I think it's supposed to be "Fal-shee-on". Falchion is French ("Fauchon" in Old French) so most likely the "ch" should be pronounced like "sh". Any native French speaker, please correct me on this one!
You’re correct that it’s a “sh” sound instead of a “ch” sound, but the correct pronunciation is only two syllables. The “shee-on” part is more like “shun.”
It would be interesting if you did a review on mechanical keyboards in general. I think I saw a review that said you use a fairly normal keyboard for work and treat custom keyboards as toys because the customs are distracting. For someone that’s thinking of getting a custom keyboard for work, should they and are they reliable, I’ve only recently heard about custom keyboards having issues with static. A buyers guide would be awesome.

i don't know who you are but I CHALLENGE YOU to do a haptic feedback for a keyboard while gaming and it should be innovative and next level gaming experience.
If they release a full size version or 98% at the smallest, then it might be better. Wooting is too expensive to ship to my country while Asus is sold here so I wouldn't have to pay for ridiculous import fees.
The ASUS ROG Falchion HFX is a prime example of style and substance competing for dominance. Sure, it packs in some cool features-magnetic switches, customizable actuation, and dual USB ports-but does it truly challenge the Wooting 60HE? Not so fast. The real magic of Wooting is its modularity and accessibility. Wooting is like the Swiss Army knife of keyboards, offering flexibility and customization that leaves most competitors, including ASUS, feeling rigid and limiting. If you want something straight out of the box, ASUS isn’t a bad choice. But if you're serious about tinkering and personalization, Wooting still reigns supreme.
I would love to never have a website inject code into any of my peripherals. Keep it in an app if the software is modifying code. Sounds incredibly vulnerable
I reviewed this keyboard too! I thought the same: expensive but pretty good. Nothing exceptional, nothing too bad. I'm glad you had the same takeaways from me, as it was my first ever keyboard review. I'm writing this comment on the keyboard right now, and one thing you didn't bring up (understandably) is how BAD the touchbar on the back is. It's horrible! Also, you can't turn off the damn "Republic of gamers"-lightbar. Otherwise, writing feels amazing and the snap-tap-like functions work well.

I don't have much to say about the keyboard. It's Asus, which is enough of a reason for me to stay away from it with how Asus currently treats their customers. Mind you, I absolutely hate web applications when standalone application would do, especially if it's something I cannot host myself so the application wouldn't bother me all that much if it wasn't for the fact that it's Windows only which tends to be the majority unfortunately. Anyway, there's a fair bit of echo in audio of the recording. I take it there's a wall in front of you when you record and nothing's covering it (and this doesn't mean that you should run into store and buy noise absorbing elements to cover the wall, no. I find using elements such as those silly for most situations unless one is building proper audio studio). Anything that would break the noise can help, even paintings with wooden frames (don't even think about touching Displate for this one, those metal plates potentially only make the issue worse if straight in front of you) or a wall rug (personal preference would be Ryijy or other Nordic wall rugs) can do wonders or just throw thick blanket on top of something behind the camera, doesn't really remove the echo, but it can definitely help subdue it. Negative side effect might be that you may have to bring the microphone closer to your face, possibly maybe (I'm assuming the thing with dead cat hanging from neck opening of your T-shirt is the microphone).
