I love my 2013 R1200 GSA. Almost 10 years old and never a problem. Last of the oil cooled. No radiator. No wonder wheel. Minimal electronics. Analog gauges. That thing is a work of art. My magic carpet.

Guys, this is not one bike. There's at least 3 different engines here: a 2-cylinder opposed for GS, a 4-cylinder inline for the RR and a 6-cylinder inline for the GT. This would have been better as 3 separate videos.

The cleanliness makes manufacturing errors very visible. The cleanliness encourages putting tools back into 'rest position' and assists in organizing work station parts bins. Above all it encourages self worth, particularly when this cleanliness is combined with crafting jobs that demand high levels of skill (hands on education), at a moderate work pace (the machines deliver the item to the worker for specific operations and does all the heavy lifting.)
I feel so old watching this now in 2022. Great workmanship, and production facility and the video production. Although, I did not get to see some of the crucial aspects / parts of the bike building processes, and am aware of their intention to not show it in the open. Only makes sense. Overall an amazing Appetizer of what BMW menu can offer to the world.
Ha, as someone who has had to fight with those wiring harnesses at 35:30, it's funny to see they're just as much a nightmare from the get-go. As beautiful as these bikes are, more thought should go into making them easier to work on.
Thank you for everything. It's really wonderful since I was 13 years old and I dream of having a motorcycle but here we are in a country where we can not buy a bike because it is very expensive. Now it's 37 years old and I have not got one in my life. I wish I could buy one before my death .........

I went to the BMW factory in SEP 2015 and was impressed with the way they worked. Factory employees also get a decent discount.

At 33:38 they also stripped a plastic screw lol, typical sound from the drill when the threads let go.
