Ever since Planet Rock, my friends and I always inspected the vinyl to see if Herb Powers did the mastering. We'd search for the message he'd leave. His Legend was big conversation. Herb gets major respect. A hero and inspiration to me.
I'm a quarter of the way through, & I've got the feeling this is not going to be long enough. More technical knowledge please! This was the guy that got me searching / reading the runout grooves.
ive never heard anyone say that the transition from vinyl to cd (or cassettes) allowing more space ushered in more filler tracks. its definetly something people say nowadays with the virtually limitless project lenght on streaming services ; especially since today, more tracks means more sales - but to think that someone would feel like that back then. quite fascinating
also i understand that yall can't play all the audio in here for obvious reason but please. we get the opportunity to hear an unmastered masterpiece. that's unvaluable.. sad
