There’s a series of commercials about the “Alien Fruit Monster” who has an aggressive appetite for Froot Loops; it took four commercials to complete the story. That mirror thing you mentioned was from when the Queen from Alice in Wonderland stole the Froot Loops, and Toucan Sam has to get it back, while picking the special fruit by vote. There are different fruit ideas in different countries, and from what I know, the choice gave a cosmetic outcome for both the Cereal and the Queen’s appearance; and what we chose in the US was the Cherry-Cherry. But of course, the most notable of all is the Blackbeak saga; finding fruity treasures in various Islands and confronted Blackbeak himself, which, BTW, When I saw Blackbeak confronting Toucan Sam, I can’t help but think of Grandpappy Plok from the Plok SNES game and Online Comic, where Plok has a Grandfather who stays monochrome. There was one thing that threw me off during that saga, though, and I’m not sure if anyone got all the commercials in the saga, especially in chronological order; but there was a glow-worm character who upon defeat swore he’ll get the Froot Loops yet... sadly, I never saw him again.

Tony doesn't really appear in many commercials anymore. The new ones focus more on the kids, and tie it back to Tony with phrases like "show your strips" and "we are tigers, mighty mighty tigers". Poor Sunny is still fighting his addiction. He has been actively seeking help for his addictions, but those dang haluninations keep getting worse and worse. It's hard not to give in to temptation when the rubber room you're locked in turns into chocolate right before your very eyes. Perhaps this is why everyone refuses to let the rabbit try trix.

As of 2021, Colin Cassidy has been voicing Toucan Sam when the character got redesigned that year after a failed redesign from 2020 (where Matthew Curtis voiced the character). Though it meant that as a result, LaMarche no longer voices Toucan Sam anymore because of the 2021 redesign.

You can still get it from a few places that go out of their way to import it, but it's really expensive, roughly $10 equivalent per box.

in France, we have a Dog for Chocapic, a Monkey for Coco Popos and Tony the Tiger for Frosties, and that's about it. The rest of them have no mascots, they just have a picture of 1 cereal on the box, and behind a picture of bowl of those cereals. But we absolutely have had NO COMERCIALS about cereals for years !

They don't change the milk (they don't give it an awkward taste) they don't float on the surface like other ones (making it harder to have a full bowl of it) etc etc...
Sugar Bear. That takes me way back to the days when sugar was a selling point of cereal, when we didn't know how bad it truly was for you. Then came DIABEETUS. Then more cereals dropped that dreaded S-word out of their names. Super Sugar Crisp became Super Golden Crisp. Sugar Smacks (basically Kellogg's version of SGC) became Honey Smacks. Most cereals still have lots of sugar; they're just not proud of it.

I'm surprised that when you brought up Paul Frees, you didn't mention him being a voice on the Haunted Mansion ride as well- the ghost host. Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure Peter Lorre did in fact audition for that role. (I don't remember where, but I do recall hearing him do the ride's opening narration.) So if the role hadn't gone to Paul, then you could say that Peter did in fact play a ghost. Also, there was actually a time when the Trix rabbit got to eat some Trix. Actually Thurl Ravenscroft sang Grim Grinning Ghosts in The Haunted Mansion, sang You're A Mean One Mr Grinch, and was the main voice of Tony the Tiger. Dallas only started the voice of Tony before Thurl took over.

Fun Fact: The soggies were introduced during a contest where Cap'N Crunch went "missing" and kids sent in with where they thought he went to. Really it was just an early form of market research on what future commercials should be like. When the winner of the contest was "outer space" they created the sogmaster and a whole space motif. Which is why those commercials were just crazy.

I remember the Froot Loops commercial with the surfing lion! I also somehow remember the Cookie Crisp Dog and Wendell. I was born in 1987, so either these were out when I was a kid or my memory is faulty. One of the most memorable Trix commercials for me was one in which the rabbit was dreaming and went to a magical place called Trix Land with a bunch of rabbits eating Trix. One of the rabbits offered him a bowl, and then the commercial went, "Will the rabbit REALLY get to eat a bowl of Trix?" or something like that and ended on a cliffhanger. I remember wishing that it was real for the poor rabbit and that he would finally get to eat some.
Actually, there were a couple of commercials where the rabbit did get to eat some Trix. One early one showed him eating one spoonful, then after his disguise fails the kids say Trix are for kids, and he responds with "And sometimes for tricky rabbits!" In another one, he wins a race, and the kids got to vote whether he would get the Trix (which were the grand prize, because of course they were). Of course, the kids voted yes, but the judges say "Just this once".
Man, I gotta admire the creativity behind these commercials. The mascots I remember are Tony the Tiger for Frosties, Quicky the rabbit for Nesquik and Coco the monkey for Coco Pops.
I used to think the Trix Rabbit was the bad guy, and that he didn't just want Trix, he wanted ALL the Trix, like he was a selfish jerk who didn't want anyone else to have it. Turns out he's the Wile E. Coyote of cereal mascots. Go figure.

To me, Cookie Crisp is quite mediocre. They don't even taste like cookies these days. Maybe they used to, but I just finished off a Family Size box of the stuff, and with or without milk, they don't taste remotely like cookies. In fact, they taste like styrofoam with sugar in it. At least Trix still tastes the same, albeit without the fruity shapes.
This video demonstrates how subtle and nefarious marketing is, upon watching the older advertisements I get this impression that the marketers were tricking kids into thinking there watching a cartoon, then they conveniently transition to a product, in this case cereal. But what do I expect we got the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles because some toy company wanted to sell action figures, effectively turning every episode into a half hour commercial, with commercials for other products peppered in. You just got to love consumer based marketing.

I still remember ads like that airing as late as 2010 (I was born in 2006) but my memory could just be faulty.

Speaking of the Trix Rabbit, when I was a kid, I always felt sorry for Humphrey the Bear from the old Disney shorts. All he got to eat was whatever he could find in a garbage can. Sometimes he tried to get real food, such as fish, honey or Donald Duck's picnic basket, but always failed miserably.
For Captain Crunch the mascots with three shelves than one shaft than the cereal itself. You could technically say that it doesn't have a mascot anymore cuz the mascot is literally the cereal

Also, Lucky charms had stop being sold by major retailers in the late 90's due to poor quality of ingredients. You can still get it from a few places that go out of their way to import it, but it's really expensive, roughly $10 equivalent per box.
I see Golden Crisp a lot still but I really find it funny that his name's still Sugar Bear. Though, I guess Golden Bear wouldn't click as well. I've never seen a commercial with that bear, but he's striving.

Sugar Bear. That takes me way back to the days when sugar was a selling point of cereal, when we didn't know how bad it truly was for you. Then came DIABEETUS. Then more cereals dropped that dreaded S-word out of their names. Super Sugar Crisp became Super Golden Crisp. Sugar Smacks (basically Kellogg's version of SGC) became Honey Smacks. Most cereals still have lots of sugar; they're just not proud of it.
Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo Berry should all tie for #1.

He did. In 1976 (and again in 1980), during the election year, they let kids vote on whether or not to let the Rabbit have the Trix. The first time in 1976 was a unanimous yes, and the second time in 1980 was 99% yes and 1% no. Then, as another commenter mentioned, there was a Trix commercial in 1991 where the rabbit enters a bike race to win a bowl of Trix. The ending was "too close to call", so they let the kids decide whether or not he won the race and got the Trix. And the decision was that he won and he got the Trix.

I'm surprised that when you brought up Paul Frees, you didn't mention him being a voice on the Haunted Mansion ride as well- the ghost host. Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure Peter Lorre did in fact audition for that role. (I don't remember where, but I do recall hearing him do the ride's opening narration.) So if the role hadn't gone to Paul, then you could say that Peter did in fact play a ghost.

Fun Fact: The soggies were introduced during a contest where Cap'N Crunch went "missing" and kids sent in with where they thought he went to. Really it was just an early form of market research on what future commercials should be like. When the winner of the contest was "outer space" they created the sogmaster and a whole space motif. Which is why those commercials were just crazy.

I remember the Froot Loops commercial with the surfing lion! I also somehow remember the Cookie Crisp Dog and Wendell. I was born in 1987, so either these were out when I was a kid or my memory is faulty.
One of the most memorable Trix commercials for me was one in which the rabbit was dreaming and went to a magical place called Trix Land with a bunch of rabbits eating Trix. One of the rabbits offered him a bowl, and then the commercial went, "Will the rabbit REALLY get to eat a bowl of Trix?" or something like that and ended on a cliffhanger. I remember wishing that it was real for the poor rabbit and that he would finally get to eat some.
Actually, there were a couple of commercials where the rabbit did get to eat some Trix. One early one showed him eating one spoonful, then after his disguise fails the kids say Trix are for kids, and he responds with "And sometimes for tricky rabbits!" In another one, he wins a race, and the kids got to vote whether he would get the Trix (which were the grand prize, because of course they were). Of course, the kids voted yes, but the judges say "Just this once".

To me, Cookie Crisp is quite mediocre. They don't even taste like cookies these days. Maybe they used to, but I just finished off a Family Size box of the stuff, and with or without milk, they don't taste remotely like cookies. In fact, they taste like styrofoam with sugar in it. At least Trix still tastes the same, albeit without the fruity shapes.
They were never any good. They used to be made by Ralston, who's parent company was Purina, you know, the Pet Food Company?Which explains alot.
This video demonstrates how subtle and nefarious marketing is, upon watching the older advertisements I get this impression that the marketers were tricking kids into thinking there watching a cartoon, then they conveniently transition to a product, in this case cereal. But what do I expect we got the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles because some toy company wanted to sell action figures, effectively turning every episode into a half hour commercial, with commercials for other products peppered in. You just got to love consumer based marketing.
