- Allis Chalmers W-45 tractors were among their most popular. And, maybe none were ever built with propane as the fuel source. But this one, owned by Ken Brehm of Ohio does have an LP tank and runs on propane. It's thought to be a VERY rarely seen conversion. No matter the fuel - Ken has the Fever for his Allis Chalmers tractors!

Thanks for another great video Brian.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
What a nice old Allis Chambers tractor. And set up on propane for fuel. Very nice setup. Nice restoration on this tractor. Fine gentleman that owns it.
Thanks Brian.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Had a neighbor that had a WD-45 dual fuel with wide axle. I'm not sure what happened to it. Probably in a fence row or junkyard.
LP burns cleaner. The fumes are not as bad. Propane prices are variable, just like gas. Good move to convert it to LP. Allis - Chalmers was a winner. Sorry to see it die too soon.😢😢
I believe the wd 45 was the big dog as far as smaller tractors go back in those days
i own 3 WD45s and one WD
Very nice machine. Great color
Great feature! I can't explain it, but those WD's had lugging power in its day that was pretty hard to match. Thanks for doing this!
My dad back in the late 50s had a Ford 8N and an Oliver 88 as well as a couple of 2 1/2 ton trucks that were converted to run on LP only, no gasoline. All of them were worked all the time and the oil never darkened.
Drove one of these when I was about 15 in 1961. It was diesel and had great power for its size. Hooked to a 6 foot Rome disk it would squat, belch smoke and pull that disk right along. Loved its sound under a good pull. Fuel tank sat right in front of the steering wheel so the diesel splatter could be easily swiped on my face, neck, ... to ward off mosquitoes. The ones that did land stuck.
Great video. I've a Farmall 300 propane I've saved.
My uncle ran LP in his John Deere G , 70 and 730
He's a good man that's the way I was raised up and I had to go to the city to work. But I was Ford blue & I.N.H. guy😮
gotta love propane😉
Used to farm with a WD 45 diesel. Great tractor. 👍👍
