So many of us renovating homes can't do everything at once, so it's helpful to know how to live through the process and how to plan for the next phase.
Really liking how this turned out! I know you’re in need of lots of storage in this room. It still seems like it has maybe one too many pieces of furniture. You’re so great about using thrifted/gifted furniture. Maybe finding a piece you can use to replace the dresser adjacent to the fireplace + the set of drawers next to the fireplace? Perhaps one tall large storage cabinet next to the fireplace and move the desk more centered on the wall? Or if possible downsize craft stuff to be only in the set of drawers and ditch the dresser? Like I said, you’ve come a long way with making that room feel spacious and clean, but I still think eliminating one piece of furniture would help.
Love the end result, I love the shelf above the sofa, it ties the rest of the room together, and the new wall color makes that grey sofa a lot better looking, I like the color purple and any paint with a purple hew to it just makes me happy. Thanks Hermione for sharing this was a lot of fun to watch, you always inspire me to get busy and complete a task I have been putting off.

Try trading the plant stand and the lamp with the little cabinet on each ends of the sofa.. It would give you more room to walk in the doorway. And I think the height of the plant would look really good in the corner. I love your style and pink is my fav!!!!!

Oooh that’s so exciting 😀 I made the decision to save at the same time. I had to move back home for 3 years to save the deposit, it’s hard work but worth it. Buy a terrible house but make sure it’s in a good neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is the most important part! Think about how big a project you want to take on, are you happy to tackle a full renovation or would you rather work on surface details (like painting and tiles) because this house was a big surprise to me 😂 lots of hard work but so worth every second. I hope your house search goes well. Good luck 💕
