A buddy of mine had a spoon pipe designed for dabbing. It was a decent sized chamber with a hole in the bottom that fit one of the old school glass nails that actually looked like a nail. You set the pipe down and it pushed the nail head up high enough to heat it, You picked it up the nail dropped down into place and boom you bust your dab.
I used a titanium tip silicone nectar collector that I used for 2 whole years. That was basically all I used besides a vape cart once in awhile or my Yocan XL dab pen. I was actually fine with it. I kind of perfected using my nectar collector. I did small slow low temp hits. It was very relaxing almost like smoking a big joint. I still pull it out every so often because I really enjoyed the hits from it. I never coughed or felt like my chest was on fire; like I have with a regular rig or an e rig. It does take some finesse and a bit of a learning curve.
I got the Proxy pipe too, love it! I’ve always smoked/vaped dry, always had pipes for my flower, never owned a water-bong, my friends that do have a bong always have to worry about having water, spills, just seems to bring more problems, and then when that one friend who leaves the same water in the bong for days, weeks, and that water starts to turn green and murky, no thank you!
Since you mentioned hiking in my opinion that is the only wheelhouse where having a silicone piece is acceptable. Makes dabs on the go super easy with 0 hassle

I use to make an ash pack in the bowl by not clearing my bowl and loading my bowl until it’s thick. Then put a dab of oil on top and hit it a couple times with the lighter till it has a flame, fan off the flame and hit.
I have a peice that is silicone and the glass herb bowl you can flip over and heat up the glass and dab outta it . Works okay every once and awhile but totes not my thing
I prefer dry dabs off an old fashioned Titanium nail rig with an dome. Call me crazy but I swear as long as the TI is new they hit better than a banger even taste better to. TI is more conductive than quarts so I feel like it vapes concentrate much better than quarts. A small Ti rig with no water is my fav. I like the domed setups over the domeless TI nails because I feel like the shape of the nail has more of a big chunk of TI where you dab and they give you as better hit. I have a peak pro, and all kinds of bangers with various caps and terp pearls and I hate all of them next to a standard TI domed nail. It has way less waste and much better rips.
I like hitting my Puffco's dry. They use so little water anyway, and the only practical difference is that I get about half the reclaim buildup twixt charges.
I had 3 puffcos but I got the puffco guardian and since I got it I been dry dabbing but my boy brought up that there might be sone stuff that wasn’t filtered out in my hash rosin but idk I’m not sold I forget what he was saying, I mean tbh it sounded legit like maybe lipids or fats or something cause there’s no solvents blasted through, i dont remember though and I’m blazed, but I just like the taste from dry dabs rosin
I tried warm water and didn't say anything and handed it to my friend. He hits it, and you would think I switched the water out with piss the way his face warped🤣💀💀
I'm just getting into extract which in France that market isnt even popping But i love my proxy with the droplet but actually i dont really like using the pipe much i prefer the smoother hit with water
🧐🤔 perhaps you're overlooking the moisture that can be added to your hit to make it smoother... that is, I assume partly why hot water tokes are smoother...
When I got my first glass rig, I was so excited to use it I forgot to put water in it and was wondering why the hit felt different and also wasn’t expecting a dry hit. So it hit me 😂 Great video! You’ve been a great wealth of knowledge to me.
I’ve had to hit a dry dab using a spoon and lighter, took me and my roommate a few tries but after we figured out how to make a diy rig we hit it dry and it kinda sucked. After trying a rig with water we never went back 😂
Dry hits are ass. Period. Pens, joints, blunts, pipes, straws, oil, bud any if it... they're bad joints and blunts are nice for specific occasions but bongs are the s tier smoking device..
It’s not possible unless they make snort-able/suppository THC pills. This is due to marijuana having to penetrate the blood brain barrier, and the quickest ways to do that is by anal, inhalation and insufflation. That’s also why it takes so long for edibles to kick in; they need to be digested and then the stomach absorbs the THC and passed through the blood stream like that.
@@mikec4308 I’ve tried both (meaning I’ve tried dab pens and also an S&B Mighty dry herb vape through a bubbler). So I’ve got a lot of experience vaping both dry herb and carts through water. Water certainly helps a great deal, but I still get that burn in my lungs and throat. This can’t be good for either of them. I’m still seeking the holy grail of consumption. There’s got to be a better way!
Y’all need to use the Terp Pen and secondly when using it , remember it’s not a straw and not to SHOVE the heat element into the dab, simplest touch the element on the surface of the oil , it’s not a straw , but yea, the terp pen has got me lit for 4 years and is extremely reliable

I never liked dry dabs until I hit a proxy. My first hit out of it I didn’t even know it was hitting until I exhaled. It was extremely smooth
Proxy does a good job of not dabbing too hot, which is key for dry dabs
