I just found your comment at Adrian and Carol's channel. Once the word gets out I'm sure that a lot of former viewers will be joining you to see the continuation of the great work they did on Chateau de la Ferte. I'm sure you will put your own stamp on the restoration. You are welcoming us and we welcome you! Good luck.
You have started behind the 8 ball for those of us coming from Carol and Adrien because you refused many of their renovations (especially the chandeliers). As a fellow American I am giving you a chance. Good luck.

So glad you're going to be on TH-cam, and that I can continue to follow the restoration of this Chateau. Referred by Adrian and Carol. Wishing y'all the best of luck.
Hi, I am coming from old Chateau channel. It makes me glad that renovation continues. In YT there is nice community of chateau owners in Francewho help and visit eachothers, share tips and antiques. Previous owners knew some of them, I hope you two will find lot of friends among them too..... bc more is merrier :D
I can't wait to see what you do with La Ferte. It has so many rooms left to renovate that have not been touched or are partly done, but it is liveable and has some finished rooms to be able get away from the renovations. I wish you great success and will be watching. Carole and Adrian may have left a little blood behind, but you won't fall through the floor 😂
Gustavo will get used to being filmed, alot of follwers from Carole, Beth and Adrian were pretty invested in watching the renovations of Chateau Le Ferte .. hopefully now we can continue to see what becomes of this gorgeous Chateau. All the best on your journey, and i hope people remember it no longer belongs to Carole,Adrian, and Beth and that they give you time to settle in and show us what youre plans are for the Chateau 😊.
Sent here by Adrian. I'm excited to watch your creativity with the Chateau. Hopefully, the two of you will teach the rest of us a few renovating tricks that we can apply in our homes. Welcome to the TH-cam Chateau renovating community.
Thank you Gustavo and Reni for allowing us to see the continuing life of La Ferte. Looking forward to seeing how you progress with a different point of view. Especially excited to see the coach house come to life!! Adrian will be so jealous as he said this is his favourite part as you may know! Welcome to the chateau, I love what Carol and Adrian have done, I look forward to seeing what you will be doing. Adrian and Carol sent me to your channel. I’ve been watching them for years. They are two of the hardest and talented workers you will fine.
First time here under your new ownership. I’m excited to see the projects you tackle. May I make a suggestion. Create a clean restored space for a bedroom. This is your place to restore yourselves from your hard work, blood, sweat and tears. And for those times when your ill. It’s very important to have one space you both can relax in, free of tools, paint, dust, etc. May God bless you both and your new home.
I'm so excited to see the continuation of the restoration. I was saddened thinking I wouldn't be able to see the final touches. Carol and Adrian have worked so hard. You're going to be the perfect custodians. Looking forward to seeing more.
You should put Chateau de la Ferte in the title so people can see the next stages of this beautiful building. I just hope you won’t turn it into modern mid century interiors like so many of the architects in France seems to do. Don’t know why they buy historical buildings then they turn the interior into Dwell’s magazine showpiece. Anyway, looking forward to what happens next with this building.

This is so exciting as I was a Chateau de la Ferte subscriber and was so sad when they sold the Chateau. Good luck with this adventure and I’m glad to be taken along on your journey 🥰🥰
It took 16 years but we can finally see Gustavo talking about his life in social media!! That's a bigger achievement than the Castle renovation!😂😂😂 Congratulations Reni!! We haven't met but i'm already a fan.

Great to hear from Adrian & Carole that you’ve taken up the reigns where they left off I must say you seem an ideal couple in every way to take on this challenge. I’ll be most interested to see what you do. Good Luck! John in Monmouth 🏴
It's nice to have another chateau couple posting videos. Some of us MAY be addicted... I, however, am NOT! My interest is purely academic. As a certified cabinetmaker, kitchen designer, and architectural draftsman who restored houses for a living, I'll be very interested in how things are going. Thanks for sharing your work with the world.
How exciting! So happy that you have taken on this challenge and it will be amazing! I've watched Carol and Adrian's journey with Chateau de la Ferte so this will just be more good stuff! I just returned from 3 weeks in France and closing on a 1750's stone barn that we will convert into a home! Not as grand as a chateau but big enough for me! Cheers!
As a loyal follower of Adrian, Carole, and Beth at Chateau de la Ferte I am excited that you are sharing the next chapter in the life of this grand country home.
Yay another chateau vlog. FYI, I looked up the difference between Chateau and Castle (even tho chateau translates to castle) I think the real difference is that a castle was built as a defensive building and a "palace" was an official residence of some "exalted" person (bishop, sovereign, etc) I think of a chateau more as a manner house, mansion, or palace (depending on size, I guess). Anyway, another Yank here looking forward to watching your new home grow. Good luck with your channel.
I am sure these two new home owners appreciate the remedial work that has been put into this lovely chateau. But at the same time they are free to put their own stamp on it, make it their own and not feel that they have to live in someone else's dream. I look forward to what they will do with it, changes they make and restorations they embark on.
So excited to be allowed to follow the story of Chateau de la Ferte. I have been there since Adrian and Carole started the renovation. I wish you all the best for this coming chapter.
Heard you were doing this on Adrian and Carole's channel. I would love to see your Chateau finished. They got quite a bit done, but there is so much more to do. Congratulations on such a beautiful place.
Welcome to Chateau de la Ferte. I have followed Adrian and Carole for I think three years. They just sent me here. Adrian and Carole have done marvelous work to try and stabilize the Chateau. I will be interested in seeing what your ideas are. So I am very familiar with the house.
Just amazing! really inspirational, we’ve bought an ancient French village that has been sat abandoned for 30 years in the heart of Normandy, gaining inspiration from your vlogs and hoping ours will inspire people too. Thanks so much 🙏🏼🥳🥰 Y + P Ps..and you’re just up the road from us..how wonderful🙏🏼🥳🥰
I was just listening to your renovate introduction! When did you live in Williamsburg, Virginia! I am 79 years old. I was born and raised here born in 1945! In the old Hospital that no longer exist. I moved away from Williamsburg in 1964 to go to college and then move to Washington DC during my professional working career moved back to Leesburg in 1996 to care for my dad briefly moved to Charlotte North Carolina in 2000 to 2007 then returned to Williamsburg and have been here ever since to take care of my elderly mother who passed away in 2014. I live in a house that was left to me, our neighbor so that I would come home and take care of my mother! So I live next to my family home in a quiet neighborhood in Williamsburg! Like you, I love the history and the quality of the buildings! So I love this country because of the history! Unlike you because I only lived in one house growing up I wanted to live in a lot of different places so I physically moved over 28 times always living in a brand new property! When I change jobs if I didn’t wanna travel in the traffic I would move so that I didn’t have to deal with that! I was young and single and we just sell all my vans and buy new ones for the new property. It was always. And they all lived a very well constructed house small but very well built colonial, like Williamsburg with a fireplace that literally is built to heat the whole house if necessary! Everything is colonial features which I love beautiful hardwood floors. I have a very large piece of Williamsburg so I enjoy walking in my garden. The one thing I loved about growing up in Williamsburg was the quality of the buildings and the furnishings! When I lived in DC, I was married for a short period of time and we bought a house that was colonial and I wanted beautiful furnishings like Williamsburg but at the time could not afford it! It ended up my husband worked as an auditor and was auditing the property in DC and they had just opened and model apartments that they were getting rid of the furnishings and they gave my husband and I a beautiful collection of colonial Williamsburg type furnishings for our living room and dining area and they gave it to us free so I ended up having the very best without spending a dime! So I’m looking forward to see the two of you with the château. I was following the previous owners and they were doing a beautiful job so I look forward to seeing what your ideas are. Best wishes I know it’s going to be a lot of work and hopefully the two of you will enjoy it. I’m sure I will enjoy watching.
I lived there from when I was about 11-18. One of my best girlfriends lived in Benjamin Franklin's house and we would often spend our free nights with friends walking around 'CW' as we called it, just chatting and being teenagers. I loved the buildings and history but also one of my favorite things was the Christmas wreath competitions! The beautiful, all-natural & handmade wreaths really proved that you didn't need glitter and plastic to make beautiful decorations. This is the type of thing we can learn from the past - how to do more with less, how to make things that last like you mentioned, and how to care for things and then pass them down to future generations. It's something we really hope to explore here at the chateau. Thank you again for your comment.
Congrats and good luck to you both, I look forward to following you new journey, and I’m happy that us,that have followed Carole and Adrian, can continue to follow the chateau “part two” renovation with you guys, greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰

Thanks so much 🙏🏼🥳🥰 Y + P
Ps..and you’re just up the road from us..how wonderful🙏🏼🥳🥰
I’m glad you are continuing the work of Carole and Adrian. It is an amazing property. The garden alone is incredible
It surely is, we love being outside. It will need as much love and care as the château itself!
