate the knowledge that you share. I have learned so much from you and you inspire me. The greatest lesson that I have learned from you is that healthy nails are needed to support any kind of nail extensions. I am interested in seeing how her nails progress…so another vid yes please. “…slip & slide…” 😂😂😂 Have a great day and Thank You for sharing! 😊 ✌️💕
Can’t wait to see your clients nails next week. I did purchase OPI Repair and going to start using it soon. I have been doing the same with no cutting cuticles and must say they are looking so much healthier. Learning so much Anna😊
I use Mavala scientific from time to time on too soft endings. It is definitely working great. I did 2 weeks morning - evening cycle with OPI repair mode and I saw some improvement. I am not sure about it since I did oil soaks. But now after long time of Repair Mode use I can say it it is not miracle worker but it definitely improves the surface of my nails. It has significantly diminish the ridges on them. Thank you for your videos. I learned how to take care of my nails (manicure, moisturizing, oil soaks) and they are much healthier despite the fact that I wear nail polish. Plus I enjoy to listen to your voice when you’re talking, it has very calming influence on my mood. Bonus for me. 😄 I am shopping on Amazon quite a bit so I will try it through your store. 👍
I am definitely interested in seeing this client a week from now. I have the same issue with my nails and have been trying everything. They do well as long as I do not put any type of polish on them. Even Dazzle Dry. Fortunately I’m beginning to like the look of my naked nails. They are definitely a lot healthier than when I started following your channel. Love all your tips
I have been using the OPI repair mode for a month now and I must say it really does work! It did not do a miracle in just the 6 days it claims but after one month I basically have no peeling at all anymore! I have struggled with thin peeling nails for almost 15 years! Everytime I tried to grow my nails out healthy the peeling would just continue and my nails would rip (rip, not break cause they were super thin and bendy😅). I habe been applying the OPI serum at least twice a day (in the morning I follow it up with a hot oil soak) and after I shower or remove nail polish. Now my nails don't catch on things anymore, they are much harder (again they were very very bendy and soft, but be careful if your nails are already hard to begin with) and I think I can finally really grow my nails back healthy 🎉🎉🎉 I also bought the Kerasal cream and it helps with the extremely dry, hard skin around my nails. Everything looks so much better ❤ thank you so much, Anna, for sharing your knowledge with us ❤
Hi) you are a very interesting person! your videos are so important and amazing! I'm from Ukraine, and unfortunately there is not a large assortment of such materials that you have.. I will love to watch you, as I am learning English now and I myself make nails for people. You inspire me very much❤️🔥
I hesitated to buy 'Opi nail repair' and after seeing this video I am still not convinced. I look forward to the follow up with this treatment for an additional week. I am happy for the honest representation and explanation here. I love seeing videos like that. Thank you for that ❤
Thank you for this video! I've been waffling on if OPI Repair Mode is right for me and I think, after this, I'll give it a try! I'd love to see her nails after another week of use.
I love Repair Mode. I started trying to get my nails in shape about 9 months ago and have used a lit of your advice. It has really helped my weak, peeling nails. One word of caution with RM: it can harden the nails over time and I have had some lifting when I have used it too long. It's great stuff, just don't overdo it.
Thanks for showing the second manicure. I can see what you mean about the surface of the nail improving. I get the stress wear exactly where you said and my nails crack to that line so I’ve been keeping them shorter. I need to do more regular oil soaks for flexibility I think. I’d love to see continuous updates on these nails. Thank you.
I got the OPI serum and a new bottle of Nail Envy and followed the instructions to use them together. It’s been a few weeks. I had issues with peeling and breaking at the free edge on a few nails and easy breaks. It’s definitely made a difference in the new growth. The improvement is more obvious on my non-dominant hand. One “problem” is that if I add colored polish and a quick dry top coat, the polish chipped much more quickly then normal even though I took steps to remove any oils from my nails.
Hello there, that's interesting. I find the polish lasts better on me since I've been using OPI Repair Mode. I'm actually referring to the Catrice base coat that is nitrocellulose free that tends to peel off quite fast.
I have started the nail soak and this product twice a day and use a little drop of jojoba after I washed my hands, and already I notice my nails feel better. It is hard to describe, but they don't feel as sensitive. I have filed them (gently with the correct file that isn't too gritty) and this also has made a HUGE difference. This is three days since I discovered your videos and two days of treatment...!
I received a bottle of this when it first came out (I work at that orange beauty store) and while it didn't hurt my nails I'm not sure it really did much to improve them either. Would love to see more real reviews like this one.
Hi Anna and everyone. Anna I love you clips. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I was having hard gel overlays for two years without a break. Two months ago I stopped and was horrified at the damage. The OPI repair and regular warm oil soaks were my saviour. The damage has not yet grown out so I still have obvious dints/ridges but not as deep as they were. Something is definitely working and making the grow out process easy. I recommend repair mode and oil soaks.
I, also have been using OPI Repair Mode. I have very ridged nails and a couple of them tend to split from the tip towards the base. I used it for six days and then put dazzle dry base coat and top coat. I can tell they are a bit stronger and no more splitting. While I’m wearing DD I’m planning to use DermaNail, at the base, twice a day.
This is magic for my nails. I used it for one week 2 times a day and now every 3 weeks when I soak off my gelpolish, applied it directly before oilsoaking my nails and the next day before painting my nails again. My soft, weak, bendy and peeling nails are much stronger and less peeling. Painting my nails also helps a lot. When I let my nails bare they start peeling again. Didn’t try it lately.. love my longer nails to much and don’t want to risk it but I’am curious also if it doesn’t with this treatment 🤔
Your videos are life changing. I followed your regimen (OPI, oil, gentle pushing) and had tremendous results. In 2 weeks my nails looked like brand new. I have callous on my right foot from a metatarsal problem and that callous grows nearly under my second toe nail. GONE with Kerasol treatment!!!! Now the FUNNY thing was then I sprained my dominant wrist and couldn't do anything and it was in a sling for two weeks. THAT was the magic cure! Almost no water. No activities. No breaks in the corners AT ALL (my weak spot), No peeling. No cracking. Strong as heck! LOL. Just stop using your hands and you're DONE! 🤣Although my opposite hand suffered, of course and I couldn't even use manicure tools on it so I pushed back with a wash cloth which is the same thing.
Yes, I’d love to see her progress again next week! What is the cream you recommend in order to keep cuticles healthy between manicures? I already have the kerasal.
Yes, I would like to see this client's nails in another week. Contemplating purchasing the OPI Repair Mode and would like to see if the cost is worth it.
As always, your calming assessment of nail care options is very helpful and informative. I enjoy doing nail art but my Cindy hand gets the abuse, not the benefit, and I struggle with issues that need more … patience. 😏 Your realistic analysis of problems and ways to approach improvements are much appreciated!
Would like to see a one week follow up too please. Thank you (and your client too) for making this video and for putting the How To list at the end 😃♥️
It's just a clear nail polish. It used to have formalin which actually worked as a hardener but they removed it and replaced with something that is not effective in my opinion. Nails can't be dry after polish because polish actually raises moisture level in the nails but polish can damage the nail surface so it looks rough which people call "dry"
I also bought a coloured Nail Envy and was about to buy the clear one (which I’ve used years ago and it really helped my nails), so I was about to ask the same question!! Will buy the Repair Mode instead
For at least 3 years I used to polish my nails 3-4 times a week with regular laquer. I had no issues till about a year 1/2 ago when I started to get peeling and breakage. May have been a combination of changes in work environment and perimenipause. In early November of last year I bought the OPI RM. I used it twice a day for 6 days on the bare nails and did see some improvement. I wanted to go back to polish so I have since been following the package insert directions that simply said apply two coats RM then basically polish as usual. I recently saw OPI put instructions online on how to use with Envy and in them they say it's important to wash it off after the 10 minutes before polish. I noticed you also say it needs 10 minutes. That was definitely not anywhere in my instructions. I have developed Onycholysis on all my nails so have ceased use. Could this have been to improper usage of the product?
Those are nice results for only seven days, did she also do oil soaks or anything else? I have been waffling on whether to get the Repair Mode, and I think I will do it. My nails are in decent shape, but I have a little peeling on one or two nails, and hoping this might speed up that process. I also need to try Dazzle Dry! Thanks, Anna. Always appreciate your helpful & informative videos! 💓
Hi Anna- Thank you so much for your videos! I have learned so much!!! I have been doing chemo, and my drugs (trastuzumab, tucatinib and capecitabine) have caused a side effect called hand and foot syndrome, where the nerves burn, the skin thickens, peels, cracks, and sheds, and my nails have delaminated. I have to trim the skin, as it gets so ragged. I found the OPI Nail repair at a local salon supply right before I found your channel, and have noticed some good results. I stopped after 7 days, as OPI said, and then started again. Is there no benefit after a certain number of days of use? I am interested in seeing further results from your client. Thanks!!!
PS Have also been using Eucerin and Kerasal with good results, and lots of soaking and gentle exfoliating. I saw a cream with 40% urea online. Is this too harsh?
So sorry to hear about your side effects! Yes, 40% is too much. 10% is gentle and effective. Below they recommend 10% urea after each hand wash www.breastcancer.org/treatment-side-effects/hand-foot-syndrome
OK I want to know if there’s a way that you can use the OPI nail repair and the OPI nail and the at the same time? If so, how do you apply it? Do you have to remove the nail envy every day to use the nail repair? Hopefully this makes sense.
Thanks Anna, very informative 😊 ❤ I'm about to start OPI Nail Repair myself, so this is great for me***Note to self, Karen, KEEP THIS VIDEO IN YOUR NAIL PLAYLIST!!***
Hi, I have an acrylic question, well a nail brush question. Is there any thing I need to do with new nail brushes before I can use them? All the channels I watch seem to open new nail brushes then use them as is. But I saw a video that said to get the powder(?) out before using. Your expertise on this subject will be appreciated. Also, I’m middle age & have noticed my nails are getting flatter. Is that normal?
I never know if you apply repair mode before or after an oil soak ? I see your client's nail condition improved after one week of use. Love to see a follow up!
I shared the step by step routine at the end of the video. OPI Repair Mode is alcohol based and soaks in fast. Wait 10 min and you can apply oil or so warm oil soak. Oil always goes last.
Would OPI repair mode work for the free edge bubbling up (the top layer is separated but not peeling) or does that just need to be cut off? This especially happens when I hit my nail against something on accident :( My nails have improved so much since watching this channel (been watching 2 years next month) and the nail beds much longer so I always apply londontown milky illuminating nail concealer after my weekly manicure so perhaps after two years it’s surface damage but it’s only the free edge of my middle and index fingers 🤔
To be less damaged or less ridgy? To be less damaged, yes. To be less ridgy, no. Ridges start underneath the skin fold. The matrix is not making the nail plate very evenly. This product cannot change that.
@TheSalonLife Thank you for the reply. I have a ridged nail that splits vertically. I have taken your advice and keep them all short. Oil and oil soaks once a week. I would love to polish them but have worked so hard to improve their condition. I live in the UK so Dazzle dry is not an option. Thank you again for your wonderful videos.
Ty for this video and advice. I’m def going to try OPI RM. I noticed your client has a raised vertical line (not ridges) on a few of her nails. I do too. Do you know what causes these lines? And is there anything I can do about them? It’s been 2+ years and mine are not improving. Ty in advance.
@@TheSalonLife Edit: I found an article saying you can have one ridge or multiple. I did not know that. I do have ridges but not on the nails with these lines. Plus, they look completely different than my other ridges and images of ridges online. I really thought it was something else. I wrote you back (below) thinking my description wasn’t clear. That’s the only reason I wrote “NOT ridges”. I was not questioning your expertise. I hope it didn’t come across that way. If so, I apologize. Again, thank you so much for your help and all your informative videos. 🙏 I really appreciate you replying. I was referring to a single, slightly raised, vertical line on a few nails. NOT ridges. She seems to have one on her right and left ring finger and I think on her right pinky. Mine are more pronounced. I’ve researched and can’t find anything about it.
how will the oil penetrate thru nail polish? I don't wear nail polish for that reason? can you confirm my thoughts or explain how it will penetrate thank you
What a difference in just a week, especially after you wiped with acetone. I’d love to see her progress, thank you. My nails are very similar with being strong, but peely. I’m following all your recommendations, so am hopeful I’ll make good progress. Gel polish grow out is only a few more millimeters, woo hoo🎉
hi anna wondering what your thoughts are on olive and june nail serum? and nail serums in general? Also if you wanted to review qualities of nail polish brands 786 and nailberry and two that I've always been curious about their quality but don't really see anyone talking about them.
To be honest I’m sooooo tired of this type of marketing. Just look at the ingredients, they are the same. There is nothing “healthier” about it. They might have amazing formula or colors or brushes and they might be a wonderful company but that’s about it. The fearmongering they utilize to sell their product is off putting. Non of the polishes are toxic. They would not be allowed on the market if they were toxic (used as directed).
Ps. Olive and June “strengthener” is interesting though. I don’t think the celery helps as much as Dimethyl Urea which is an excellent hardener (but celery sounds better). I like how this is not in a nail polish version. Ingredients Ethyl Acetate, Isopropylidenediphenyl Bisoxyhydroxypropyl Methacrylate, Dimethyl Urea, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Apium Graveolens (Celery) Seed Extract, Water, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol. Net Weight: 13.5 ml
@@TheSalonLife Hi anna, thanks so much for your insight I love hearing what a professional has to say about these sorts of things will look into the olive and june
I would LOVE to get an E-file! Like watching your videos almost makes me more confident that I could use it without overdoing it and it would be so much easier. But at the same time I do have the self-awareness to realise that I probably would overdo it as I often over file my nails and only just stopped cutting my PNF so yeah got to realise I still don't know when enough is enough yet 😂
Haha It’s not as easy as it seems. It’s like seeing someone playing instrument with ease and trying to do it yourself. Because I’ve been doing this for 25 years I make it look easy ;)
Seems to me all the filing away of the corners surely weakens them. Definitely no buffing, especially with a file. And acetone is a very drying chemical that would at least need to be washed off. Not on my nails.
Acetone is a very safe solvent schoonscientific.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Dec-16-Doug-Schoon-column.pdf nailknowledge.org/blog/does-acetone-affect-the-natural-nail
Because it's a safe solvent. The information written by a world renowned chemist and scientist that I included above explain it. PS. Acetone evaporates from the nail completely. There is nothing to be washed off. It removes everything from the nail, that is why we used it. That is why it's used in labs, to clean the glassware. Because it leaves no residue. Cosmetic grade acetone also does not leave residue, so there is nothing to wash off.
You are correct, proper nail care routine is most important. This is an addition to the routine. I also think repair polishes (most of them) are a bit gimmicky. Some of them do contain helpful ingredients but I prefer non polish treatments, like this one, or the Mavala Scientifique (it has legit and proven ingredients) or ISDIN pen that actually has some studies showing that the product improves the nails.
I used this product. Did not make any difference and the bottle is already empty. Used nailpolish only with peel off base in order to keep on track and to not disturb the process of OPI use. The effort and costs weren't worth it, not in my case. I'm perimenopausal, this just fcks up your nails. But I love your progress-videos.
@@TheSalonLife No, six days OPI. Then polish, but nails protected by peel off base by ÜNT (waterbased). This construct only lasts 2 days but doesn't damage the nails, but at least for these two days they are "shielded". Then OPI again. Before that I tried weeks without polish and just OPI, wasn't great. When I was younger it was enough to soak the nails in oilbaths like you recommend. And it worked for a long time. Healthy nails, polish lasted long enough. Then I became old and it didn't work anymore. That's when I tried OPI. But maybe I'm just a gal that bonders are not useful for, my hair is unimpressed by Olaplex too. I wear gloves for dishwashing, I oil the nails religiously. I've got those cute cuticle buddies by Meech in every part of my flat, beside my sink in the kitchen, the bathroom, the bed, in my office, on my desk at home, beside my chillplace in the living room, on my keychain. Others think of me as nuts because of that. And I really use them. I think I treat my nails correctly. You taught me well. Now I will try some vitamins and my goal is the get hormonal treatment, but doctors are reluctant.
How do you know yo need this product? Is it only for chipped nails? Or is this something to maintain your nails in between every 2 weeks. Given dazzle dry a break Two weeks dazzle dry Two weeks off 🩷🤍🩷

Hi Celina! Thank you so much for writing! Have patience and gentle care pays off :)) Take pictures and share with me!!
I would definitely love to see her nails in another week!
Yay, thank you :))
Yes please love to see her next week.
thank you so much for the vote :))
Yes, I would appreciate seeing the progress. Thank you for doing this and educating me.
Thank you so much for your vote :))
I received a bottle of this when it first came out (I work at that orange beauty store) and while it didn't hurt my nails I'm not sure it really did much to improve them either. Would love to see more real reviews like this one.
Were they in need of improvement? Did you have some surface damage?
Would this treatment help at all with nails with ridges that then tear at the edge? thanks
It depends why they tear.
I explain a lot in this video
Nails cracking, chipping, becoming ragged and catching on clothes?

Hi Anna and everyone. Anna I love you clips. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I was having hard gel overlays for two years without a break. Two months ago I stopped and was horrified at the damage. The OPI repair and regular warm oil soaks were my saviour. The damage has not yet grown out so I still have obvious dints/ridges but not as deep as they were. Something is definitely working and making the grow out process easy. I recommend repair mode and oil soaks.
thank you so much for sharing your experience!! Yes, it takes time.... up to 4-5 months sometimes....
this has been on my to buy list since i saw articles about it coming out! i hope to see more updates if the client will continue
I booked her for a week from now, I'm glad that there is an interest :))
So good to hear! I now use it for my clients right after gel polish removal or nail polish removal. As a nail surface damage prevention.
Thanks for sharing
Yes would love to see her again next week.
thank you for your vote :))
Yes, I’d love to see her progress again next week! What is the cream you recommend in order to keep cuticles healthy between manicures? I already have the kerasal.
Yes, I would like to see this client's nails in another week. Contemplating purchasing the OPI Repair Mode and would like to see if the cost is worth it.
thank you for your vote, I'm very curious myself so I'm happy that there is an interest
Thank you so much for your vote :)) and you are welcome :))
I find it interesting when we can follow an individual’s progress. Thanks for sharing. I hope you are able to continue sharing her progress. 😊
I hope so too!
How do you feel about OPI Nail Envy? I just bought the original and a colored version. When I take it off my nails seem so dry.
@@TheSalonLife Welp! There goes my money down the drain. Lol!
Yes please, we see the next visit. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise and thanks to the client for allowing us to see your manicure.
Please follow this client so we can follow her progress.
Yes please continue with your progress with this client.
Thank you, Anna. Yes, I would like to see a follow up video on your clients progress.
Yes, I would love to see this again in a week!
Below they recommend 10% urea after each hand wash

Great recommendations! I think I’m going to try to warm oil soaks to help improve my nails.
Yay, please let me know how that worked for you :))
OK I want to know if there’s a way that you can use the OPI nail repair and the OPI nail and the at the same time? If so, how do you apply it? Do you have to remove the nail envy every day to use the nail repair? Hopefully this makes sense.
This is why I don't understand why they recommend using Nail Envy. It's still a nail polish that can cause additional surface damage.
Yes would love to see results next time. Thank you
Thanks Anna, very informative 😊 ❤ I'm about to start OPI Nail Repair myself, so this is great for me***Note to self, Karen, KEEP THIS VIDEO IN YOUR NAIL PLAYLIST!!***
I’ve used this and it’s realllllly good.
Couple of my nails recently have deformed due to anemia. Any suggestions on what can i do to correct that?
Probably addressing the anemia would be the best bet.
Hello dear Anna! I would love to see another video. and another after that! I wonder if I don’t use polish if I can use Repair Mode daily.
oh totally want to see how this progresses! Thx
Thank you so much for your vote :)
So, if we have peely bits sitting 'on top' of the nail, near the free edge... what do we do with them?
I never know if you apply repair mode before or after an oil soak ? I see your client's nail condition improved after one week of use. Love to see a follow up!
I shared the step by step routine at the end of the video. OPI Repair Mode is alcohol based and soaks in fast. Wait 10 min and you can apply oil or so warm oil soak.
Oil always goes last.
I’d love to see follow ups! The nails are looking good already
thank you so much for your vote :))
Would OPI repair mode work for the free edge bubbling up (the top layer is separated but not peeling) or does that just need to be cut off? This especially happens when I hit my nail against something on accident :(
My nails have improved so much since watching this channel (been watching 2 years next month) and the nail beds much longer so I always apply londontown milky illuminating nail concealer after my weekly manicure so perhaps after two years it’s surface damage but it’s only the free edge of my middle and index fingers 🤔
This sounds like lack of flexibility but I might be wrong. I would recommend warm jojoba soaks in that case weekly.
Thank you!!
Yes! For sure want to see next week.
Hi there! Thank you so much for your vote :))
Do you think this would help ridged nails?
The vertical lines are commonly called ridges... I don't think there is much you can do. Just keeping the nails cared for makes the nails look better.
I really appreciate you replying.
I don't wear nail polish for that reason? can you confirm my thoughts or explain how it will penetrate thank you
Hello there, this is not a nail polish. This is a treatment that soaks off totally. There is nothing left on the surface.
This is such a great 'study' to watch the progress!
Thank you for your interest :))
Yes, please another video next week ❤, still learning. Love ur videos ❤
Yay! Thank you!
You seem to file in both directions? Is it okay to do that?
Until Anna can respond, she has said repeatedly in her videos that it is ok to file both ways.

hi anna wondering what your thoughts are on olive and june nail serum? and nail serums in general?
Ingredients
Ethyl Acetate, Isopropylidenediphenyl Bisoxyhydroxypropyl Methacrylate, Dimethyl Urea, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Apium Graveolens (Celery) Seed Extract, Water, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol. Net Weight: 13.5 ml
@@TheSalonLife Hi anna, thanks so much for your insight I love hearing what a professional has to say about these sorts of things will look into the olive and june
here for the progress report :)
If I use dd mend and maintain daily, do I need the weekly hot oil soak?
It depends on the condition of your nails :)
Yes, please!
What strength of emery board do you use?
The light blue side is 220 grit. I have links to everything in the description box below the video :)
I would definitely love to see your client’s nails in one week ! Thanks a lot Anna !
Oh wow, hi Helene!!! Thank you so much for your vote :))
For filing, is it advisable to file off ridges if we have them?
Nooooooo... filing or buffing the ridges removes layers of the nails. And it removes the top layers of the nail which are the protective layers.
Oops😳 will not do again. Love the channel, thank you!
thank you :))

Seems to me all the filing away of the corners surely weakens them. Definitely no buffing, especially with a file. And acetone is a very drying chemical that would at least need to be washed off.
Not on my nails.
Acetone is a very safe solvent
schoonscientific.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Dec-16-Doug-Schoon-column.pdf
nailknowledge.org/blog/does-acetone-affect-the-natural-nail
@@TheSalonLife Why would you leave and promote a chemical solvent in the nails?
Because it's a safe solvent. The information written by a world renowned chemist and scientist that I included above explain it.
PS. Acetone evaporates from the nail completely. There is nothing to be washed off. It removes everything from the nail, that is why we used it.
That is why it's used in labs, to clean the glassware. Because it leaves no residue.
Cosmetic grade acetone also does not leave residue, so there is nothing to wash off.
Yes, a followup, please!

Didn't do a thing for me. In fact, I thought they actually looked worse. Tossed it in the trash after a week of use.
Oh no! That's too bad!
Good to know! I won’t be trying it.
I think you just need a proper nail care routine - these types of nail repair polishes seem gimmicky 😌❤
@@TheSalonLife is the Mavala fortifying polish useful? I bought it but it just smells like a shine polish...

Were you applying it on top of polish? I'm not sure if I'm understanding this correctly....
Given dazzle dry a break
Two weeks dazzle dry
Two weeks off
