On the real the fact lou passed and solo made this is actually such a credit to both these cats. My dad loves lou and never really liked hip hop but listening to this my dad said " the beauty hip hop can bring to others i've finally recognised why it means so much to your younger youth.

Fucking amazing. I love how so many of their tracks feature little lines or snippets from their other tracks. They're like Easter eggs for the dedicated listener!
Rest in peace to Lou Reed, in the 60's was amongst the under rated song writer and an absolute legend in the music scene of it's times... Props to Horrorshow for keeping his spirits alive!!!

99% sure. Besides him giving the shout out to her before the verse, in the first line "like a date with the history eraser": History Eraser is a Courtney Barnett song. And mentioning "an ironic cover of some hip hop thats iconic" i figured was Courtneys cover of Black Skinhead. But i could be wrong.
nah your on it, i reckon. she does history eraser and black skin head in the same performance, its too much of a coincidence haha. plus before doing black skin head she says something about "i don't know much about the song but lou reed said he liked it" or something like that anyways, and then in this, solo says "i dont know much about lou reed but Q-tip sampled" haha i reckon its full of little digs to be honest :')

Fuck its good to see Triple J exposing the public to the huge talent of hip hop in this country. The talent of Horrorshow, Seth Sentry, Spit Syndicate, Thundamentals and co are only getting better. Introducing new people to the bars and beats that these legends are producing on the regular and seeing them get hooked on aussie hip hop is only a good thing that will continue to push and better the hip hop scene as a whole
