The area needs 5 items ASAP.... 1. Pedestrian sidewalks. 2 Proper drainage 3. Markets for hawkers 4. Matatus / Bodabodas Regulation.
    5. Garbage collection & cleaning of streets. The area may transform to a high rise buildings slum if order is not restored.

Also just a few months ago there were limits on how high one could build a building because of the eastleigh base. But ruto removed that stipulation and said they can build as tall as they want.

I walked through this area a few days ago. It was around where Rage and Arafat towers are and even went inside some of these buildings. They were a lot nicer than I expected them to be. Whoever is building these towers is actually doing a decent job in terms of construction. They all have modem lifts and they took great concern for the residents in terms of safety. The biggest problem though is open sewer right outside of these buildings. I am still thinking about buying 1-2, if possible, bedroom units and renting them. They are in high demand because you can do all your shopping a 2-3 minute walk away.

I was once shot multiple times and in an American hospital. One of the nurses aides was kenyan and she took care of me like her son during my 3 months there. Till this day we are in contact and take food to her and meet her on her break atleast once a week. When you live abroad you realize what the average East Africaner doesn’t realize back home: ethiopians, somalis and kenyans literally have the same cultures and keenship on hospitality just different religions.

I am still amazed by how or whether the county government has any plans to upgrade the infrastructure in Eastleigh including roads, drainage, sewer/water lines, walking paths and parking. Even either requiring buildings parking garages or just have more parking areas a little outside the busy areas of Eastleigh.. It just doesn't make any sense. Somali business man can come together and lobby for these types of developments.
