- Welcome to MGTracey. This is a review of the #NESCAFE Dolce Gusto coffee pod machine. Learn how to set up your NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® #MiniMe coffee machine by #Delonghi . This machine is quick to make drinks, has a small footprint on your shelf and it switches itself off when the drink is made, so you can choose the size of the drink. It does have a smaller water tank than ideal, no seasonal pod changes to the range and the pods are larger than other machines. Not sure if pods they can be easily recycled.

How do you get a full cup.. Mines usually gives me about half a cup
Move the bar to a larger cup size before starting
Same. Came here to see what size drink happened for others. I don’t want mini cups of coffee!

The water tank is so difficult to take out is there a back to it?
When inserting the coffee pod if it states 1 bar, can I move to the second bar for a more intense flavour , or will it be weaker
Just more liquid so weaker
Do you need to rinse the black pod drawer after each use?
No not unless you have a pod problems and ground coffee has escaped
My machine moves forward when I turn it on, Does it need a stand of some sort like you've got in this video?
It shouldn’t really move. Is everything docked correctly?

Now that you have an automatic version do you still prefer the Tassimo? I have the same Tassimo as yourself, but I’m thinking of changing to one of the automatic Dolce Gusto, mainly because the pump pressure is a lot higher on Dolce Gusto, and I enjoy espresso coffee as well as longer coffee. Also Tassimo have discontinued the breakfast tea and it seems quite a lot of other flavours over the last few years, there is now a big difference in the amount of varieties between the 2 brands. Is the coffee any better on the Dolce Gusto due to it using higher pressure? I am not bothered about it having to be set manually vs barcode, just how good the end product is.

I have gone back to Tassimo because of the wider drink choices especially costa coffee range.
I have both and admit the drinks are cheaper and wider in choice on the dolce but I feel still seem more premium on the tassimo? I think the tassimo is far easier to use and a bit more complete. The dolce seems a lot more manual and you have to be concentrating on everything to make that drink. Miss a bar here, don’t check water there and it’s game over

The lever on my friends one will not stay in place. Is there a reason for this?
It faulty I’m afraid
Love the drinks but the machine itself has its flaws, needs a water low level light especially as the water tank is located at the rear. The lights flash to tell you that you’ve ruined a drink when water runs out so why not when you switch on, tell you it’s low? The lights are there. Simple fix and available on similar priced tassimo. Plus how do you discard pods? They are full of water and leak everywhere.
is the coffee tastes the same form the starbuck cafe?
Yes it’s very close
