Take the drive variator off and clean all that BS grease Honda put in and change rollers you will get better takeoff and top speed. New these could hit 60/65 but at WOT. I have 2 they are great. 125 and 150.
No it was the original fuel lines that was clogged, bearly letting fuel in the carburetor. I replaced them with new fuel line before the ride on the road. I forgot to mention it in the video.
Few tips, don't buy aftermarket carburetors they are junk and never work right, original japanese carburetors are very very hard to get so clean the factory one, use new hoses on everything, also make sure you use the right factory clamp on the carb to the air cleaner or it will come off, also make sure you get the right spark plug too. I have mine for 36 years and still runs and looks great.
I have been seeing your videos, I have an 85 as well. so far waiting for carb parts, cleaned tank, removed sparkplug, and maybe will change transmission belt since is accessible right now, have a question: accelerator cable seems broken; handle won't come back on its own, could you please give me some ideas?
Throttle on Carburetor might be stuck or cable needs to be lubed up but even after soaking my carburetor and taking it apart it was still stiff. I just replaced the carb and it’s smooth!
I have a 1985 Elite same color that I got since new and still looks new. By the way, that's not an 85 it's an 86 deluxe, the 85's don't have the headlight like that and the dash is not digital, everything else is the same.
Yes the 1984 150 was fixed headlight and 84 125 was pop up light. 1985 dropped the 125 and the Deluxe 150 had pop up light regular 150 was fixed light. In 1986 they only offered the 150 Deluxe. 1987 changed body altogether. I bought an 86 150 Deluxe new and had it 9 years. Just picked up 2 1984 in last week, a 125 and a 150.

It is typical for the plastic intake manifold to develop cracks. That would explain the bogging. They are cheap and easy to replace.

Yea the manifold is a common problem as well as the exhaust gasket

U MIGHT HAVE TO ADJUST THE CARBURETOR THEY TAKE TIME TO ADJUST WHEN THEY ARE NEW
I didn't use the new carburetor, cause it didn't fit and that piece was broke. So I just really cleaned the original one and used it.
