People might not like Genshin because of the gacha side of things, but the passion that the devs put into the game is insane, especially when it comes to the music.
I would argue this game is addictive especially because of its artistic direction. Sometimes I wonder to myself why I like to spend so many hours on a game as grindy as this one, but when I listen to the music, check out the character design, animations, locations etc, it all becomes clear. Art is dangerous.
Especially when you also get some context on what MiHoYo does with all their hard earned gacha money. Building schools and fostering education to places that needs it is admirable. Makes you less guilty spending some money in gacha hahaha

Actually the very small hatching harder than Azhdaha lol....Azhdaha is just tanky but all his moves r slow unlike the hatchlings and normal vishaps...the bigger primo and az technically weaker,just that they 100× tankier that's all lol
Aside from chunky hp, he also has huge AoE attacks. He also has huge damage but it has also a very long and slow casting time to the point its easy to dodge without sprinting. Although if someone doesn't memorized Azdaha's skill set you're bound to get one shotted lmao. For me its kinda perfect thematically because Azdaha is very unstable because of his chaotic nature from being corrupted that he always want to flex his powers but forgetting how to use it strategically because he is so absorbed by his powers and his grudge.
@@oddpotato4038 He's a pretty doable boss as long as you have your own tanking to fall back on. Most people would just use Zhongli or other shield characters for this, but using two healers is also another option.
When you’re fighting Azhdaha, it’s such an intense fight that you don’t have time to really listen and appreciate the music. Even after fighting Azhdaha so many times, it’s only now that I’m realizing how much of an amazing song this is

Honestly Yu-Peng Chen is really setting the bar freaking high for himself! I feel we just saw the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Genshin Impact, but the music already reached an insane peak with this theme. Is he going to be able to write something even better than this?

It's so cool how he got perfectly Azdaha's rage and Zhongli's heroism as he battles him just by listening the music. Yu-Peng Chen is such a musical genius and Alex an excelent reader.
I personally interpreted it as Azdaha's heroic side; there was still a side of him which wanted to fight for his friendship and contract with Zhongli and keep his rage contained. But I'm not too familiar with music theory - is the heroic side taken from Zhongli's theme at all or use any of the motifs?
@@phoenyck There isn't necessarily a right way to interpret it. To me the heroic music at the start of phase2 represents Azhdada and is like a flash to past where he and Zhongli fought shoulder to shoulder. The hauntingly beautiful and sad Erhu is representing Zhongli's memories of the past and regret over what happened to his friend. That transitions into the metal guitar, which to me feels like Zhongli's determination to put down his friend once and for all. He is the lord of Geo, so being represented by metal is appropriate. The guitar then clashes with the massive choir. The choir to me represents Azhdada's rage. They are reciting an ancient Chinese poem with lines like "You have betrayed your faith" which can be seen as Azhdada's hatred over Zhongli's betrayal. The Erhu returns. Zhongli still sees his old friend in Azhdada despite everything. As the choir dies down, the guitar finishes the song.
I've never fought this boss yet but I can already imagine the parts where I go *"BARBARA, IS THE HEAL READY YET?! BARBARA!!"* while I run around like a chicken avoiding the attacks. This music is insane.

I usually avoid using Hu tao while farming him cuz I cant get the good feeling of fighting someone toe to toe if the fight finishes too fast XD. Well after months of doing this I can easily do no hit runs at this point already, I still enjoy the fight weekly nonetheless due to the God tier music. Still if you really want to enjoy this fight to the fullest, Coop is the best way since the HP is increased

These ost actually means a lot more after you understand the lore behind it. For those who dont know, the second phase theme only plays after you had cleared the whole story and fight Azhdaha for the second time as a weekly boss. Now that you have understood the whole picture, you know that you are facing the wrath of a deity who lost his memories and took the wrong idea behind his imprisonment. He had suffered for thousand of years, longing for revenge. Those sweet memories and his love for humanity are no longer there. And you are here to free him from his suffering once more. Yu peng chen did a really great job of protraying the danger that Azhdaha pose, and all of his rage, pain, and glory as a deity. The erhu perfectly symbolizes his magnificence as a dragon, and i literally ascended after hearing it for the first time. The amount of first time hype i got while fighting him is unbelievable. Many sections of the song including 11:19 and 11:53 shows the heat of the battle while also showing his struggle and power. Chinese lyrics in the form of Chu ci also made a huge difference in feels. Mad props to everyone who took part in the making of this song, and also to Alex for the review.

16:08 Yes exactly. The choir lyrics in Azhdaha theme is written by Sun Yu (孙宇) from Hoyo-Mix. In Genshin there’s an in-game NPC named after this guy, who’s a disciple of Guhua. Interestingly enough, the lyrics are in ancient Chinese, very similar in patterns to the poems by Qu Yuan (屈原), who was a phenomenal poet and an exiled minister of ancient state Chu (楚). More interestingly, the meaning of these lyrics are just EPIC and fits Azhdaha himself so well. I feel Yu-Peng Chen's love for music as a whole shines through in the songs he composes already, but after seeing him play the Inazuma themes in the 2.0 livestream I think the word 'passion' somehow does a disservice to what he feels towards his work. Music really is his life. I'm so stoked to hear what he'll be making moving forward, as I feel he's experimenting more and more as Genshin goes on.
The music in Inazuma are awesome too. The ominous, oppressive atmosphere in the Tatarigami-cursed area. The Japanese music inside the story domains. The military-sounding music in Kujou Encampment. They're great.
Yeah so the lyrics for the choir is ancient Chinese script, even many Chinese players don't fully know what they are singing until the full lyrics were published and 'translated' (i.e. transferred from old chinese verse to modern speak) - basically yu peng chen writing a nice orchestral battle track, infuse it with traditional chinese erhu and dizi, then add the rock band, AND THEN dust on some chinese equivalent of shakespeare (edit: you can find the official translations below in a reply, as the translations I used were the original speculations)

I started playing the game because my friends asked me to join because the gameplay is good, it got cool character designs, and in a way... brag about who got the better luck in gacha. Now all my friend left the game because they either had "terrible" luck or having a burnout due to playing it only for gacha, they don't give a single crap about the stories, the lore, or anything other than the gacha aspect and character designs. But I stayed because I noticed there's more than just gacha, gameplay, and designs. They're not playing around in terms of making the stories, the lore, the music, and character depth. I appreciate that very much, and I stayed mostly for these aspects.

When I got into this boss rematch for the first time this song made me tear up a bit since you have way more knowledge about Azhdaha. This wasn't against a villain trying to destroy everything, you are fighting a fallen hero lost to time. It's right there when this song really shines.
yea, zhonglis story quest was so poignant, about erosion and immortality, seeing the earth being chipped away at by humanity and his slow anger that built over time. it gave me chills because it reminded me of the climate crisis we're going through right now as well.
He is both villain and tragic figure. He was the best friend of Zhongli (also known as Morax) who Zhongli gave sight to (he was a tragic lonely creature u can call him a spirit of the earth). He is slowly losing his memory, and his hatred for humans grows stronger, so Zhongli has no choice but to fight him.
Azdaha was an interesting addition, and I hope it sets a precedent for the future. His existence was hinted at from the start of the game if you explored and stumbled upon his tree. Genshin is full of lore secrets just like this, and I hope more are brought to the spotlight since it gives us incentives to comb the world for hints for the future

And yeah, the fight has ways for you to get Crystallize, but it's still not the same as having a character who can protecc on-demand. They could kinda alleviate this by having a free Diona in Abyss alongside Xiangling, but eh.

They released Inazuma recently that's Japanese inspired music and you can really tell that the composer has really done their research and knows a LOT about music and styles cause it's on POINT. Since my families from Japan I was really hoping they'd nail it, maybe go for like Okami style OST cause those are beautiful, and tbh they go above and beyond! You visually travel through different parts of Japan (like chinju forest is so Shikoku and the shrine is very much inspired by fushimi inari) but then the music accompanying it.... AAAAAAAH. Too much joy to put into words!!! On another note Tartaglia's battle theme really goes through different phases, like phase 1 feels so adventurous and excited, fitting to Tartaglia's emotions, and as you go through the phases it takes a more church type feel as he uses powers from back home etc and it's so exciting. Azhdaha was not always evil. More accurately, he actually still isn't. He's still as intimidating, imposing, and powerful as he always was, but he has lost his memories of his fondness of humanity due to erosion and the passage of literal millenia Azhdaha was Zhongli's friend, his equal, but with raw power unrestrained. So yes, he is to be respected and glorified as a hero of the ancient times who aided Liyue, but at the same time feared for his earth shattering might for he has forgotten his purpose and is now shackled within a sealed barrier by Zhongli, much to Zhongli's reluctance doing so to his dear friend
Pretty much he became insane from hunger after humanity keep on mining the leylines, eventually cutting him from his primary food source. Still he knows he has to go but the erosion got the better of him...
I have heard this theme so many times, but Alex just makes me see it in so many different ways that I just can't help but laugh at how much of the song I didn't give respect to. Also seeing him grooving to Genshin music just brings a smile to my face.
I know nothing about music but GOD DAMN just listening to this alone i realize so many beautiful different parts of the song that i can't name, but it just makes the track infinitely better. Azhdaha feels like a side/secret boss, but this music makes him feel like he should've been the one to attack Liyue instead of Osial.
The problem is that we kill the boss to quickly and never have the chance to experience its full glory... when all regions are unlocked gotta start a f2p account just to experience the main story without out-leveing contents...

As amazing as this song is; Azhdaha has so damn much HP, he deals crazy high damage and has unfair attacks that it makes sense that his theme is crazy long.
At 2:44 when you asked if it's heroic or it's dangerous, it's actually the best description of Azhdaha because he was Zhongli's companion but Azhdaha felt like Zhongli left him behind, hence him becoming a danger to humanity. If you’re doing more Genshin, would love to hear you go over “Never Ending Performance” and “Wrath of Monoceros Caeli” (Childe’s themes). They are such bizarre combinations of music that end up working really well. For instance, phase 2’s music starts out with a big orchestra with a bit of Russian influence, but devolves into rock chords straight out of Batman Beyond.
Batman beyond! I was zoning in on that sound while I was doing his weekly boss farm. It felt so reminiscent of something but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
They do make it sound like regions are one per year, yes. With subregions (Chasm, more of Mondstadt), event areas, and potentially collab areas in between. The regions may release in waves though, like Inazuma's islands possibly not all out until 2.2+.

The choirs in the second phase tells us about the story of the Geo archon, how he gave life to Azhdaha and fought alongside him in order to purge the evil from the land. i think this really adds a strong feeling to the music knowing this, especially if you played the game and know the suffering Azhdaha has been enduring for so many years. This track really is a masterpiece and i loved your reaction to this music theme ! Inazuma just came out and i can't wait to see how you will react to the best themes of this new area.
I love the journey from 8:32 to 11:21. It's the exact same one I had. Going from "Ok, I dig this. Don't think they can do better." to "I just f'ing died because my brain was unable to process the awesomeness that just assulted my ears."
If Genshin has one thing, it's music. I was legit in tears as I fought Azhdaha for the first time. The music mixed with the dire situation just had me insanely emotional. I'm no power gamer and I didn't look up his fight beforehand, so I was fighting for my life. I had Zhongli, Ningguang, Ganyu, and Beidou, and towards the end both Beidou and Ganyu were down, Ningguang was extremely low, and I built my Zhongli purely as support so he wasn't doing much damage. But man, right before Ganyu fell, she did her ult and said "For Rex Lapis!" then right after that, she fell and said the one death line that had me in tears. "Rex Lapis, I am sorry..." Not gonna spoil anything for anyone, but those who know who Rex Lapis is...yeah, perfect lines for that situation, isn't it? Zhongli ended up doing the finishing blow. It was just so...insane. I loved every moment of that fight. Now it's not as hard, but that first run was...amazing. Not just because of the fight, but because of the awesome music that added to it all. It's why I love FFXIV's music, too. Mihoyo must've taken a few leaves from FFXIV's book because that's how you make a climatic fight even more climatic.
Man, when I first fought Azhdaha, I was fighting him in a friends world. All 3 other Coop members died so there was only me and my HP Zhongli left... and damn was that fight epic. I can relate entirely to what you wrote... albeit my HP Zhongli dealing 2~3k auto attacks.. but yeah. The second phase of Azhdahas theme really got me.
Compared to watching others' reactions to music, yours was so fun to watch especially since you gave reactions that were based on your own knowledge and experience. Not only that, but you also showed how the music could be heard as other types of genres in a very transformative way. This video is 2 weeks old and I only just chanced upon it so while I understand that you might not see this, I would like to express my thoughts. Thank you very much for this video! You have really expressed what I felt that I lacked the technical jargon to describe. I am from a country with huge numbers of Chinese dysphoria who managed to still retain our Chinese traditions. However, it is slowing becoming a dying one as youngsters prefers the more western style of life compared to the more traditional style. As a result, even traditional Chinese music instruments are in low demand. This game managed to revive it by using traditional Chinese instruments to transition from a traditional tune to a more modern, metal tune to even mixing both together and make it pleasing to the ears. I was really happy when you pointed it out and was equally excited as you when I watched your video. You looked like you were almost moved to tears and it made me feel oddly proud as a Chinese. Thank you so much for your video, and I apologise for my lack of proper music jargon usage.
Arabic undertones make sense, considering Azhdaha's concept is inspired by that region's mythology The music gives justice to that crazy fight, it's hardest in the game by far, and I love it
It's fun seeing him speculate about future OSTs for the other regions, knowing that MIhoyo did exactly that, going to a japanese orchestra to record the inazuma soundtrack
I love the sad and solemn hints between the old-school grandiose chords, like something very ancient swinging between melancholy and fury... much like how Azhdaha is portrayed ingame
Genshin Impact has some really amazing OST. You should also check out "Rex Incognito", "Letter from Ajax", and "Through the Eyes of a Dragon". They are some of the best tracks.

People might not like Genshin because of the gacha side of things, but the passion that the devs put into the game is insane, especially when it comes to the music.
I would argue this game is addictive especially because of its artistic direction.
Sometimes I wonder to myself why I like to spend so many hours on a game as grindy as this one, but when I listen to the music, check out the character design, animations, locations etc, it all becomes clear.

Especially when you also get some context on what MiHoYo does with all their hard earned gacha money.

Aside from chunky hp, he also has huge AoE attacks. He also has huge damage but it has also a very long and slow casting time to the point its easy to dodge without sprinting. Although if someone doesn't memorized Azdaha's skill set you're bound to get one shotted lmao. For me its kinda perfect thematically because Azdaha is very unstable because of his chaotic nature from being corrupted that he always want to flex his powers but forgetting how to use it strategically because he is so absorbed by his powers and his grudge.
@@oddpotato4038 He's a pretty doable boss as long as you have your own tanking to fall back on. Most people would just use Zhongli or other shield characters for this, but using two healers is also another option.
When you’re fighting Azhdaha, it’s such an intense fight that you don’t have time to really listen and appreciate the music. Even after fighting Azhdaha so many times, it’s only now that I’m realizing how much of an amazing song this is

On paper this is absolutely amazing. In terms of practicality Zhongli has a tough time beating this beast of a dragon because of its resistance to Geo

I personally interpreted it as Azdaha's heroic side; there was still a side of him which wanted to fight for his friendship and contract with Zhongli and keep his rage contained. But I'm not too familiar with music theory - is the heroic side taken from Zhongli's theme at all or use any of the motifs?
@@phoenyck There isn't necessarily a right way to interpret it. To me the heroic music at the start of phase2 represents Azhdada and is like a flash to past where he and Zhongli fought shoulder to shoulder. The hauntingly beautiful and sad Erhu is representing Zhongli's memories of the past and regret over what happened to his friend. That transitions into the metal guitar, which to me feels like Zhongli's determination to put down his friend once and for all. He is the lord of Geo, so being represented by metal is appropriate.
The guitar then clashes with the massive choir. The choir to me represents Azhdada's rage. They are reciting an ancient Chinese poem with lines like "You have betrayed your faith" which can be seen as Azhdada's hatred over Zhongli's betrayal. The Erhu returns. Zhongli still sees his old friend in Azhdada despite everything. As the choir dies down, the guitar finishes the song.

the music producer enjoys the music while as a genshin player who farms azhdaha every monday, i feel flashbacks everytime he breaks my shield
I usually avoid using Hu tao while farming him cuz I cant get the good feeling of fighting someone toe to toe if the fight finishes too fast XD. Well after months of doing this I can easily do no hit runs at this point already, I still enjoy the fight weekly nonetheless due to the God tier music.
Still if you really want to enjoy this fight to the fullest, Coop is the best way since the HP is increased

These ost actually means a lot more after you understand the lore behind it.
For those who dont know, the second phase theme only plays after you had cleared the whole story and fight Azhdaha for the second time as a weekly boss. Now that you have understood the whole picture, you know that you are facing the wrath of a deity who lost his memories and took the wrong idea behind his imprisonment. He had suffered for thousand of years, longing for revenge. Those sweet memories and his love for humanity are no longer there. And you are here to free him from his suffering once more.
Yu peng chen did a really great job of protraying the danger that Azhdaha pose, and all of his rage, pain, and glory as a deity. The erhu perfectly symbolizes his magnificence as a dragon, and i literally ascended after hearing it for the first time. The amount of first time hype i got while fighting him is unbelievable. Many sections of the song including 11:19 and 11:53 shows the heat of the battle while also showing his struggle and power. Chinese lyrics in the form of Chu ci also made a huge difference in feels. Mad props to everyone who took part in the making of this song, and also to Alex for the review.

The choir lyrics in Azhdaha theme is written by Sun Yu (孙宇) from Hoyo-Mix. In Genshin there’s an in-game NPC named after this guy, who’s a disciple of Guhua.
Interestingly enough, the lyrics are in ancient Chinese, very similar in patterns to the poems by Qu Yuan (屈原), who was a phenomenal poet and an exiled minister of ancient state Chu (楚).
More interestingly, the meaning of these lyrics are just EPIC and fits Azhdaha himself so well. I’m gonna try translating them though ancient Chinese can be pretty obscure:
邃宇兮 黑翳逐
Deep universe, after which the dark shades chase
山野兮 窘步
Mountains and wilds, through which I walk awkwardly

I feel Yu-Peng Chen's love for music as a whole shines through in the songs he composes already, but after seeing him play the Inazuma themes in the 2.0 livestream I think the word 'passion' somehow does a disservice to what he feels towards his work. Music really is his life.
I'm so stoked to hear what he'll be making moving forward, as I feel he's experimenting more and more as Genshin goes on.

Yeah so the lyrics for the choir is ancient Chinese script, even many Chinese players don't fully know what they are singing until the full lyrics were published and 'translated' (i.e. transferred from old chinese verse to modern speak) - basically yu peng chen writing a nice orchestral battle track, infuse it with traditional chinese erhu and dizi, then add the rock band, AND THEN dust on some chinese equivalent of shakespeare

I started playing the game because my friends asked me to join because the gameplay is good, it got cool character designs, and in a way... brag about who got the better luck in gacha.
Now all my friend left the game because they either had "terrible" luck or having a burnout due to playing it only for gacha, they don't give a single crap about the stories, the lore, or anything other than the gacha aspect and character designs.
But I stayed because I noticed there's more than just gacha, gameplay, and designs.
They're not playing around in terms of making the stories, the lore, the music, and character depth.
I appreciate that very much, and I stayed mostly for these aspects.
Same man, Genshin offers a lot more than just some repetitive gameplay like any other online RPG games already have. Genshin is the best game I've played up to date.

Azdaha was an interesting addition, and I hope it sets a precedent for the future. His existence was hinted at from the start of the game if you explored and stumbled upon his tree. Genshin is full of lore secrets just like this, and I hope more are brought to the spotlight since it gives us incentives to comb the world for hints for the future

They released Inazuma recently that's Japanese inspired music and you can really tell that the composer has really done their research and knows a LOT about music and styles cause it's on POINT. Since my families from Japan I was really hoping they'd nail it, maybe go for like Okami style OST cause those are beautiful, and tbh they go above and beyond! You visually travel through different parts of Japan (like chinju forest is so Shikoku and the shrine is very much inspired by fushimi inari) but then the music accompanying it.... AAAAAAAH. Too much joy to put into words!!!
On another note Tartaglia's battle theme really goes through different phases, like phase 1 feels so adventurous and excited, fitting to Tartaglia's emotions, and as you go through the phases it takes a more church type feel as he uses powers from back home etc and it's so exciting. I like genshin music they really know how to take you on a journey in just a few mins!! It's amazing, composers are amazing.

After playing Zhongli's second character story, you'll see you're exactly on point. Azhdaha was not always evil. More accurately, he actually still isn't. He's still as intimidating, imposing, and powerful as he always was, but he has lost his memories of his fondness of humanity due to erosion and the passage of literal millenia
Azhdaha was Zhongli's friend, his equal, but with raw power unrestrained. So yes, he is to be respected and glorified as a hero of the ancient times who aided Liyue, but at the same time feared for his earth shattering might for he has forgotten his purpose and is now shackled within a sealed barrier by Zhongli, much to Zhongli's reluctance doing so to his dear friend

Pretty much he became insane from hunger after humanity keep on mining the leylines, eventually cutting him from his primary food source. Still he knows he has to go but the erosion got the better of him...
I have heard this theme so many times, but Alex just makes me see it in so many different ways that I just can't help but laugh at how much of the song I didn't give respect to. Also seeing him grooving to Genshin music just brings a smile to my face.
I know nothing about music but GOD DAMN just listening to this alone i realize so many beautiful different parts of the song that i can't name, but it just makes the track infinitely better.
Azhdaha feels like a side/secret boss, but this music makes him feel like he should've been the one to attack Liyue instead of Osial.
The problem is that we kill the boss to quickly and never have the chance to experience its full glory... when all regions are unlocked gotta start a f2p account just to experience the main story without out-leveing contents...

They are such bizarre combinations of music that end up working really well. For instance, phase 2’s music starts out with a big orchestra with a bit of Russian influence, but devolves into rock chords straight out of Batman Beyond.

They do make it sound like regions are one per year, yes. With subregions (Chasm, more of Mondstadt), event areas, and potentially collab areas in between. The regions may release in waves though, like Inazuma's islands possibly not all out until 2.2+.

The choirs in the second phase tells us about the story of the Geo archon, how he gave life to Azhdaha and fought alongside him in order to purge the evil from the land. i think this really adds a strong feeling to the music knowing this, especially if you played the game and know the suffering Azhdaha has been enduring for so many years. This track really is a masterpiece and i loved your reaction to this music theme ! Inazuma just came out and i can't wait to see how you will react to the best themes of this new area.
I love the journey from 8:32 to 11:21. It's the exact same one I had. Going from "Ok, I dig this. Don't think they can do better." to "I just f'ing died because my brain was unable to process the awesomeness that just assulted my ears."

If Genshin has one thing, it's music. I was legit in tears as I fought Azhdaha for the first time. The music mixed with the dire situation just had me insanely emotional.
I'm no power gamer and I didn't look up his fight beforehand, so I was fighting for my life. I had Zhongli, Ningguang, Ganyu, and Beidou, and towards the end both Beidou and Ganyu were down, Ningguang was extremely low, and I built my Zhongli purely as support so he wasn't doing much damage. But man, right before Ganyu fell, she did her ult and said "For Rex Lapis!" then right after that, she fell and said the one death line that had me in tears. "Rex Lapis, I am sorry..." Not gonna spoil anything for anyone, but those who know who Rex Lapis is...yeah, perfect lines for that situation, isn't it?
Zhongli ended up doing the finishing blow. It was just so...insane. I loved every moment of that fight. Now it's not as hard, but that first run was...amazing. Not just because of the fight, but because of the awesome music that added to it all. It's why I love FFXIV's music, too. Mihoyo must've taken a few leaves from FFXIV's book because that's how you make a climatic fight even more climatic.

Man, when I first fought Azhdaha, I was fighting him in a friends world. All 3 other Coop members died so there was only me and my HP Zhongli left... and damn was that fight epic. I can relate entirely to what you wrote... albeit my HP Zhongli dealing 2~3k auto attacks.. but yeah. The second phase of Azhdahas theme really got me.

Thank you very much for this video! You have really expressed what I felt that I lacked the technical jargon to describe.
I am from a country with huge numbers of Chinese dysphoria who managed to still retain our Chinese traditions. However, it is slowing becoming a dying one as youngsters prefers the more western style of life compared to the more traditional style. As a result, even traditional Chinese music instruments are in low demand.
This game managed to revive it by using traditional Chinese instruments to transition from a traditional tune to a more modern, metal tune to even mixing both together and make it pleasing to the ears.
I was really happy when you pointed it out and was equally excited as you when I watched your video. You looked like you were almost moved to tears and it made me feel oddly proud as a Chinese.
Thank you so much for your video, and I apologise for my lack of proper music jargon usage.

I love the sad and solemn hints between the old-school grandiose chords, like something very ancient swinging between melancholy and fury... much like how Azhdaha is portrayed ingame
These kind of themes are, for me, the reason why Genshin Impact have one of the best OST ever made

Genshin Impact has some really amazing OST. You should also check out "Rex Incognito", "Letter from Ajax", and "Through the Eyes of a Dragon". They are some of the best tracks.

The most major reason of why I can't leave Genshin is how good their music is.
What an interesting soundtrack for a game like Genshin. I've never heard that combination of styles together and didn't expect to find it like this.
