Merry Christmas Andy, and thanks for another great video. I suffer from social anxiety and agoraphobia, Ive never been camping in my life, but you make it look so amazing id love to be able to do it one day. Till then keep your videos coming they really are so very therapeutic 🙂
Go alone, no social anxiety and it's so chill it may help with the agoraphobia?
RIGHT: That hit me in my early 50s. I tried cognitive therapy and that is one leg to living with the condition. One root cause is that the body quits producing enough serotonin. Commonly available medication has done 'wonders' for me for decades. Check with a good physician and you could find total relief. I have.
I too have agoraphobia and general anxiety, ur not alone. I havent left my house without drinking or taking meds in years. But it will get better. I refuse to live this way. Andy’s videos help!
You could go to a church that knows how to cast out the spirit of fear that keeps you from enjoying the great outdoors.
Not sure if I have agoraphobia but sometimes when I look up at the night sky I feel like I could fall into it. While some may scoff at it not being "real camping" I highly recommend you go camping in a mobile home or RV of sorts. It will give you a familiar shelter and retreat to fall back on if you have a panic attack.

You have made a beautiful shelter, a lovely place to build your shelter, plenty of firewood and a nice secluded location and you are very talented at building shelters, it looks strong and sturdy and great location, we built something similar but we have it in bear country so in summer we have our truck right next door in the event a bear comes into camp we can go to the truck and get protection but in winter there is no bears they are in hibernation. But we have not had any that gave us trouble. We are going to have a Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve, then we are going Christmas day campout and stay for three days, merry Christmas to you and yours, and a great and safe new year.
I wouldn't be able to leave.

I discovered your channel during a very long bout of flu during November and December. I've enjoyed your videos and you have inspired me to do more cooking when I camp next year rather than just relying on the local pubs and takeaways. My favourite place to camp is in Thornton Le Dale in North Yorkshire. 'Can't wait for next May. Happy Christmas.

line the ceiling with space blanket material and it acts as a reflector and then a plastic sheet to cover the front then let the fire warm it. You'll be surprised how warm it gets inside
THANK YOU for another fine Holiday video. I have commented before that I LOVE an Adirondak-style shelter: it is fine to see how one adapts to changing seasons and weather! In colder weather, it might be better to have the firepit closer to the shelter. I would also add a decent set of back screening to drive more heat into the shelter. (And I wouldn't get up so early!)
Merry Christmas. Watching this the night before record breaking snowstorm hits us in Western NY, a couple weeks after 6 feet of snow dumped on Buffalo. The snow in your videos is way more calming and relaxing than it is in person I can tell you that. Cheers

Merry Christmas, Andy! Anytime you want to do an overnight in that little cabin, consider heating up a bunch of rocks in the fire, and then placing them around the bottom edge where your feet would be pointing, and that would probably heat up the word and help you to stay warmer through the night. You could also tack one of those mylar blankets to the ceiling above where you sleep, and that would also help to reflect the heat back down onto you overnight.

You need to build a stone backer wall to radiate that heat right into your shelter there. Love the scandanavian shelter great job on the build!
