Okay but hear me out; boiled dumplings in the potato ramen from the ramen video is pretty solid. Trust me, I ate it last night and it was pretty solid. Peak food to prep my soul for finals week. Also man that kimchi bacon one looks good.
My favourite way to use frozen dumplings is while cooking any soup-based ramen (usually Shin Ramyun) I just throw 3-4 of them in during the last minute or two of cooking. Really elevates the experience by making you feel fuller (with the same cooking duration) and great dumpling soup at the end. 10/10 would recommend
About 9:55, we have a dish called momos here in India, which is basically dumplings but smaller and usually different fillings, and we go crazy with the combinations for it, so I'm sure butter chicken momos exist somewhere, but it's not common, usual combos go chicken/ paneer (cottage cheese) varients of boiled/steamed/fried/deep fried ones, we have other sauces to pair with it too :)
Great video. My go-to dipping sauce is 1TB soy sauce, 1TB rice wine vinegar, 1 tspn brown sugar, 1/2 tspn minced ginger with optional chilli and/or a few drops sesame oil.

Great looking dumplings, I followed your ways of radioactive food but made rice and fried chicken with it, if I don't suffer it is a good result for curious people what I did is this : Rice: 2 bullion(chicken and meat), 2 cups of water, 1 cup of rice, some spices(use your preferred), let them simmer for 20min Chicken : Take a pan and add 2 to 3 tbsp of butter, after it is bubbly yeet the frozen fried chicken in and move them around time to time until some parts are black(just to make sure it is cooked well) add some spices during this, like garlic powder etc. and dont throw the butter away, it will be a sauce Final part, cut the chicken to bite sized pieces and throw it into the rice, add the spiced up butter, add some lemon juice for fresh taste, barbecue sauce if you are weird like me and mix them together. Then eat

You can absolute pan fry "steam dumpling", just add more oil to the pan or brush oil over it. The "fry dumpling" simply contains more fat in the dough to brown more easily.

I actually make Curry Dumpling quite a few times and like it so for a justice of this menu I going to teach how I doing it cause FutureCanoe doing quite a bit weird way (I know he learn from chinese social, not actually his way of doing it) then again it actually curry for this one, not a quick way Any first ingredient aside of Dumpling, Curry paste, potato 1. Apple 2.Ginger 3.Onion 4.Curry powder (if you can find it) Prepare: Soak potato into water (it to remove harshness) Peel then grating Apple (I use 1/4 of 1 apple) and 1tsp of ginger Cut Onion and celery into small Steaming Dumpling cause you going to put it in pot How to cook: 1. put cook onion into brown color, make sure it not burn 2. put grated apple and ginger then sauté them in middle heat until most of water evaporated 3. Put water and potato, (don't put too much water cause you want to make curry sauce, it harder to do if water too much) once it boil simmer it for at least 15 minutes in low heat Noted: Usually you should put curry powder before water but since I can't never find that anywhere I decide to put small chunk of curry paste when doing simmer with potato instead. What you look for is a Sauce so make sure it doesn't too liquid. Potato is the most help in this that why you simmer it with potato. (If it still too liquid that take some water out, I fix it that way) 4. After it become curry sauce, stop the heat then put 2 block of curry paste into it then simmer until it all melted (the reason for stop heat is because curry paste it melt quicker that way) 5, there you have curry now, you just need to put rice on plate dumpling on a side then put curry all over dumpling and eat with rice. The end.

If that non stick pan is teflon, you might not want to use it for sauces with tomatoes or anything acidic like the ketchup or soy sauce you just used in the video, as it will damage it and things will start to stick. I noticed that this was the case with my pans, and since then, I keep a non-stick strictly for eggs and other stuff that requires a good non stick surface and it's still brand new after almost a year of almost daily usage.
High heat wrecks the coating quickly as well! And makes it carcinogenic 😬 It's crazy that these pans don't even come with a label admitting its very limited usage to be safe and last more than a few months. I grew up with non stick, I just assumed pans are only good for a little while and then they suck for 2ish years until they start flaking, then you get a new one 🤡 getting a carbon steel pan as an adult blew my mind lol, it's so reliably amazing. It can take scalding heat, it's just as nonstick as Teflon when seasoned, it'll last a lifetime and won't make you sick. You can wreck its seasoning and then restore it infinitely, and it's good as new - someone put mine in the dishwasher, it looked like it was fished out of a lake all rusted and sad, I fixed it in 30 minutes. The only downside is it just takes a few minutes extra care when you're done cooking. It's crazy how a whole generation gave up all the functionality of traditional cookware for a few minutes of convenience.

my go to Asian sauce is mirin soy garlic ginger siracha oyster seasoned rice wine vinegar for dumplings i add the pre mixed sauce to the dumplings in the pan and sauté until the sauce thickens at the end once i turn the heat OFF i add a touch of toasted sesame oil ingredients are in order from greatest amount to least amount but taste it as you go n make it the way you like it.

It can take scalding heat, it's just as nonstick as Teflon when seasoned, it'll last a lifetime and won't make you sick. You can wreck its seasoning and then restore it infinitely, and it's good as new - someone put mine in the dishwasher, it looked like it was fished out of a lake all rusted and sad, I fixed it in 30 minutes.
The only downside is it just takes a few minutes extra care when you're done cooking. It's crazy how a whole generation gave up all the functionality of traditional cookware for a few minutes of convenience.

@@kobralazer for stainless steel pans, try the mercury ball test! i use it for eggs and it never sticks
@@MildExplosion It's fine as long as your pan is below 450F and you don't heat it dry. Adding meat also lowers the temperature quite a bit.

for dumplings i add the pre mixed sauce to the dumplings in the pan and sauté until the sauce thickens at the end once i turn the heat OFF i add a touch of toasted sesame oil
ingredients are in order from greatest amount to least amount but taste it as you go n make it the way you like it.
