Thank you Steve and Anita. because of your fab video we are staying in Pine walk atm we absolutely love it. Don't think we'd have chosen if it hadn't been for your great video. It's so beautiful here having an amazing time at the ILLA DOR hotel. Thank you!!
Correct. Never approach a roundabout in Mallorca like you would in the UK. I made that mistake when we were here a few weeks ago and nearly hit the side of a bus trundling all the way round the outside! Puerto Pollenca is a fabulous resort. Shame you didn't get to see Cala Sant Vicenc just the other side of the mountains. Beautiful place.
WoW what a beautiful place. If you get to the UK hope you have a lovely time... If you come to Hampshire & have any spare time I'm in Surrey so would like to met up & thank you both for all the hour's of entertainment you have given us both. Keep safe
Great video again, thanks. Warm, sunny and - especially - dry weather seems to be exclusive for the Med these months. Autumnlike weather again over here in Northwest Europe, as usual.....
Hello Steve and Anita. We Spent 3 yrs in Puerto Pollen a. Beautiful area. Tiberi Bistro was our Favourite place to eat. Marco used to make us feel really Welcome.
Nice video. You started your walk at a very hot time of day and time of year! I got heatstroke doing that in the summer a couple of years ago in Santa Ponsa. Had been to see an apartment in Costa de la Calma at 11:00 and then walked into Santa Ponsa and got baked. There was very little shade anywhere. Ended up somehow making it to an Irish bar someone on the street recommended as it had air conditioning. A tip for visitors to Mallorca: Best to avoid too much walking around outside at midday, especially in July and August in Mallorca. Early morning or after 6pm is much better and safer. Always carry water and a sun hat! Btw, costa de la calma is a bit less expensive than some other areas. Nearly rented a studio there from an elderly English lady who turned out to be very dodgy! Thank God I went with my gut and did not rent it. The area is very quiet in general, but absolutely dead in winter.
The first 25 years of our holidays to Mallorca were spent in Pto. de Pollenca. Very many happy memories & friends there. Once invited to come over and sing at a Wedding in the old Town, just before the Festival began! Beautiful Church. Reception @ Styx.
Looks very nice Steve. Maybe one day we'll visit from Soller. We have Mum and daughter holidays (while my daughter's husband stays home lol) and neither of us drive, so it'll be the long bus journey! it looks really lovely. Thankyou!
Fantastic video Steve. I love your local knowledge. The planes at the end were great. I’m going to do some googling later today and see if I can find anything about the dornier day that they had
There's some information about the anniversary in the local press. www.ultimahora.es/noticias/part-forana/2021/08/07/1290699/historia-pollenca-anos-hito-hidroaviacion.html
Thanks Steve+ Anita, especially in that scorching weather, love Puerto Pollenca looks lovely as ever, love your staycation videos ,fab, any chance you might go to Cala Bona/Cala MIllor?
Great to see Puerto Pollensa! We had our week there last month at the Illa D'or which as amazing! You scrolled into La Fortaleza where 'The Night Manager' was filmed and where Rafael Nadal had his wedding. A gorgeous part of Mallorca looking over to the wonderful mountains. Hope you both had a great time!
Thankyou for this lovely video Steve! it's my favourite place, i've not been since october 2019, but i've booked for april 2022. I usually stay around 15 mins walk from the pinewalk,as its much cheaper, i typically pay less than £400 for flights, hotel and transfers for 7 nights, in april and october.I usually stay at a lovely family run hotel called PANARAMA-DON MIGUEL. or, HABITAT APPARTMENTS.I love just wandering round and stopping off at a bar or restaurant for a drink or meal, thats why i like april and october, as it's typically in the low 20's c, ideal for walking around!
We are in Mallorca at the moment but saving the last few for when we get home 🤣. Arta is one of our favourites and we were in Port de Pollensa today, a day to late or I’d have bought you both a drink for keeping us sane(ish) for the last year 👍
Nice one Steve -- another one of my retirement spots on your channel. Still cant decide between here, and the South West. Oh well, decisions, decisions.....
Hi. I have watched all your videos and there are great. We are coming on 10th September to magaluf. There is another travel update in 3 weeks. What do you think the chances are it will stay amber or go to green. Also do you know of any changes to majorca will change like the amount of people sat inside and out and also the 1pm have to be in. P.s keep the videos going as I can't stop watching them. You are the Attenborough of majorca haha.
Thanks Jason, we have had a lot of cases in the past 2-3 weeks but the numbers are beginning to drop now. Added to that, they are going all out with vaccinations, with 12 and up being vaccinated now. We are not out of the wood though. The numbers in ICU are going up. In three weeks time we should be in a much better situation, so I wouldn't expect any new restrictions. The goverment here are very cautious, so easing of restrictions will be slow.
@@SteveandAnitainMallorca thank you very much for the reply. We'll just have to sit patient and wait and see. Even if everything is not open, will still be good to get away for a few days. We are stopping in globales honolulu so in center of magaluf. Going in for 1 may be a blessing as means not be too rough in the morning.

Hi guys love your videos I have a question for you or anyone, I'm fully vaccinated. But I had one in the UK and the 2nd in the Netherlands can I travel to Spain with this both are the same vaccine of course
