All of you reading this, we don't know each other and will probably never know each other but I wish you all the best in life and all the luck in the world.
If you're reading this, it doesn't matter where on the planet you are, I wish you a great and happy night. peaceful life where all your dreams come true
I just smile when people talk about "camping" in their $200,000 dollar motor home! Most of my camping was done for hunting, scouting, canoeing or fishing. I went through the various phases from teenage beginner with just an Army surplus pup tent to an old timer who just throws a blanket on the ground with maybe a tarp lean to. I think I enjoyed the "gadget phase" most, trying out every new thing that came around to make my life in the woods more comfortable. It was fun, but expensive! Over the years I've pared everything back to just the essentials and it suits me. My bother however is still in the gadget phase. For him to go camping for a weekend he completely loads his pickup full and also tows a 12 foot trailer loaded down with gear. Oh he's quite comfortable once he gets his "camp" set up, but that takes about 2 to 3 hours and by then he's ready for a nap and misses out on all the daylight activities!
Glad to see that your camp "survived" the storms, shows how well you built it! But Josh, I am even more glad to see you wearing gloves when processing the wood!!
hey Herb. yes the hand is doing great and this trip was just a break in to be sure before I go back to work on the other camp. didn't want to over do it.
This is probably my favorite shelter I’ve seen so far. I would build the side walls up the rest of the way to prevent rain and snow blowing in, and I think you could build the far wall up a few logs more, I know you need some opening there as that’s the “chimney” essentially, but I think you could do 3 or 4 logs higher. And some kind of door so animals don’t get in
yes I could build it up and be ok with the smoke getting out. My idea to keep it this low was so from seating on the bed I can see straight out into the woods. you don't really get that perspective from the video. Cheers and thanks for the great tips.
From Cambodia, it's really interesting for us since we do not have that kind of whether as yours. Thanks for sharing, and I will share mine back to everyone as well
Good evening. Looks like the hand healed up . Never seen anyone grill a small pot roast before 😁. Looks like a better trip this time around . Have a great evening
Nice to see you out again! Hope your hand has healed well in the meantime! Great to see you back at your super shelter, too bad the plastic went kaput! Love the dinner you cooked! Also, I noticed you repurposed a little jam/jelly jar. Great for taking along spices for overnight trips! Great video! Be well and stay safe!😊
Thanks the hand is doing really good. ya the little jars are nice and small and don't take a lot of room. It's always a struggle in that area. lol. Glad you like the video and hope all is well.
I grew up in the mountains go Oregon. Piece of plastic on a rope between trees for a tent if needed. Fir limb or miss pad to throw a sleeping bag on. Me and my brother. No gadgets except a pocket knife and matches. 😊
Just found your channel and I thoroughly enjoyed the video. I like videos that have "talking". I hardly ever watch silent videos for more than a few minutes. I really enjoyed the cooking and rebuilding. You are now one subscriber closer to the 100,000 mark! Keep up the great videos.
Yessir! Glad you made it back to Bushcraft Camp, it held up great! That supper and breakfast look so good, man you sure know how to cook in the wild! Thanks for sharing, cheers and keep well!
One thing I liked, you not putting just a few shreds of cheese and a small dollop of sour cream! Load that potato up with a nice steak like that! And the cheese on the egg. Great video, beautiful scenery.
I really like the shelter layout but I’m a fan of long fires, maybe a shot version of say a metre long, (just over a yard) the flames never get too high so the roof less likely to set fire… just a suggestion.
Good to see you out again so soon enjoying your favorite camping season, in the cool crisp snowy conditions at the shelter. Others have commented about your hand healing up, I'm glad about that as well. That "loaded" baked potato looked great! I'm going out this weekend desert camping in Arizona and need to make up a menu plan... I might cook a russet in the campfire and top it with some homemade chili one night. We'll see. Hope 2023 is a good one for you, and I'll be looking for the next video along with updates on the gram. Cheers! Pete - KI7LIL

I hear ya. I fell in the trap and thought I needed all the kit. Sometimes I still do just because it's fun. Because I like to just to minimal kit.
What pleasure you will get in the peace of nature..🌲🌲feel good🌻🌻
There is no food better than campfire food!
SUPER NICE TRIP, THANKS FOR TAKING ME ALONG. WE HAVE MISSED YOU, APPEARS YOU HAND HEALED WELL.
Thanks so much! Glad you like it. Was really fun to get back to the original camp. Prefect place during the winter months.

Glad to see that your camp "survived" the storms, shows how well you built it!
But Josh, I am even more glad to see you wearing gloves when processing the wood!!
Ya the camp held up great. Gloves are always on now. Lol.
Just discovered your channel. Nice to see someone still doing bushcraft and not "reality camping." Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Such an icy place that I feel so warm.
I love the snap crackle of the fire
yes. Late at night I just sit and watch/listen to the fire for a while before going to bed.
Gloves are a must!
These survival skills are great when the grid is down
👍
A fact and truth my friend
Wait till I shut every one grid down the next plandemic will be fun

Looks like your hand healed up well. Camp held up great as well! Thanks for sharing my friend 🤠
hey Herb. yes the hand is doing great and this trip was just a break in to be sure before I go back to work on the other camp. didn't want to over do it.
Man, that will get your mouth watering. Nice beer of choice kept in the snow or coffee or tea, then some Fireball whiskey for dessert. Outstanding.
Oh the fireball is a great idea. Haven't had that in years! lol. Might not get out of the woods the next day. lol

You just relax! That’s what I’d do if I was out there too! Have a good sleep! 😔
Thanks, you too!
Very cool set up you have there. you should put your bed a bit higher for storage and to have heat go under for better heat exchange
I even heat up my sleeping bag with hand warmers that last 12 hours
Good idea Earl!! I'm going to try the hot water in a bottle again. Been years.
Great idea!
Happy New Year to you!
