Hi, can I ask what happens if you get a message saying this disc can be neither played nor recorded? I have a DVD-R I wanted to copy a VHS tape to, but I get that message, or I get the message: "This function is not available" when I press copy. There is also no option to copy in the menu. Just setup and something about schedule/time.
If the device you are using has HDMI, you should use HDMI. If it doesn't have HDMI, I just do composite for an easier hookup. It doesn't matter though, having it connected to HDMI isn't going to create a higher resolution recording. It may look better on the TV, but the recording is the same.
Is there a way to connect my Samsung Dvd-VR320 to a computer on to a external hard drive?
Thank you
Is there any way to finalize the recorded DVD disc without the remote control?
No, you will need the remote for that.
Does the Samsung dvd-v9800 2009 model do the same function? VHS to DVD record transfer
I need to know how to record from my prerecorded VHS to to My DVD ? Not from the TV Channels

My first guess is that you loaded the wrong recordable disc.

So in general recording from vhs to dvd should be done with composite cables? I thought it can be done using composite component or hdmi?

So it is important to get DVD-R blank discs. I accidentally got DVD+R and it wouldn’t work.
DVD-R work better in my experience.
