Matthew Priest, along with Keith O'Neill from Cast, was one of the best drummers to emerge from the Britpop scene in my opinion. Matthew made his drumming look effortless, especially on something like In A Room, which is so Keith Moon its unreal! Also, I met Andy Miller back in '97 at T In The Park, and he was a top bloke!
Thanks for uploading the whole set. I was there to but was 4 rows back I enjoyed when the played Good Enough song thanks again for the whole live play it will be great to look back at! 😊❤
Nice surprise that James lad!..nice1..I was at the Southend gig the other week so this vid is like for like..nice lil memory this..we had a right laff before and after the gig..me and me mrs go back years with dodgy…in a nutshell..they’ve always looked after us…back in the day Nige asked to do a version of 1 of my songs as a b side to 1 of there singles..I was proper made up..I was originally a drummer and it gave me loads of confidence that I must on the right track as far as writing choons go..I asked Matt recently if I can do a lil support slot/he said he may be able to sort something out so fingers crossed coz dodgy are 1 of me all time faves! Btw…There 2 last albums ‘stand upright’ and ‘what are we fighting for?’ Are Wkd albums man…all there albums are class man!…look forward to hearing a new…Nigel’s recent solo ‘make believe love’ album is a cool album too…lyrically/vibe wise/drumming etc they’ve always been an influence with all me other influences..big up the mighty dodgy! 🤟

Great! Staying Out and In A Room among the Top Songs ever, let alone Brit-Pop or 90s
Great band... One of the best... Class video. These men are so friendly
I saw Dodgy a couple of times in the ‘90’s in Ireland. Brilliant band, that first album is a personal favorite especially.
Thank you for this.
Very welcome
I remember watching dodgy at Manchester Apollo in 96-97 I think supported by space. It was a good night
Saw them Don Valley Bowl about 5 years ago with OCS, The Coral, The Bluetones.

Yeah I've always loved their stuff
Takes me right back to the 90s James - a much better time. Cheers for the video :)
Saw em last year at Pub In The Park in Warwick. Still sounding great.

Saw them at Feile 95 (one of the best line-ups you will ever see at a festival). They were great.
I was there too - that was an incredible weekend/experience. Dodgy were brilliant.
Cool set!
But if it is good enough for you, it is good enough for me
In A Room, at least the album version, is the best who song Pete Townshend never wrote.
Interesting stuff as always James!

Dodgy!
Just around the corner! Lol
Nice to see Neil 'razor' Ruddock is keeping well.
Think he had a pop on Denise Can Outen?
Great video - although unfortunately the date on the thumbnail says 2013…..
Ha well spotted. Fixed it now...
my dad accidently stole the lead singer's beer once

Eh? They’re doing what they like and mostly pretty good at it.
If you no like, use the off button 😊

0:22 lucky guy
I remember when he was Matt the hat.
A shame you stood dead centre, a few steps to the side and you could have seen the drummer.
This video all seems a bit dodgy to me
