Thanks Steve and Anita, it brought a tear to my eye when you were talking about the passing of Anita's father, my Mum used to sing O Tannenbaum to us when we were children as she was in Jersey under the occupation and they had to learn German ,great to hear your story 👊
Der Anita and Steve. Thanks for tour stores. Its fantastisk to follow you.. And interessant to gear about tour background and tour decision to move to Mallorca. Best wishes to tour Borg from Denmark.
This has been absolutely amazing to watch ,I have watched your history part 1 2 & 3 tomorrow I will watch part 4 Thanks Steve & Anita I’m so glad I recently found your Channel ! I’ve been to Majorca many times over the last 10 years & done Also A few med cruises .We always have stayed in Palma Nova in several different hotels but our favourite has to be The Santa Lucia
I reallt enjoy these videos about your life :) thanks for sharing. We are just starting our Mallorca adventure. We will rent an appartment starting September and go there a couple of times per year untill we are able to move there full time in two years time.
I am a new subscriber and have been working my way through all your vlogs, love your story. I am one of those that could only dream off living in Spain. I have travelled so many different places and love listening to peoples stories and seeing all the different areas.thank you for sharing
So interesting hearing of your experiences in Mallorca. Palma NOVA was my first holiday abroad in 1972 was wonderful. You made the right decision to have a life with super warm climate & stunning beaches 🍾🥂🍷🍷☀️🌴🐚
Fantastic to hear this phase of your lives. Would make for a great book. Do your children live and work on the island or on the mainland. Looking forward to the next installment.
After finishing school all three of our children went to study in the UK. Our daughters settled there but our son eventually came back and st up home here.
Thanks again for a lovey insight into your time in Mallorca , quite fascinating . We did bump into John B just as I thought , funnily enough they were at a restaurant . We back home now , in quarantine :-(, next visit September we got the mainland to do in july first . Keep up the good work and thank you ...!!!!
I’m Loving your life/history videos Steve and Anita! What courage you both had moving to Majorca! It’s my favourite place in the world to go on holiday and often stay in Marina Portals. Looking forward to your next video!! Thank you for making them! Helun (from Barry in Wales) 😁
Just love hearing your history of your early life in Mallorca. So sorry to hear about Anitas dad, how sad and of course your dad too Steve. Life is unpredictable for sure. Hope your family are all well now. Your 'tennis fall' sounded horrific Steve. Thought it was a safe sport {obviously not ! I do like red vino but my fav is a white Pinot Grigio. Thanks for this video S & A x
@@SteveandAnitainMallorca do you think it’s changing in any positive ways. I try to be positive, but I’ve experienced a lot that is quite negative in the last 5-6 years in Mallorca. Some of it quite shocking.
@@QueenBee-mk8xm The roads are mush better than they used to be. I like the train to Inca - Manacor. Flights are much cheaper now. I paid 270 pounds for a return flight in 1985! The beaches are cleaner. We used to find a lot of oil and tar on the beaches back then. Rubbish collections have improved. Many places had no bins so people put their bags of rubbish on the streets to be collected. Lots of new health centres have been built. Most areas have sports complexes.
@@SteveandAnitainMallorca Thanks, that’s good to know. Re flights, they can still be quite expensive though depending on time of year. Especially Easter and end of term holidays and of course in high summer. Ryanair is cheap and their flights times are usually good, but their pilots do not know how to land without suddenly crashing into the runway. Definitely do not recommend and do not fly with them anymore after many bad experiences. Easyjet is significantly better. BA is okay, but expensive and does not let you take as much checked in luggage as Easyjet.
@@QueenBee-mk8xm You got me thinking about how things have changed over the years and started to make some notes. There could be an interesting video there.
We've Just binged watched 1,2 and 3 I wanted the stories to carry on, absolutely loving it, what video follow's 3 please? Its fascinating. You've had a lovely life so far, love your exploring walking and talking.
Thanks Steve and Anita, really enjoy your videos, so interesting hearing about your life in Majorca. We were due in Palma Nova on Monday coming but yet again canceled and moved to October 🥺 I think your videos are the closest we're going to get to Majorca this year lol
Steve love your videos and go to palma nova and always stay at the santa lucia hotel although our holiday in may 2016 had to be altererd as our flight was cancelled. So we ended up in the Tropico and I just want to let you know the cocktail bar Tropico has nothing at all to do with the hotel and is a seperate business altogether. My wife and I live in Bradeley which is close to Burslem and Tunstall in Stoke on Trent and I myself was born in Hanley in 1953 and as an apprentice went to Stoke college in the old Longton high school building in Trentham road. Hopefully we will be able to visit in September this year but I will not hold my breath, although we have two holidays at Santa Lucia booked for 2022 in May and September. Should you wish to have a drink with us and get a rundown on Stoke and what is happening let me know and we could meet possibly in the 3 Brothers or the Orion bar. We are both Port Vale supporters so we could have a chat about football and I can tell you about my experiences with Robbie Williams who was junior captain at Burslem golf club when I was the competition secretary. Stay well and keep on doing the videos they certainly cheer me up.
I went to Stanfield Tech., which overlooks the Vale ground, and I taught at Longton High School when it was in Box Lane in the Meir. Anita taught at Blurton High. Before we moved to Mallorca we lived in Trentham. It's a small world!
Thanks Victor, the obvious answer is our family and friends who live there, but we both miss the regular visits we made to the theatre. At first there were things that we were used to and couldn't buy here, but now we can get just about everything that we need.
Full of admiration , some lovely memories . Was Magaluf Park hotel where Mambo's is now ? I remember it being on the beach or very close , we stayed there when visiting my aunt and uncle
Our Spanish is not perfect but we get by. Anita likes to chat to the neighbours, who don't speak any English and I used to have a business where many of the client were Spanish, so was forced to spak Spanish.
Brilliant Steve, You should write a book about your experience as brits abroad these videos have been very engaging.
Thanks Jay K, perhaps when I retire!
Absolutely loving these videos. Please keep doing them.
Thanks, will do!
Steve and Anita, the first two stories were great, and so was this one. Should get some fine wine for Anita as appreciation..

Great video as always.
Thanks again Adele.
As always fascinating! Surprised that after holidaying on the Island for 30 plus years, we never bumped into you - or maybe we did!
I always wonder that, have we bumped into each other. We'll never know.

It is a lot harder now with Brexit, but if you are determined you can do it.
Hi steve fab story , sure I bumped into to you in eltoro many years ago working with chris ? 🤔
We had Go Logo in El Toro. Where the Anchor bar is now.
