    I just started playing and i can say its not perfect but its definetly a solid game even without the dlc. I do like how u can contenu to refine upgrades even after unlocking everything so in theiory u could essentialy make a titan level battleship that alone has 700k power

    Been playing this game since 2017. To me the most disappointing thing is how much the new planet and pop system slowed down the end game when we switched from tiles to districts and building slots. Took me a year to get over it and learn the new district system. After I did I loved it and got back in to the game but the late game runs like garbage. I used to play with mods using a 10,000 star galaxy and the game usually ran pretty good even in to the late game. These days even a 1,000 star galaxy starts lagging in the late game just before the Crisis spawns. All seems to depend upon the population of the galaxy because the game has to process the all the stats and output of every one of those pops throughout the galaxy. Every one is a calculation. Seems like they went from a 1000 star galaxy having 1500 to 3500 pops in late game to my empire alone having 4,000 to 7,000 pops and I only control 1/4 of the galaxy. At that point everything starts to stutter and crawl when I un-pause the game. Also we lost all that beautiful tile art that added flavor to every planet so that we didn't focus so much on the repetitive planet textures.

    atleast it ain't 500 dollars worth of dlc like EU4, (in canada) F.R:its only 286.14$ for all stellaris dlcs, with a 10% discount (give or take) on both! (This is still ridiculous paradox like wtf. I have to pay 24$ to have flavor!)like asking for a burger for $5 then they give u beef without the bun then u have to pay $10 for the bun and then $9 for the cheese and spices!

    There is no DLC, the game is simply being sold multiple times to you in parts.

    • @little_lord_tam
      @little_lord_tam ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats not the deal here luckily. The whole game got updated for free since it released. Only additional content coming over the years actually costs money which makes total sense for a niche game. Over the years however the DLC full Stellaris basically became the "game", while it actually is just a game having DLC's in the most traditional way.

    • @PeterRudesindus
      @PeterRudesindus ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@little_lord_tam All those "additional parts" is just the base game which only recently came out of beta testing. At least that is how it feels. It is fun to play but it also isn't crazy good.

    • @PeterRudesindus
      @PeterRudesindus ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@little_lord_tam Real DLCs are massive and real extensions to a game. Stellaris isn't even good or big enough of a game to deserve a DLC.

    • @little_lord_tam
      @little_lord_tam ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PeterRudesindus I understand your point. Stellaris isnt that big of a game, however neither is Paradox. Strategy is very niche, perhaps thats why my expectations are lower regarding the sheer volume of additions and content. I love how close Paradox stays to its player base and how they also introduce base game changes. I personally weight the good about their business modell stronger than the negative, but I admittedly See your side as understandable. I gues just a different perspektive for the same

    • @PeterRudesindus
      @PeterRudesindus ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@little_lord_tam Here is a perspective: No Man's sky was made by maybe 3-10 people and announced as game of the year multiple times and a ton a of people still play it to this day. They do updates constantly and not just useless stuff like adding pictures for different races you can select from which you have then to pay for. Another great game called Hades, also made by just a few people and very successful. Undertale a game made by a single person I think? massively successful. Stellaris on the other hand didn't even run properly for most of its live. The same goes for StarCitizen a game people have crowd funded over half a BILLION $ and 10 years later the game is still in "Alpha". There is no excuse for failure. No amount of money or people will create a good game.
