    My dad was born in Kings Road with his twin brother and was about the same age as James. He was from a large family and did a New Year's swim every year after the Bells. I remember Porty as a kid when all those places were still there: the open-air pool, baths, amusements.

    I swam in that pool ,had some great times my dad come bck from the war to get a job in the power station .Then ended up on the demo of it .
