👍 thanks for all your videos Jesse were headed down to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge for the first time August 29-31 hopefully our boat is big enough its a 17 'Sea Nymph ,take care Jesse 🎣🐟🐟.
Great video, Jesse, those were some huge sheeps, and that tog you caught was ginormous, all-in-all, I'd say that was a great day of fishing! Awaiting anxiously for your next video!
Happy to have you back on YT with great fishing content. Hope you and the family are doing well after what sounds like a tough few months. I'm definitely planning to book a trip this summer for Sheepies and sooo... looking forward to it. The last time out with you was EPIC !
I'm thinking about hitting 50 bridge on choptank river ... I don't have a boat anymore after dad passed but we used the hit the sounds out of crisfield Maryland I miss the flounder
When you go to the CBBT pylons do you have particular spots or do you just pull up to pylons n fish until you catch? Not asking your spot just curious about strategy.
At some point we gotta respect the fishery. These fish are 15 to 20 years old, and they can be fished out just like so many other species have been. There are only so many of them...
@@bkdt8ter670 rule of thumb never go shorter than full length of a rod you using, remember my dad yelled at me for rilling too short, raising four boys my self all of them love to fish and I did yelled at them for same reason 😂 now my youngest is 13 and he fish like a pro
Thanks! We use length for release citations, and weight is for keeper citations. I don't like keeping any Sheep over 24 inches, mainly because that fish is probably 15 years old. These fish have been hit hard over the last few years, and they can be fished out just like every other species has been. These monsters are the breeders and they are keeping the sport alive. They deserve to live. Plus the smaller younger ones are better eating anyway.
Nice work Capt
Thanks!
Good to see your video. They were some tasty looking Tog.
We had ours tonight and it was delicious
I bow to you Jesse, you are the Sheepshead King!
Lol! Thanks, hopefully I can expand on that lol
Awesome. Glad to see you back on TH-cam Beautiful fish !!!!!!!
Thanks! And it's great to be back out there!
I noted your comments about spot lock toward the end of the video. Does spot lock normally work when the bay is calmer.
Yes it works pretty good most of the time, it was really struggling with the huge rolling waves coming in from offshore this day.
awesome video Jesse, glad to see your back again, best wishes to you and your family
Thank you!

Hey man! I hope you had a good trip! I am behind on answering comments sorry
Love the video! Curious what you meant by those big sheepshead being "citations". Could you provide more info?
Any Sheep over 24 inches or 10 lbs in virginia is considered a trophy fish. You could apply and recieve a citation/trophy from the state for it.

Good to see ya on the water again 🤟🇺🇸〰️🦅
Thanks! And it's awesome to be back out there!
What size hook and what rigging
That is a beast of a Sheep. That fish would be the state record in both Florida and Georgia.
Dang! Maybe I should move! Lol!

Go for it bud! If it is salty and the water has tides Sheeps and Flounder should be there

I usually use sonar to help narrow down what pilings to fish.
Those are huge. We don’t get Sheepies like that in Texas
This area is truly blessed as a fishery! I am thankful to live near it!
Can’t wait. You ever hit wrecks for the sheepies?
Yeah I tried it a few times, too many snags. The pilings are almost snag free
No way I throw them sheep's that big back they all eat good

Always leave a more line at a tip of your rod young man left it too short that resulted in a broken tip of his rod
For real I was screaming release the bail the whole time lmao

I agree with all these replies. I should have been more pro-active in preventing this... I was caught up in the moment and missed it
Jesse really good to see you back on the water. Ever done any ribbon fishing in that area. Any good?
Thansk you! And yes they are plentyful. Not really my cup of tea but they are definitely here
Nice work Jesse good job 👍 🎣
Thanks!
Good work, Jesse. I'm going to start using bait this year. Later bud.
Thanks! Guaranteed you will always do better if you put bait your hook! Lol! Just kidding bud, as you know
WTG Jesse.... So are you using weights? why not keep those monsters?

First
Did the trip change everything because of how early you found them? Awesome day! We're headed to Eastern shore this weekend in the yaks!
Yes that is the meaning of the title
