This was the song that made it all click for me. I made the mistake of just putting Turn Off the Lights on in the background when I first checked out Julien and it was kinda like "yeah, I get why people like her, but it's just not for me." For 2 decades, my go to blackout-drunk playlist has consisted of only Elliot Smith songs. Until 2021. Thanks for freshening it up Julien. God help me no longer need a blackout-drunk playlist.

Absolutely killer drums on this performance by Matthew Gene Gilliam. That "i-and-a" into the "false" ending is spot on. Parts by Julien Baker, who I believed played the drums on the album version.
