Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. The shelves th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM8H4CjCb79vzeyvgaFMdzmLm88oVFPMkare pretty small so keep that in mind if you're going to have it horizontal that some books won't fit. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. Simple to put together, though you'll need your own tools, a screwdriver and a mallet/hammer, it's easiest to do with another person.
I am an old man now and my building days are largely behind me, other than keeping my guitars in playable condition. I watch many woodworkers, metal workers and other creators but the common denominator is that, beyond what they do they are all nice people whom I would enjoy meeting in real life. Also I like the music on the channel as it is fun to play along with. Cheers from Canada.
nice job, during the last 20 years I have made neon lights, we put 3 cleats per element because the glass is not necessarily flat, this avoids accidental breakage 😉
In addition to your imagination and your dexterity in making any type of creation, what I like about your videos is your pleased look when you realize that what you had in mind is about to take shape. You are a myth, keep it up, I always follow you. SL
This reminded me of a roll top desk, and how you glue a canvas on the underside, and that could work well in a Bathroom to put in a roll top door for a cabinet, deep for towels, Thanks for these images
I have seen quite a few of your videos and what I have come away with is your not just a wood worker or builder , but you are a artist your canvas is what you have around you your brush is a tool . What you make is cool practical creative just like art should be . Thank you for being inspirational
Would you ever consider making videos about "routers 101" or "making router templates"? I know there are lots of these kinds of tutorials already, but for those of us who appreciate your education + video style -- this would be really useful and enjoyable :)
Saw your series on Meet the Makers, wish we could have met, but I love what you did with the slabs. Back in 2007 I bough a sawmill and made lots of thick slab. Thanks
That was a great built! It's refreshing to see you using a template and router bits. I don't know why every youtuber assumes that we have a cnc machine to make the shapes. ( with the exception of Chris Salomone) I suggest you get a spiral cut flush router bit to replace the straight cut you have. It a hell of a difference. Cheers
Love the style of these videos. You have definitely inspired me to get some projects done around the home and perhaps even film them. Keep up the great work. Big love from Australia!
This looks so cool! Love the holes in the sides to "add lightness", the kerf-bent top, and the neon on aluminum is the perfect finishing touch. Thanks for sharing!
Let Glue Dry. Elegant furniture lovely solution. The only solution I can think of for solid wood is tambourine whereby pieces of wood are glued into fabric. Your way is best. Birdy
Sundays I so look forward to your next creative solution. This did not disappoint. Did you use a kerf calculator to figure out the placement or just figure that out on your own? The radii seem perfect! The lighting is off the hook cool (and recycled) as well.
7:30 advice for next time, cut all the extra PU glue +/-2h after pouring It, It's still flexible, way much easier to remove. Nice job overall, I love the "lamp touch" :)
Thank you so much for your videos each week. Love the project as much as the last and the one before that and actually all of them ;) Whenever I watch your videos, I can't help myself but rewatch older ones too while I'm here haha
Art Nouveau furniture is beautiful, organic, and looks so comfortable. You need a nice armchair/stool combination for yourself, don't you thnk so? And, insulate the roller door... I feel you look cold! Take care Laura!
Great music, Laura. Oh, and what a bookcase. That curve-thing design is wicked. Good for you to use a new design element for the first time today. You are a pleasure to watch while living your perfect dream life. Thank you. Blessings. *:D.

I knew you tubers could make money, but a whole sheet of plywood?! And she burned the off cuts. The extravagance! Kidding. Beautiful work as always.

Wieder eine tolle Arbeit 👍🏻
She looks so happy when things come together. That is what making things should be about. The joy of creating something!
Somehow, I love the "let glue dry" sign... It works at so many levels.
I laugh every time she uses glue on anything because I ALWAYS think ....let glue dry. 🤣🤣
I think of that Let Glue Dry brick every time I have to wait for glue on my own projects!
What other level does "let glue dry" work in except letting glue dry?
@@EmilSiapnoChannel wait for it...
Great Festool advert
I love that you chose to send those scraps right into the flames heating the space 🥰🥰
The precision she makes stuff with is so satisfying
It's the German in her
@@Belioyt No, it's looks like she has only a rough concept (and that's not german ;-). She is just that good.
Precision?

Very good point! Thanks for letting me know!

Love that the shelves are designed to fit a McMaster catalogue perfectly. Priorities!
Is it wrong that I've stopped myself several times from building a custom alcove directly across from the toilet for my McMaster catalog? Bad idea?
@@nathanfell8993 seems like the perfect spot for a good read to me!
Laura, As always I'm in awe. Your template has helped me solve a design problem for my van build. Thank you!
That is great to here! Have fun with you can build

A beautiful book shelf. Never tried saw kerf bending, but will now. Yet another Super professional video, thank you.
Wauw.......i like it a lot.
Now you need a book on forklifts.
Definitely E for effort! Cool project, Laura! Thanks for sharing!
The design is out of this world...
7:53 that's a beautiful shot, see the shadows criss-crossing? Already looking great and were just at wood-filler :)

The McMaster-Carr catalogue is the best book on the shelf. One of my best friends works there.
Love your wood block transitions.
Wow! I never would have guessed that a plywood bookshelf could be sublime. Beautiful build and video as usual.

Another wonderful build, and a great ‘first’. You are fearless!
I LOVE the shape of the shelving, another belter, thanks
That bookshelf is absolutely stunning !!!!!
I'm definitely stealing the idea of automotive body filler for edges of plywood. That's a nice extra touch.
Les arrondis sont parfaits,et la bibliothèque est très belle, bravo à bientôt salut Jeannot 🛠😉
Very cool! I was so stressed hoping it would not break when you were assembling the two sides.
I Love your design for the Bookshelf, Everything I see that you built, I think was Great !!
Nice work - long live neon and your acknowledgement of it
Wow when the two edges meet perfectly BOOM !
I'm very happy that Festool is supporting you. It should have happened long ago. You use those tools to create amazing stuff, video after video.
Love the style of these videos. You have definitely inspired me to get some projects done around the home and perhaps even film them. Keep up the great work. Big love from Australia!
It is so amazing to me that you manage to make plywood beautiful.

Never seen before tricks and design. Thanks for posting the awesome work
excellent video Laura, some of your best design work yet
Its a pleasure to see your videos!! 👏👏👏
It's not only the impeccable carpentry of her work....it's the design!😊🐝❤
What a nice piece of craftsmanship!
That was stunningly beautifull 😍😍😍
Awesome film. Bookcase is so cool. Always original and inspiring work. Mahalo for sharing!🙂🐒
Fantastic work as always Miss Laura.

I made a test piece and figured it out. I learnt that it doesn‘t have to be 100 percent perfect. Kerfs are more forgiving than they appear
whole new interpretation of e-books 😉
Brave to cut the notches for bending after cutting all the holes in the piece. But it worked, so how am I to judge.
Great piece!
Nicely built Laura 👍
Awesome build - you continue to amaze.
This looks siiiiiick Laura! Great job!
Wow!!! Impressive, as always.

Nice job overall, I love the "lamp touch" :)
The satin finish on the aluminium looks so good with the ply and neon!
WoW beautiful job again Laura
Beautiful job Laura well done
Awesome! Cant even imagine how did u manage to calculate all things to come together :)
I didn‘t :)
Nice build, but has anyone here notices how she has such an intelligent gaze? And very sweet smile
I had to smile, when I saw that familiar yellow book of engineering.
The design is lovely, and the neon is amazing
Excellent craftsmanship!
Damn that is a cool bookshelf!
Every Sunday morning there's a new surprise! Love your amazing build ideas but also the way you show them on your videos!
I don't know if I am more awed by the enthusiasm and hands-on approach to your projects or by the inhuman precision that you achieve! Awesome!
I absolutely love this!! Fantastic job!
Such a satisfying build!
To celebrate the completion of each project, it would be great to hear that perfect bottlecap “pop” as an easter egg
One of your best pieces!! The kerf bending was a beautiful addition.
Great project and video. Music is on point. Thanks for sharing. Work safe.
That is a really nice “e” Reader you have built there 😁
Beautifully made!
Dropping plywood from the sky!
Muy bueno! Felicitaciones!

So cool, great complement to that wonderful "e".
Wow that was quite an assembly
Great project, it reminds me of the record player cabinet you made last year.

Well done Laura on creating something really useful and also for saving that letter E neon bulb 💡 and using it in such a practical way.
Nice work! - Brilliant!
That glue up looked a bit stressful. Everything turned out awesome though!
Also, nice McMaster catalog!
I could watch you create all day long!
That thing is awesome!
This is an outstanding design. The neon light really sets it apart!
Just found your channel. I think your awesome and your projects are absolutely beautiful.
