I've been watching Adam here on TH-cam for a few years now. Adam you are a phenomenon. Although this performance is amazing, I think I enjoyed your duet with Tom Brier playing "Chopsticks" more, probably because it was spontaneous and showed how much you love your music. Thank you for many wonderful hours of listening enjoyment.

Classical music is my first love. Love that particular Mozart sonata but love to discover music I haven't heard - Yamekraw. Wow, super. Fun to see you playing that. I've only seen your fantastic early 20th century music on TH-cam. Fantastic. What a genius.

Not every brilliant musician has the ability to go to or afford Julliard or the New England Conservatory--there is room on stage for other brilliant musicians--and Adam is one of them...dts/usa
Has Mr. Swanson recorded any CD's?
Adam’s version of the Polonaise is somewhat sloppy... with mistakes. He does better with ragtime.
I've been watching this great young pianist (seems like) forever, and I' going to grade this concert to the best of my ability -- and it's only my opinion so please, everyone has an opinion, don't slay me for mine. Take it or leave it. If I were his manager, I would tell him this: The Military Polonaise: too many wrong notes, poor punctuation, B-. // Bach: very average C+ // Mozart: wonderful interpretation and finesse A

He needs to straighten up and stay straight. Move fluidly. Carry yourself like "The Prince of Piano" because you are! And the sky's the limit ...
I really dislike the tendency to care about how pianists carry themselves and their posture etc. Why should one care. Is it about personal pride/respectability or music? One of the reasons I don’t consider pursuing a career as a professional pianist.
Edit: Yes, I know it’s just your opinion, that doesn’t make it immune to criticism and I am not trying to attack you. I’m just responding to a general theme I’ve noticed in the world of classical music

Al Anton No, thank you for your willingness to consider my point of view. It’s a rare trait, but a valuable one. Cherish it and I’m sure you will be rewarded.
@@mightymaniac8712 I am sure you are right -- I do have an analogy however. It's not really important (but I'm old and have nothing else to do.) It concerns golf. I am an avid fan. Jason Dufner, a multiple winner on the PGA tour and possessor of The PGA Championship (one of golf's "MAJOR's) has almost NO endorsements because of the way he purports himself on the golf course and afterwards in interviews. This guy is a MAJOR champion -- a feat so rare that most golf pros cannot even dream of ever winning a major. But Dufner will not be personable nor smile for his (alleged) fans or the camera. He literally costs himself tens of millions of dollars in endorsements because of these simple, correctable, bad habits. Rickie Fowler, on the other hand, has never won a major, but makes SO much from endorsements because of his easy smile and willingness to grant interviews it is almost surprising he has time to play golf! This is what I was implying about anyone who wishes to excel in their chosen profession: little things they might do to give themselves a leg up.
Al Anton I see what you mean, but I think he should probably focus on developing himself musically. I suppose it depends on your mindset. I don’t want to play music to become famous or wealthy, and I think people with that mindset often are mislead. Perhaps I will change my opinion on the matter at some point since I’m still young, but truth be told I highly doubt it. On a side note, I actually prefer when Adam acts natural, clearly just enjoying playing. Shows much more personality, something that to me seems to be scarce among classical musicians
