I have to agree with other people on here, I don’t think a person should underestimate the intelligence of this man. Apparently Mike Rowe does know his shit! But I have always known that. I don’t know about his father, but apparently his mother is also highly intelligent and astute. Have you heard some of the letters from her he has read? Absolutely brilliant, funny, and well written! No Mr. Rowe you don’t have anything to prove to anybody, you just keep on keeping on!
Why do intelligent, articulate, funny, wonderful gentlemen (who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty) such as Mike, not exist throughout our planet? Along with the 'war on blue collar jobs' came the war to emasculate men... Men such as Mike are an absolute blessing and treasure to our world.
Mike Rowe makes a lot of money off other peoples hard work. Mike Rowe is making millions of dollars doing exposes about dirty jobs/odd jobs. Katie Couric and Joan Lunden did a few expose about dirty jobs/odd jobs 20 years ago. Even Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie did dirty jobs on The Simple Life. Does Mike Row know how to program a CNC lathe? Can Mike Rowe read Micrometers? Can Mike Rowe even change the oil in his car? Do you see my point? Mike Rowe Went to college. Mike Rowe loves Hollywood not skilled trades. That being said Mike Rowe does encourage other people to do skilled trades. I would like to see Mike Rowe be a welder for just two years. I bet he couldn't hack it.
I'd say Mike knows shit better than anyone else in show business, considering how much of it he shoveled for "Dirty Jobs".

I REALLY hope Mike Rowe runs for office one day. He seems like a guy who is the best of both worlds. Not perfect, but very smart and honest. It takes a truly intelligent man to realize how ignorant he is, and Mike has always been willing to say, "I don't know enough about that topic to claim to be an expert."

I watched Capt Andy's comeback before this video; too funny! :) Please don't fight guys, though it is kinda funny to watch. I just don't want to see the relationship between the two (or all the captains) sour....though a day of Mike on one of the ships hasn't been done in a while but during one of the crab seasons would be priceless.
