14:55: Jaedong loses 10 drones in his third base, to a vulture run-by. And because the drop in his main forced him to evacuate his drones there, he was on a 1-base economy for a bit.
@Russ0107 Yeah, he isn't at level he used to be anymore. But I grew up watching him clapping everybody's cheeks with Mutas for a living, so nostalgia kicked in.
2:36: I love hearing about the meta and how it's developing. Hell if Arty started an new video series where he just talks about meta shifts then I'd definitely watch those too.
I like that double drop ship played. It was so deadly, killing off the sprawling pool and also the defiled mound really poses problem for the Zerg player. Really well executed there.
Love the channel Arty! CNSL was a little anticlimactic but wow what a series! I had an idea for a series that I would REALLY love to have you make. As a novice StarCraft player I am unfamiliar with most openings and their specifics. It would be awesome if you had a series where you explain the different openings, what’s going on with the current meta, you could even do openings categorized by StarCraft era and what made them so good at the time. This would help my game immensely. I’m sure your fans would love to watch and learn
On the 4-pool note, what about bundling either 3-4 games where someone goes 4-pool, and 25% of the time instead it extends into a more interesting game after a 4-pool opener (though that might be hard to find)? That'd be a potentially interesting way to cast things.
At 5:28 we see Light flexing his skill and knowledge. A single zergling actually does as much dps to a marine as a sunken does. Notice his marines are attacking the sunken and as the 2 lings come in for the flank, he stops attacking the sunken and quickly targets each of the zerglings before then returning to the sunken. Low key a great play.
hmmm. I think there's some algorithm black magik going on lol. I queued up some Rogue Tournaments (GSL2021-ST3) to remember his top form, and queued up the WCS 2013 SoS vs JD Grand Finals since it came up in related and needed to see another top zerg of by gone era. And then I get THIS JD game on my home screen, lol. The algorithm is scary RT. Love that Light is experimenting with blending mech transition vs zerg, the way he's been experimenting with bio opens vs protoss. Similar to SoS pushing the boundary of opening builds during his heyday late Wol thru early LotV. Thanks for talking about sunks, you hit it on the nail. Also really nice observation about slowing corrections to meta shifts. but playing Devil's Advocate, one reason for underrep of that particular BO win is that, these are ladder games, it's a coinflip. And although YOU get 4 pooled more frequently than you should, I also suspect the top zerg leave those wild backyard ling all-ins for tournaments or practice for a partner who's working on defense. Future Bonjwa* Kim Min Chul basically said in his interview after ASL S17 Mini reverse sweep, that he was basically freestyling w/ ling builds, not practiced optimizations. Now, Lurker busts or experimenting with early, "cheesy" lurker play in general, using them with effect when the most effective ways are now predictable, seems like something worth exploring on ladder. Understand and test limits and uncover alternate, effective ways to push with or without dark swarm, work out sharpest timings for Lurker Power Curve in relation to flawed terran detection options, there's room for creativity, (don't always put it on Shine or Zelot!): 1) Ebay ->Turrets: Sight 11, detect 7, Lurker range 6. Cannot attack ground, (wildly variable efficacy as AA). 2) Acad-> 1 scan per ~69sec, duration varies ~7-11sec, can target ergo can miss, delays up to 2 SCV production per addon. 3) Facility -> T3.5 Tech (facility requires port), Vessels cost 225 gas competes with tanks, shares port build time w/ valks Just felt like JD was overly conservative with breaking into Nat. I think the dark swarm bridge could have cheated a little more to get into nat faster. Also repositioned earlier before cloud wore off. I'd love to see them develop lurker burrowing as a skill the way Tank sieging is an art to Terran. Unlike SC2, lurkers don't have 9 range and can also burrow/unborrow so fast, they leave afterimages in the ground. God, Rogue was really abusive using lurkers like a sledge hammer in that 2021 ST3 Finals vs Maru.
Each time Artosis says one of them has got this game, it makes sense to me. Yet they both came back several times. How did either of them hold on for as long as they did?
Artosis can you weave in some wins for jaedong, bisu, stork and so on. Cos I am getting old and I just keep seeing my boys losing all the time. Whats a man gotta do for some false optimism?
I've been watching this channel for around half a year, and have yet to learn what "ASL" stands for (or CSL for that matter). Maybe I'm just the wrong audience, but I'd think he'd explain it or use the un-initialized version at some point, ever. I haven't looked it up yet, just seeing how long I'll need to wait.
All of this ignorance can just be gone within 5 minutes of google search. Don't you think you are kinda weird? All of those tournaments can be learnt on Liquidpedia easily
Was it Flash that got caught up in some scam where he was pushing something on his stream? I remember this being talked about in a previous video (a month ago at least).
13:10 I dislike dark swarm so much... Fart on the command center, GG. BLAAAGH! Dark Swarm is so busted. (Spoilers below.) And Light STILL PULLS A W! LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I can't watch Jaedong anymore. A long time ago he was really good. But now... his defense is just awful. He loses so many games because he gets countered or simply overrun by a drop. Top back then, flop today.
14:55: Jaedong loses 10 drones in his third base, to a vulture run-by. And because the drop in his main forced him to evacuate his drones there, he was on a 1-base economy for a bit.
good catch
This is probably the real turning point
Completely missed that
Bishop is the only semi pro forcing meta shifts.. his wraith play into Valk was incredible.. I wanna see more of that from the pros
Lol…
@@sirris4330 … loser
As a Zerg player, I press like the moment I see Jaedong name.
I don't think I've ever seen him win a game.
@Russ0107 Yeah, he isn't at level he used to be anymore. But I grew up watching him clapping everybody's cheeks with Mutas for a living, so nostalgia kicked in.
Same. And I’m always disappointed. He hasn’t been good in 10 years.
Soulkey is the new zerg god, bro.
@johnproxov8664 he is quite good, but you should factor in other players managed to improve a lot since then. Competition is brutal now
JaeDong, Light, ArtosisCast, YES PLEASE
2:36: I love hearing about the meta and how it's developing. Hell if Arty started an new video series where he just talks about meta shifts then I'd definitely watch those too.
That seemed like a bit of a unique one
Always nice to see the OGs! Do a Bisu cast next!
I like that double drop ship played. It was so deadly, killing off the sprawling pool and also the defiled mound really poses problem for the Zerg player. Really well executed there.

Hey Artosis Casts, welcome back to guys.
A longish cheese compilation video could be fun
Breakfast + ArtosisCasts
Gonna be a good day.
On the 4-pool note, what about bundling either 3-4 games where someone goes 4-pool, and 25% of the time instead it extends into a more interesting game after a 4-pool opener (though that might be hard to find)? That'd be a potentially interesting way to cast things.
A compilation of four or so 4 pools where we place our bets on the wall in vs rax in main would be fun.
Plus one

Now we need an Arty vs Cheese ladder player cast with an Overlay of the stream audio. The true Artosis experience
I like this idea! please do it
Have you seen theres no upvote on your post LOL.
Fuck the TTS cringelords
Brilliant
You missed the vulture run-by at the 3rd. Great cast as always. Keep 'em comin'.
12:22 that silence after, 15:10 that "Uggh" though xD
"i think jaedong is actually winning right n..." AAAAAAAAAAAND IT'S GONE
never change, toast; never change. we're just missing useless
Amazing game, we should see more drops from Terrans.
Tear drops, more specifically

this was one of the best game I've seen in a long time
tuck froy
Hello Artosis I am a big juicy salmon and you have hooked me effortlessly with your quality thumbnail hook
Fun game. I like the unorthodox build from Light.
Each time Artosis says one of them has got this game, it makes sense to me. Yet they both came back several times.
How did either of them hold on for as long as they did?
Yes! Love these players so much, I learn something every game. With morning beverage of course :D
Why not?! An anthology of 2 minute replays! xD
12:20 Artosis just realized he stepped in poop.
Light is so good
Arty why don't you cast a comliation of cheezy 2~4 minute pro games ?
Cool game! Very different one
Being a Jaedong fan is very tough these days. He's still famous, so he CONSTANTLY gets the spotlight, but he's clearly struggling with top players.
What a game. Seriously.
this is why we play -- what a game!
what a wild game easily could have gone the other way at times
seeing jaedong out of his prime is just sad :(
what a nutty game
Artosis can you weave in some wins for jaedong, bisu, stork and so on. Cos I am getting old and I just keep seeing my boys losing all the time. Whats a man gotta do for some false optimism?
HOW DOES ONE PLAY TERRAN THIS WELL
I think this is the first time I've seen dark swarms in the natural for terran and the terran still wins
Yeah at this point I checked the time thinking, come on is he really going to play one base for 4 minutes before dying?
Good to see Zerg master Jaedong.
Give me more 4 pools!
love u artosis hope u are good brother
beautiful
4-POOL Videos or we riot
Very interesting
What a strange game!

Afreeca StarLeague
...Or you could not let me do that, by just revealing it here, I guess.
Btw, wtf @ "Afreeca"
sick game
Fun game!
Light is insane
Good game
The dong!
woo!
nice action packed game. there were def moments when JD couldve won that
You stopped saying Light is the Best terran in the world !!!
Where has Flash been?
Retired basically
Been playing random.
Was it Flash that got caught up in some scam where he was pushing something on his stream? I remember this being talked about in a previous video (a month ago at least).
GG 🙂

13:10 I dislike dark swarm so much...
Fart on the command center, GG.
BLAAAGH! Dark Swarm is so busted.
(Spoilers below.)

OH... gross
Heh, what a wonky game.
When will jaedong win a game !!
I can't watch Jaedong anymore. A long time ago he was really good. But now... his defense is just awful. He loses so many games because he gets countered or simply overrun by a drop. Top back then, flop today.
First
I have noticed that terran always loses? Are they just a trash race? 😢
gee, i wonder which j4pZwins
The dong!
