I honestly have a disaster bag in my household. I tell my kids in the event of an emergency, to grab that bag forget about everything else, as long as everyone is out of the house. Emergencies can happen anytime and we should take it seriously. I am so sorry for the loss of many young lives and praying that the rest will survive. Prayers to the young father to have strengths.

First, my sincere condolences go to the young father and his family. No words will heal or fill the hole in your heart through this enormous loss. Your poor babies break my heart into pieces. I feel the pain in your eyes. Living and working far away in Germany, I am sending you lots of prayers and hugs - may the lord be with you during this unforeseen time.
Secondly, a word of advice to the Hmong 18 Council of Minnesota: you are a non-profit organization with some highly educated folks sitting in your cabin/board. Come on, you are giving a press conference. Where is your PR person? Why not have an agenda with the appropriate topics and the critical personnel to speak precisely about this tragic fire and the grief of this family? Stop the Hmong Politics rundown of unrelated issue (s). It is very unprofessional plus unnecessary. Your cabin/board members must review such speeches and learn to speak like leaders, not party crushers.
I agree with you. Most of their speech are not important nor related to the purpose of this video. It's more like that are boasting about themselves and who they are and how they are helping people. Like you said they should have a PR person instead of having so many people speak nonsense.
@@MzyXyooj916I have notice that too. I mean the family could have called media anytime for themselves, they didn’t need the unnecessary voices from Hmong council to dilute their messages. Poor family. My heart breaks for the family and to see their cause being used in our community organizations to boost themselves is atrocious.

I lost a cousin to a house fire in Arkansas a few years back. I know how you feel brother and can’t imagine how much you are going through. Want you to stay positive and stay strong. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers.

Making sure fire detectors work in our families are so important. Praying for this family.
Most people will remove and cover it up so they can cook freely. This the reasons. People never learn until too late. The smoke detectors' sound really loud and why the mother couldn't hear it. Can't believe it.
Brother smoke detectors are certainly important
but I believe what our Hmong people also need much awareness on
is fire Prevention.
It is so important to prevent the fires from starting in the first place.
Such as many Hmongs don’t know that
fire prevention means
they need to regularly maintain their furnaces, dryers, small appliances,
electrical cords, don’t put too many into an extension cord,
don’t use space heaters,…. etc
