I lived in charlestown 12 years ago .I just to go everymorning to grandmas restourant kind of spanish .they had good food
Grandma's Resteraunt is still there. We go to Grandma's for breakfast quite a bit.

How is living in Charleston? My mother is considering it
3 months late, but I hope you get this. In WV there is Charlestton, which is deep in the heart of the state. I've never been there, but heard it's pretty nice. Charles Town is in the Eastern Panhandle, a stone's throw from the Maryland and Virginia lines. I've been living in Charles Town for over 20 years, and absolutely love it. Good, salt of the earth people, a definite small town feel, exceptional views - especially in the fall, and a very low cost of living.
I hope this helps. She'll love the CT/Harpers Ferry area. I can't imagine living anywhere else.
I’m from southern WV. I never traveled to the northern part of WV. I live in another State now for a job. Sometimes I’d like to move back to WV and live in a van down by the river. Escape the madness!

I have a few vids on Harpers Ferry. A few exploring abandoned houses on park property and casual visits. I plan on doing history based vids in the future. Shepherdstown, I did visit the James Rumsey monument and also plan more. Thanks for the interest!

What’s it like living in Charlestown?
Horrible, electric bill was $1500 /mth in 2012 during the winter months. Just another crap hole town. If you want to live in a historic area, try parts of Manassas, Va. Theres more to do, major roadways everywhere, and so much civil war history. And just a short drive from Charles Town and Harpers Ferry.

Yep it was, and North West St. As well. Older structures don't have insulation. We had floor board heaters and they were expensive. Had to get help paying electric two months. Believe it or not, drgaf.
