Why is everybody saying for beginners? This is profi camera.. For beginners are some zv-e10 or a6100 vloging cameras. This has so many video settings and quality, that I could imagine shoot some weddings as a main camera...
Because vlogging generally isn’t in the same category as film making. The title states it’s a good beginner film making camera which it is. Vloggers generally don’t need the versatility/extra features of cine. XLR input, raw post production, image stabilization, high dynamic range, 6x bit rate of a series, dual slot for continuous recording, mounting points for accessories ect.
A better description than 'beginner' is 'entry level'. This is an entry level cine camera. Very different idea than a beginner camera. Entry level describes the gear, not the user.
@@APhamx7 So you think that beginners really need raw post and 10 bit colors for grading? For me beginner is someone who is recording on auto settings and dont know anything about picture profiles. Someone who look at this specifocations and say - now a dont need this, maybe later. Because I think to full use potential of this camera you need to have some experience at film making - be a little pro :)
I love my (beginner) camera!! Upgraded from the a6000 to the a6600 when it came out and haven’t regretted it a bit. I desperately wanted the a7sii/a7siii but it was a stretch of my budget just for the body let alone the FF lenses. I love how much more inexpensive apsc lenses are plus the fact that I can borrow my friends FF lenses. The biggest difference I see between my a6600 and his a7siii is the crop who usually isn’t an issue and the low light video quality. He is able to get usable Images in much less light than I can.
As a filmmaker and VFX artist, one of the biggest selling points of the FX30 is its ability to record 16-bit raw video externally. Oh, and provide timecode access. The FX30 is the most impressive APS-C camera right now, imho.
Looks like such a great camera. Especially for folks who are already using Sony APS-C cameras like the a6400 and a6600 that want to jump into the cinema line.
I thoroughly enjoyed your vlog and loved the way you presented the features of Sony FX30. Definitely, a tuna pizza is on the cards now, never knew they made tuna pizza. Love from Cape Town, South Africa.🙏

Good afternoon. Was the picture of the bears taken with the FX30? i have seen the reviews saying that the camera is excellent for video for picture wise, it is not that great.
I can vibe with tuna on pizza. What was your favorite part of shooting with the FX30 vs say the sony a7siii and what was your least favorite? Also would you recommend this as a second camera for shooting weddings and general perpouse filmmaking?
Tuna for the win! The FX30 surprised me with its qualiry and cinema camera features for such an affordable price. Id definitely recommendit as a B camera.
already have epidemic sound subcription from you and loving all the possibilty for songs for my video ! curently shoot with canon m6 Mark ii and switching a roll to b roll ( 24 fps to 120 fps ) is a pain ! is there a quick setup button to change fast between mode ? like button 1 for 24fps 1/50 and button for 120 fps 1/250 ?? i was thinking about switching to sony but my budget is tight .. thanks for everything ( Love from québec )

Love your channel , which lens were you filming with on the FX30 looks like one of the new Sony crops 15mm/11mm or they 10-20. Also what ND did you use? Thanks
Ney! Although, I think pizza, just like hamburgers, have as many possible toppings and combinations as people and likes out there. I do believe the pizza one chooses says a lot about oneself. But, as we say in Argentina, "sobre gustos nadie sabe nada", when it comes to tastes, nobody knows nothing
Hey Teppo! Thank you for the video :) I’m curious about A7C vs this one. Both are small and handy but one of them is a full frame. Could you share your personal opinion about this comparison? Thanks!
the a7c is full frame, but it's 8 bit color... so the image quality out of the FX30 will be MUCH better because it has 10 bit slog3. it also shoots up to 16 bit prores raw with a monitor so.... yeah fx30 is much better
I had the same question. @CRTY thank you for the answer. I guess it depends on what you are going to shoot - the FX30 probably will give you more cinematic colours and functions to create films, but if you want to shoot some daily life and make not only videos, but photos from time to time, maybe A7C is the right choice. What do you think? (Also if I understand correctly, FX30 can shoot 120 fps in 4K, while A7C can do this only at 1080, this can be important if you are in love with slowmo:)
Without doubting this is a great camera I somenhow failed to be convinced.I can take beautiful videos with my GoPro 11 or with my Sony A7C to post it to the internet with the same quality of this clip here. This movie did not woow me at all. Perhaps I don't really need this camera because I am not professional but I again, I always apply LUTS in Da Vince in post and happy with the results....so I'll pass.
