I've always heard it like someone is saying it like "Wash-it-ah" Water is scarce later in the first section...I always stash near where the "scenic drive" gets close to the trail.
Nadia Stewart I only hiked the first section so we carried all our supplies. There are various points where the trail crosses the road and we saw resupplies left in the woods.
