Great going Darren, always always enjoy the craic, i keep saying its fishing not catching... You can only catch whats there! Sadly im gonna be grounded for a while due to a bit of an injury, so am relying on yoourself and a select few others to give me my fishing fix!! Keep em coming and im already waiting for the next! Tight lines buddy...
Was there a few weeks ago and had a good day.. about 12 mackerel and a pollack. They were there but just came back on last day even at the gate so worth another visit!
Hi Darren, brilliant video as always, I enjoy watching everyone that you do mate, can I ask you a question please? I think I read somewhere that you shouldn’t use supermarket fresh mackerel as bait because the bleach the fillets for presentation purposes and the fish can smell it and it puts them off, what’s your opinion on this and have you ever used supermarket fish for bait? Thanks in advance mate, tight lines.
Hi there . Thank you so much for watching, I appreciate every single view 😀. I have never used supermarket Mackerel. I either catch it and vacuum pack my own or buy from tackle shops. I could well believe it is tampered with for human consumption, though. Tight Lines .
🤣🤣...they are up North, just don't seem to be inshore down here. Watch out for my next video.Got to be the lack of bait fish. Thank you for watching my chum. Tight lines.
Very few mackerel being caught before the first gate on Shields pier. I seen 4 caught today in 3 hours and I had 1 of them. Seems like they're being caught on the end though.
Well, nothing has changed in the last few weeks, then sadly 😥. I won't be venturing onto the pier until it's open. Way more peaceful up North. Thank you for watching my chum.
@@northeastangling not been out for about a month to busy trawling for pawns at the day light and darken the boats going in the drydock at whitby so hope to have a try some where
Hi John, thanks for watching 🙏. They do take lures, but rarely mine 😅. Had more luck with a bombarder and a fly . The rod is an Akios travel spin. 9ft 20 to 50g. I have used it more since and it's quite a nice piece of kit at under £100.
@ceesbouma2776 I didn't like it either 🤣, but yes it's always nice to be out. The next session made up for it. Video out next week 😀. Thank you for taking the time to watch .
Nice one mate. It’s been a tough summer on the lures. You’re certainly not alone!
A very weird season Steve. I don't think I have known it so bad. But...it's nice to be out. Tight lines bud 👍
Brilliant video as always 🎣🎣👍
Hope you're well. Thanks again for watching 👍

Thanks as always my chum. The mark does produce, just a very quiet time at the moment. Nice to be out though. All the very best 👍
Another great video mate 👍 plenty herring in the wear at the minute, glass centre
Thanks,Gavin. I was thinking of popping down, actually . The neighbour loves a bit herring 👍
Another nice video Darren, me and my lad have had a few tough sessions of late too, but its always a good day if you're out with a rod in your hand
Hi Stephen, exactly, as long as you're enjoying being out , fish are a bonus. Watch out for the next video. 😉 . Tight lines 👍

Excellent Gazz, well done. They just seem to be on and off. All the best 👍

Thanks for posting. So you didn’t go for the bass with those lovely rag you had?
This was last week Phil, the Rag is primed and ready for an outing tomorrow 😀

Good to get out regardless of catch rate. There's been Sea Trout up here but they were more interested in the bombarda than the fly.... 🙂
Hi Phil, awful lot about down here. Get a hook 🪝 put in the bombarda! Take care my friend.
Great video it's nice to be out fishing mate I was out yesterday and no fish all bud
Very odd season this year Andrew. It's always nice to be out, though 😌 👌
@northeastangling yeah definitely m8 am out this week again

@northeastangling I definitely need it buddy

🤣 thank you for the watch, Reggie.
Darren there's been a few caught off the north pier amble but its a long walk from the car park
Hi Kev, that's where I caught my very first mackerel almost 40 years ago 🫣. It's quite a nice walk, though. Hope you're getting out 👍

always nice to get out for couple hours darren fish or no fish another canny video, yes mackie are very poor this year
Very odd season this year, David. I don't know what's going on. Even Eyemouth and St Abbs is poor.
Great video just shows you don’t film all the good sections what size hooks do you swap your treble with
Hi Graham, 2/0 inline on a 28g and 3/0 on 40 and 60g. Check out Temu for a bargain.
Sea Trout......Will they not take a lure?still nice 👍didn't get name of rod...and weight looks nice

@northeastangling Ah nice to try the bombarda,I see angler piscator on you tube taking seatrout on bombarda👍
It's a very simple method John. Bit of a patient game but rewarding 🙌
To be honest, I don’t like it that you catch no mackerels and to be honest it is nice to be out 😂
@ceesbouma2776 I didn't like it either 🤣, but yes it's always nice to be out. The next session made up for it. Video out next week 😀. Thank you for taking the time to watch .
I normally see the dolphins passing when I fish from there. Sometimes it’s the only entertainment I've had. 😅
Hi Jim, Thank you for watching. I did not even see any dolphins 🤣. Lots of sea trout teasing me, though.
That's why they call it fishing dude hahaha (the metro center tho ......)...airfull ain't it haha
The worst. Too.....peopley..🤣
