    As a chiefs fan, if we lost mahomes and could pick any qb to replace him, i would want Allen or Burrow.
    The last weeks of the season the majority sentiment of chiefs fans was, just keep the Bills out of the playoffs. They were the team feared the most. As long as the Bills have Allen, they will be a team to be reckoned with. 25 other teams would kill to have him as their qb. The chiefs suffered decades with a carousel of average qbs. The Bills should appreciate like we do , that we each have our guy.

      100% agreed, at no point would a one score playoff loss make me lose faith in any of the 3 of them, especially against one another. As a Bills fan, yes, losing sucks, but I have zero worries at QB for next season, especially when I think of Tua, Dak, Hurts, Rodgers...I'm grateful. Nothing but respect(and, ok, a little bit of hatred) for Mahomes and KC.

      As a chiefs fan same here. That td throw by Allen to the front pylon is a throw that I've only seen allen and mahomes not only have the sack to throw it but have the ability to throw it and not just throw it but make it look easy. Didn't turn his hips or shoulders just flicked his arm throw and absolute laser to the only spot he could throw it on a cb who had not given up a td all season.

      The context of this thread is Rich Eisen is attributing the loss to Josh Allen trying to do too much. This was true in previous games this season but not in this game. Actually seems like the game plan was to have Josh play more conservatively to eliminate turns overs. The key difference wasn't the QB play but the receivers for the Bills dropped key deep passes that the Chief didn't.
      Josh did short arm a throw to the end zone.But this is attributed Chris Jones pushing an o-line into Josh so he couldn't step into the throw. But that still doesn't support Rich's opinion Josh tried to do to much. @@173jaSon371

Keep doing what you were doing, or give Allen more than 1 drive to try and air things out like that. 0 throws on 2nd and short and as soon as we get just into field goal range to tie it we’re taking shots in the end zone. Makes no sense

    • @retrocny5625
      @retrocny5625 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It makes perfect sense, because tying the game with a FG was the last resort. They HAD to put up 7 points. The defense had no answers for the Chiefs. They were scoring at will. They were getting explosive plays on every drive because we had practice squad guys playing on defense. I mean, they attempted a fake punt in their own redzone because they had no confidence in the defense to generate a stop and keep them in the game.
      Even if Tyler Bass makes the field goal, Patrick Mahomes would've been left with almost two minutes of clock and 2 timeouts. At the bare minimum, they were getting Butker into field goal range to hit a walk off FG and break Buffalo's heart that way. They had to score a touchdown and force KC to go the length of the field and score in the redzone again. It was the only thing Buffalo could do. The shot to Shakir was open, it was a designed play, the pass just got disrupted and Josh needed a split second longer of protection.
      Truthfully, I would've much rather they just went for it on 4th down. Live and die with your best player out on the field. With the time left remaining in the game, don't put it in the hands of a kicker whose been terrible from the right hash all year long. Who knows, maybe Josh makes something happen on 4th and 9.

If he was on the chiefs this season they would have won all those close games so why isn’t he enough for Allen….thats what we are saying. Diggs wants to win. I believe his decline is just mental. If he goes to KC he’d light up the league….if they cost the same then I’d rather have tyreek but if Diggs is cheaper then I’d rather have him….tyreek dropped some key passes for the dolphins also….but tyreek is 100% unnecessary in KC.

    Allen needs more help? Respectfully, Steve Young is way off base. Allen didn't need to go superman here, he just needed to play it out. The deal is Buffalo panicked and tried the fake punt. They panicked after Hardman gifted them the ball back. A TD on that drive ends the game, but he fumbled through the endzone.
    Allen has had all the help early in his career. He had a really good defense in his rookie window. He had the elite WR and top tier TE. His line has been above average. They gave him everything. Now that he's off the rookie deal, he's going to have to do more with less around him. If you can't do more with less after your rookie deal, you need to take less money to build the team around you.
    The Bills were running a great game plan. Scored on 4 of 5 possessions and were down 27-24 because KC scored on 5 of 5. They got scared that a long drive leaves Mahomes with 4-5 minutes to get the game winning score so they tried scoring quicker and they got burned.
    PS. If KC falls on the fumble rather than the scoop and score, the game is basically over at that point.

    • @TB-jt5dp
      @TB-jt5dp 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Young was talking about Allen needing help in the past years. This year was different as they developed a true running game.
      The fake punt was an automatic call due to KC not having but 9 or 10 players on the field. It wasn't panic, simply an automatic call due to the numbers.
      Allen had no running game behind him throughout his rookie contract. He had to play superman and be the running game and the passing game. The o'line through most of his career thus far has been sub-average, mostly due to the right side of the line being terrible. It has improved through the years. The look of the o'line may have benefited simply due to Allen being able to escape and take off without getting sacked,
      What hurt the Bills the most was KC adjusting and making it harder to run the ball in the 2nd half. The Bills had no answer.

    • @Dannycuddy

      Perfectly said. Bills had so many lucky bounces go their way and still lost. 3 fumbles, 0 lost. KC goal line fumble. Allen’s near pick-6. Guy running wide open in the end zone on the final drive Allen missed. Bills had so many opportunities and seized none of them.

    • @retrocny5625
      @retrocny5625 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A lot of bad takes about the Bills in the comment section. Steve Young is right, the Bills do need more offensive weapons whose name isn't Diggs. They don't have a true #2 WR and their #1 receiver has had issues all year and is damn near 30 years old. They do have a better run game now but when that goes away as it did, they don't have any real playmakers out there who can create separation, who are physical and can go up for 50/50 balls. That's the difference. They don't have a Kelce. They don't have a Jamar Chase. This is so obvious on tape and I'm the sort of guy who watches all-22 film after every game.
      The offense has been stagnant for weeks. They started winning again, but they did so in spite of their offensive stagnation. Josh Allen's ability to be a dual threat runner saves them in so many situations but at some point, he needs playmakers to make plays. He needs a guy like Stefon Diggs to catch that 75 yard bomb that landed in his hands. Or Cook to not drop yet another TD pass. This offense hasn't been the same since Brian Daboll left. Watch the film and you'll see that very rarely do the receivers they have naturally win on their routes. Especially intermediate and deeper routes down field. Guys aren't being schemed open. Most of Buffalo's big plays are from off-schedule plays created by Josh Allen's ability to extend.
      The Bills lost this game for one reason and one reason only. The defense. Their inability to generate stops and QB pressure. They forced 1 punt in the entire game. They were allowing 10 yards per play on average. Patrick Mahomes never had a possession longer than 4 minutes, they were driving 75 yards down the field in 5 or 6 plays, with explosive plays and blown coverage assignments on every drive. How else do you lose a game when you win the time of possession battle by nearly 15 minutes? The Bills ran almost 30 more plays I think than the Chiefs did. We're having a very different conversation right now if Buffalo's defense was able to generate a stop while they had the lead. Could've very easily became a two possession game.
      At some point, regardless of how good your QB is, you have to have help from the other side of the ball. Sean McDermott and his defense has NEVER been able to generate stops against Andy Reid's offense. In their 3 playoff meetings, the Chiefs have punted a grand total of 4 times. F O U R. That's why this iteration of the Buffalo Bills loses against the Chiefs. Josh Allen is the reason the Bills have been in these games to begin with.
      PS: The throw to Shakir in the endzone was wipe open, and the throw was disrupted by Chris Jones pushing Dion Dawkins into Allen as he released the ball. Pays to actually watch the games.

      @andrewkelly1337 That's the entire point. Mahomes' greatness is clearly on a different level than these other guys, and Im tired of people comparing him to people beneath him. When comparing Mahomes, there's only Brady, and every year, Mahomes makes huge leaps at toping the legacy of Tom Brady. As for Allen and Burrow, they are great qbs, but they just happen to be in the same Era as Mahomes and can never be in the GOAT conversation.

    Wow! Such a hard analysis to watch. Last 5 Super Bowl Champion QB's: Tom Brady X 2, Pat Mahomes X 2, and Matthew Stafford. 2 of those guys are pure pocket passers while Mahomes is a pocket QB who can and does run when has to. The guys who have designed plays for running have ZERO Super Bowl wins. In fact, Buffalo and Baltimore have great players up and down their offense but their QB's often try to do everything which is why they always come up short. Teams win in the NFL not individual players. Wonder why Allen's numbers fall off a cliff in the 4th quarter compared to the 1st 3 quarters? He is a great player but the coaching in Buffalo sucks. Got to manage the whole game, use all of your weapons and have your best player fresh when it comes to game winning time. It is poor offensive design. The NFL isn't the NBA where 1 guy can make up for a mediocre roster. Hell, even they strictly manage their minutes and give guys games off trying to keep their best players fresh.
