You should really put a filter on the air intake so you don't get bits of dirt in the lines and nozzle (like you found in it) By the looks of that shop there is alot of dirt and debris on the floor that ends up in the air and will end up in that heater. I just shake my head when I see people store them outside or back in the corner all full of dust and wonder why they don't work like they should when they don't fire right up.

Ill tell ya what... you did good. I have a kerosene heater only a few months old. It ran good at 1st. After 5-6 full tanks it started running crazy. I bought a fuel pressure gauge and set it to 4.5 psi like it says to do. I noticed that the pressure drops as it runs. I raise the pressure as it runs and it still drops. It now has another problem of running fine then shutting off then start up. It does this constantly. Sometimes it seem that the fire goes out, fan runs for 1-2 seconds black smoke then shuts down, then starts up and runs... this happens constantly. The only thing I have really done to it to try and fix the problem was put teflon tape on the screws for the air pump cover just to make sure there was no air leaking thru the screws at the back of the pump. Do you have any ideas of what I might check on this thing... Thanks man.
