Goddamn it's been over 9 years since I uploaded these videos. In retrospect, I really wish I had encoded these videos in a higher resolution. It didn't really matter with the TH-cam player back then not even supporting higher resolutions, but now it looks terrible. Oh well.
When I played against the armor it was ironic. I had Albert, Dart, and Rose on my party. I only had two angel prayers and it was Albert and Dart that died. Rose, who stated that this was her unfinished business, ended up being the only to survive and defeat the helmet and sword.
ah the best team in the game and the one I always beat the game with. Dart since he's required, Meru with that awesome magical defense and magic attack makes the Psyche Bomb X so broken(especially if you have a turbo controller), and Haschel with that speed and power.
Late but Haschel at the max level surprisingly has balanced all rounder stats, including his magic attack and defense. Coupled with how his thunder element makes him neutral against other six elements and being 2nd fastest character, he's a force to be reckoned with. Haschel is the definition of never mess with old people indeed, especially when that old man is master of martial arts. His flaws are probably lightning doesn't have opposite element (which also doubles as an advantage) and all his Dragoon magics are single target only.
Everyone has their own opinions. I like Meru cause she's the fastest character in the game, has the strongest addition(Well the highest damage % of any addition) in the game, has the strongest magical power in the game, and her heal only costs 20 MP and heals 50% HP to your whole party and removes all harmful status effects.
Instant death attack begins at 4:44 and misses at 5:03. As sheep as this attack is, it seems even cheaper that Dragoons are invulnerable to it. The 'Night Raid' screen black out with the colored claw scratches is a Dark element attack.
My party consisted of Rose, Dart, and Miranda. Rose had her Hairband while Dart and Miranda were equipped with a Talisman (yes there are two. One in the Zero Gravity Valley and the other on the Phantom Ship treasure chest minigame). Use the Special with Miranda (she'll become twice as strong while the boss weakens). White Silver Dragon runs him over.
Indeed, it doesn't take much to finish him After White Silver Dragon. Especially if you waited and did Star Children first. Because then the heal from White Silver Dragon came right on time.
Go for the sword first. Destroy any other part of the armor before the sword and it will do a instant death on one of your players. Pissed me off so much when I didn't know that.
Power up Miranda Special dragoon transformation White/sil dragon attack Instant sword death move misses because you're in dragoon form GG in 3 minutes or less -.-
@Cyril86 Lol I had divine dragoon most of the game because when I first play through this game I did no side leveling or sidequests, and I spent more time running back through the final dungeon leveling up to fight the final boss (therefore having the Divine Dragoon Spirit) then I did playing the rest of the actual game!
Sweet memories. I later would learn to stock up on Dancing lights specifically for this fight, but I did this battle early and by accident while exploring. Shana and Rose saved my ass I was definitely not prepared. 😂
(Late responding, xD) I think they also forgot Kamuy and the Virage in Kadessa. Those were optional, too, albeit pushovers... but the dragon spirits are in this list, too, so Kamuy and the Incomplete Super Virage should be here O.O

Meru and Lenus are/were also winglies. their wings didnt interfere with the Dragon Spirit in the slightest. play through again, and recall how the Divine Spirit only reacted when Dart was around. Lloyd was in the armor while holding the spirit out. none of the other dragoons ever did such a thing, not even Rose. I used to think he was a dragoon too, but i think at one point even he says something about it not choosing him.
@asianmusicfan001 also remember that until the spirit was awakened, Dart had held the Red-Eyed Dragon spirit for a long time, and it never properly reacted to him until Rose MADE it. Remember, these things are semi-sentient, and choose their wielders, much like how the White-Silver Spirit left Shana in disk 3 for Miranda. Lloyd TOOK the spirit from the Dragon's Corpse, after DART killed it. The dragon didnt react to Lloyd, it reacted to Dart.

You find this guy on disk 3. Remeber in the snowfeilds when Llyoud tells you about Diaz's plan. Well there should be a sign close to across there. Dart wil fall and the first time you go down there your party members will call you clumsy.
Re bought. Re played this again, since I got it 12 years ago. Still remember the bosses. 40 hrs. Game play done. 100 % trophy now. 🏆. Eat dragon spam🐉. 175% dmg. Then get the SP Back. Rewind features are great additions. 😅. Easier now.
kill the sword first but that will kill the person who killed the sword. then kill the armor cause the armor i think has the the power to attack and then kill the head cause the only thing that does is command block.
@Cyril86 Or he just forgot that you get Divine Dragoon at the end. Or he was stuck on Melbu Frahma for most of the game. Although, you can use the Divine Dragoon in normal fights after you get it if you go back to grind etc.
No i didn't make Faust video yet. I've been a bit lazy about playing this game for a while now. :P Touhou games have been draining too much of my time. xD
i find merinda a bit more useful because you can always bring one of your parties back to life. and in addition heals. another useful character to use is rose because of her addition demons dance which is really strong and gives allot of sp. but that's just my opinion.
instant death still effects you, but the thing is... equips in disk 4 allow you to get 50-70% MagEva with dart, and meru gets that without even trying. oorrrr... Talisman

I know it may be a little late posting this, but do you not count the whole side event of soldiers in the fortress in the forest after you defend Hoax a kind of optional boss thing?
here what u do. when u in vellweb find rose's hairband. and during this fight equip it to rose and let her kill the sword and enjoy the mins of laughing as that death attack does nothing to u at all.

@allycat535 dragoons aren't cheap. they trade offense for defense. also, dragoon form kind of sucks, since you can't use healing potions. so i end up never using dragoons except once or twice early in the game.

hmm i'll agree with you on the fact meru has good magic but i myself never cared to use her because for healing i found rose and her astral drain a good combo or in place of rose use shana/miranda who's dragoon healing magic is good though not good on the offense part with their dragoon magic

In the final dungeon(after the point of no return), with the Divine Dragoon. It took me like 5 months before I finally beat it. I was making fun of Cyril86, who obviously cheated.

How'd you get this powerful? I'm just about to fight Lloyd in my game, and my guys (same team that you are running) are all about level 26-27. Dart and Meru are both level 3 dragoons, and Haschel is a level 2 Dragoon.

Disc 3 when you are going to Velbeed (i think). Befor eleaving you can go downa slope and go to the fort. there you learn that Zieg and Rose were to be wed and get the Soul eater. Good blade and giving Dart the Threapy Ring prevents the life draining
I don't understand. I'm only level like 15. I just made it to disc 2. I don't know what to do with the stardust. But about the video...Wow! what equipment did you use? Why did you choose those 3 players? What instant death are you talking about? How did you get around it? How were you doging so much?
Adam B This may be really late and not even needed but in answer to your questions, his equipment is kinda hard to tell since I didn't actually see the character screen. The instant death is the claw thing that grabs your character, he got around it because dragoons are immune to insta-kills, and he was dodging with Meru so much because of her high speed and high evasion and high magic defense, he chose dart because he is required, meru for the high speed and magic defense, and haschel for speed and power.
Adam B Stardust is what you give to Martel. For every 10 you give, she gives you an accessory that you cannot find anywhere else in the game. When you give her 50, she gives you the Vanishing Stone, which allows you to fight Magician Faust. The Talisman is ideal, which avoids instant death. There are two in the game.
Dragoon immune to insta kills? Try saying that during Lloyd fight, LMAO. I never had Dragoons immune to instakills but if you wear an item that protects you from instant death, then it's a different story. The trick about the claw is mostly that it targets the last attacker of the sword so you know whom to wear the damn thing on.
No, Rose's a complete miss here. She's dark element - and the polter suit is too. The best bet is talisman on a fully leveled up Dragoon Miranda and let'er hit the damn thing till it dies. It's not gonna take a lot of hits. 2-3 of the dragon attack and pop goes the weasel.
i loved this game never beat it though cause my playstation broke, my 4th disk got cut in half and the last boss kept kicking my ass cause i couldnt change my party. dragoon isnt cheap it's part of the game, also i never knew dart had alot of attacks with teh red armor cause i had divine most of the game
@Xenmaru00 You're incorrect. Lloyd was a dragoon as he possessed the Divine Dragon spirit. The form you're talking about was when he activated his dragoon spirit. (That's where he got the swanky armor. lol) The reason his wings are different was because he was a also a winglie. If you make it to the end in disk 4 to the final battle against Melbu Frama he fights with the party and ends up getting killed then passes on the Divine Dragon spirit to Dart and the Dragonbuster sword to Rose.

This was an amazing fight, one I took part in every playthrough just to get Dart his most powerful weapon. Makes me miss this game a ton lol

@@Silversorcerer that is true. But Dark attacks don’t hurt rose much anyway. The white dimension weakens dark attacks. Dart has on a Legend Casque.

I remember fighting polter armor when i used to have the game. I got beat by him on my first try because of the Night Raid and the ohko attack

It's called a Capture Card. It has RGB inputs and shows the capture on your computer, and gives you the option to record it.

That is strange, but Dart's Dragoon headband has green circles on it which represent his "red-eyed" dragon's eyes.

He was in Dragoon mode, so he can't get affected by any status alteration!

The 175% is a typo in the game i believe.
It's really 75% power, the same as Final Burst.
just so ya know, that attack with the claw marks is called Night Raid. its a Powerful (lv3) Dark spell. just use rose and then laugh at it ;)

its on psp if u have custom firmware but its better on ps1 ,cuz it crashes sometimes on psp. at least the game is free so its worth the little bugs

Meru's personality reminds me of Precis from Star Ocean 2...think her (meru's) voice actress would have made a better match than the original one

Why did you choose those 3 players? What instant death are you talking about? How did you get around it? How were you doging so much?
Adam B This may be really late and not even needed but in answer to your questions, his equipment is kinda hard to tell since I didn't actually see the character screen. The instant death is the claw thing that grabs your character, he got around it because dragoons are immune to insta-kills, and he was dodging with Meru so much because of her high speed and high evasion and high magic defense, he chose dart because he is required, meru for the high speed and magic defense, and haschel for speed and power.
Adam B Stardust is what you give to Martel. For every 10 you give, she gives you an accessory that you cannot find anywhere else in the game. When you give her 50, she gives you the Vanishing Stone, which allows you to fight Magician Faust. The Talisman is ideal, which avoids instant death. There are two in the game.
Dragoon immune to insta kills? Try saying that during Lloyd fight, LMAO. I never had Dragoons immune to instakills but if you wear an item that protects you from instant death, then it's a different story. The trick about the claw is mostly that it targets the last attacker of the sword so you know whom to wear the damn thing on.

No, Rose's a complete miss here. She's dark element - and the polter suit is too. The best bet is talisman on a fully leveled up Dragoon Miranda and let'er hit the damn thing till it dies. It's not gonna take a lot of hits. 2-3 of the dragon attack and pop goes the weasel.
i loved this game never beat it though cause my playstation broke, my 4th disk got cut in half and the last boss kept kicking my ass cause i couldnt change my party. dragoon isnt cheap it's part of the game, also i never knew dart had alot of attacks with teh red armor cause i had divine most of the game
kind of a shame how you never use magical attacks with meru,cause that's where her strength lies(besides healing)
@Xenmaru00 You're incorrect. Lloyd was a dragoon as he possessed the Divine Dragon spirit. The form you're talking about was when he activated his dragoon spirit. (That's where he got the swanky armor. lol) The reason his wings are different was because he was a also a winglie. If you make it to the end in disk 4 to the final battle against Melbu Frama he fights with the party and ends up getting killed then passes on the Divine Dragon spirit to Dart and the Dragonbuster sword to Rose.
also i started replayed and only got to disk 4 before it got cut in half....
