I've been painting warhammer minis for a bit over 20 years so when I got into boardgames it was pretty natural for me to paint those too. I did my own wash on Ankh by spraying them with a clear matte varnish to keep the original plastic base colors. A run with some slightly thinned down contrast and a drybrush did wonders for them. I did not get sundrop on my Lords of Ragnarok since I plan on doing my own there as well. Doing a full on paint job can be really cool, but for game pieces it can often make the pieces difficult to identify at a glance, so doing this as you are is actually really useful for gameplay purposes.
Nice! Now this just gives good vibes man. Really want to make and test out some homemade diy washes. Specially, this sundrop paint I want to try and recreate it too. Both as a wash and as a paint kind of things. Cus I’ve never would’ve thought of this tope of thing if I hadn’t seen you video. I do have black, brown and green homemade washes. But I don’t have one like this one. Thanks for sharing ❤.
Ah cool. Even simpler then! And good point in the darker tone of going black primer then zenthial then contrast speed paint. I guess for the general result and effect, and efficacy, the contrast will be plenty good enough! Thanks for the video and your response!

What is your miniature holder?? Do you use putty to keep them in place? Or do they click onto that? Would love to know it
That is something called blue tac smooshy non permanent putty. People use it to hang posters when they can’t use thumb tacks.
