Lex appalled at Bagwell’s misidentification of the exercise.
This comment had me gone😂😂😂
Scottie was louder but Ricky was the one you didn’t want to mess with
Idk about that. I wouldn't mess with Scott. He was an all American wrestler. 6th in the nation at a highly educated D1 University. Rick was a great wrestler too, but I don't think he ever got All American status.
💯
Scott was a better amateur wrestler and other than DDP no one stepped up to Scott which I can't say the same for Rick. Vordell Walker beat him twice and Jacques Rougeau stepped to him which has been confirmed by others. Kwee Wee claims he stepped to Rick who tried bullying him and did nothing back in return when he did.
I wouldn’t mess with either lol
you didn't want no part of either. they both could back it up. I know a local tag team that went WCW and got squashed by the Steiners . 1 got broken nose, 1 got broken collarbone & Ole A couldn't have cared less. Scottie was strong as a gorilla with unreal athleticism . Look at early 90s WCW tag teams; it was incredible.
If Luger is impressed, so should we be. That man was built like a Greek god back in the day
I still call him Marcus Alexander Bagwell.
After he changed his name, he turned into a buffoon and Scottie’s sidekick.
It was always funny to me how he always thought his and Scott’s physiques were similar when BPP was in another galaxy.
It’s always nice to see Luger. I got to see him and Sting vs the Road Warriors back in 88-89 in the Omni. They fought all the way back to the locker room.
Bagwell wasn't a buffoon he was Over.
@@chadk890 Bagwell Steiner's sidekick
He was a great sidekick and jacked as shyt
Lex Luger getting old, I still remember walking down the ring with the flag when he fought Tatonka🤞🏽💯
Father time gets us all. But Lex has a nasty spinal injury that has caused muscle wasting to make him look older too. He's fortunate to be alive.
We all getting old so what's your point?
Scott had that functional strength as well - explosive with it too. What an athlete in his prime. Both Steiners were great athletes. For me - in terms of pro wrestling - no other amateur wrestler who crossed over can match Scott's in ring athleticism and moveset.
Lex was borderline at the God Level, not only arguably the greatest physique of all time, but he had the mannerism and the attitude to go with it, had it not been for illicit street drugs there is no telling what peak that juggernaut could have achieved.
Tony Atlas could match him in the physique department
So could Kerry von Erich.
Luger, atlas and von Erich had 3 of the best bodies in the history of the sport.
The warrior and rude deserve a mention, but they were a level below those 3.
In the 80s, Rick Steiner was stronger than Scott but Scott was always the better athlete. I've never seen another 250 lb plus wrestler do a move like the Frankensteiner.
Pure legends I have respect for them because of my late grandmother was a big big fan
Which Steiner was stronger ? I think they each had their special lifts and different feats of strength.
“So which was the stronger Steiner?”
“On bench yes” - Buff Bagwell
He said “RICK” not “which”….
Bro i fuckin loved buff bagwell. The front flip neckbreaker from the top rope was great. The good days 😥
He did the Blockbuster almost perfect every time ☺️
@@benwesley5260 Thank you i forgot what it was called
Luger was one of my favorite wrestlers...bad or good.
OMG Buff is wasted here! I know he had a DUI not too long ago, I hope he can get cleaned up!
He’s Buff, he wants the stuff, and he can’t get enough...🎶 Buff Daddy 🎶
Why? Maybe he's having fun.
@@jonmolina948 hahahaa
24/7 Boozing
He's definitely on something here
Your interviews are great keep up the good work!! How was it interviewing lex luger? He's my all time favorite.....seems like such a nice guy
Thanks brother 💪🏻 Lex was one of my favorite guests and so cool, humble, and respectful. It was a privilege to sit down with him for a couple hours.
@@MachoMecca Do you know when the entire interview will be released?
@@derekvietro784 It has been released on the Podcast. Just search “Macho Mecca Podcast” on iTunes, Spotify or whatever platform you use. There’s a link in the description. Whole video interview will be uploaded in a few months.
@@MachoMecca that's great news man thanks I'll do that and certainly enjoy it. He's a class act and very underrated unfortunately alot of people hate him but honestly he would be a huge star in today's landscape
Scott Hall said he did 315 when he was on gear. I imagine a lot of guys did that kind of military press. I’m curious how much Goldberg did, because he had no problem using the gorilla press on guys who were 300lbs.
I'm sure Goldberg was in the same range, if not higher. At least for functional strength, pound for pound, I'm not sure there were many guys stronger in that era. Those gorilla presses with the drop down catch on the shoulder into the powerslam were insane.
Well he’d likely be in the same class as ultimate warrior from that perspective. Warrior would bench 550lbs so I’d say he’d be somewhere in that 500 to 550 ball park.
Bench 565 lbs is Bill’s claim and it’s backed up by Dion Sanders who said Bill was the strongest guy in the Falcons weight room (from dion sanders podcast a few years back with bill as a guest )
Goldberg, Barbarian, Steve Williams, Hawk, Mark Henry, Johnny Stamboli and Animal were all masters of the Gorilla press slam. Scott Steiner was never good at that move.
@@kevthegoat8774 You forgot Brian Adams aka Crush.
Vader said he was doing 350lbs behind the neck push presses for 18 reps in Japan. I’ve done 225lbs x 8 weighing 175lbs so I believe it.
Animal did the Gorilla Press more often than Hawk, he maintained his strength longer.
Ken Patera was an Olympic weightlifter, I think he won a Silver medal. But I never saw his matches. I imagine he had exceptional strength overhead like Mark Henry did.
Don’t know if you remember Pitbull #2 from ECW. He was built like a house. Easily the strongest guy in their promotion’s history who was a regular there..
I remember when Rick and Tank got into a scrap on tv.
I miss Luger. I miss The Warrior. I miss Hogan. I miss Andre. I miss my giants. Where have all my childhood heroes gone? Now it's just me.
I just turned 34. It literally is just me 😢
Local Bars Miss Andre as well
They are dead
Tony Atlas, Lex Luger and Scott Steiner had the best physiques in wrestling history.
Kerry von Erich too
@@richbrisco3190 Yup I always forget certain people but I'd also put guys like Hawk, Brakkus and Rob Conway up there too. Mark Lewin in the early 80's had a hell of an underrated physique too especially as he was in his 40's.
Billy Graham looked lbetter than Luger in the early 70s before Lex had one hair on his ass
@@pulsarlights2825 not at all
@@richbrisco3190 Look at the video of Graham and Ken Patera arm wrestling in August 1974....there was nobody looking like that at the time, except maybe Sergio Oliva
270 pounds, 4 percent body fat, that is what the total package is all about.
I was happy at 215lbs 12% LMAO!!
Any more and I would be eating people - I was taking in so much food.
Truly funny tho
He was never 4% year round, 7-8% yes.
A clinic on why not to run gear. Luger is 10 years older than me, but looks like he’s 30 years older. It’s like running an engine on nitrous all the time….fun for a while, but eventually blows the engine.
You should look up a body builder named Ronnie Coleman. He won mr Olympia more times than anyone ever has due to steroids. He does incredible lifts but has completely destroyed his body due to the amount of weight he has lifted and the steroids. The guy has trouble walking but still lifts 300 pounds.
Lex had a spinal stroke about 13 years ago. That is what crippled him, the pain management has aged him.
@@blankname6629 yeah, I’m familiar with Coleman. Truth be told, a lot of these guys have mental health disorders, and they were able to channel their angst into steroids, lifting, getting ridiculously huge etc (even to the point of self destruction). I can’t imagine someone who is of sound mind and judgement doing this to themselves. It’s almost like a bizarre twisted form of OCD.
I used to watch lex when I was a kid even though I was a hulk hogan fan during that time. Lex seems so humble for a wrestling legend.
I always thought Rick was the stronger of the two. He wasn't as cut as Scotty but had more of a powerlifter physique.
You should watch Rick Steiner's matches from the 80s. He looked like an absolute animal
@@akshayk8679 he didn’t exactly answer the question directly but sounds to me that Luger was implying Scott had the stronger upper body and Rick the stronger legs. I can buy that. Both of those guys were almost superhuman at shoulder pressing though by all accounts
This is the stuff I love to hear stories about, and you know those two meatheads were actually in the gym watching the Steiner Bros do this stuff
I did time with lex in Florida
Ah, total package and the buff the stuff, wcw alumni being interviewed by Stan.
MAN I miss 90's Wrestling...
I wonder If Luger is going to answer back MJF or end up playing a part of a role in the big feud with MJF and Darby Allen what he said about him.
Those dudes were epic
Lex is the man💪💪💪💪
Barbarian beyond Strong . 6'4 320 ... Benching 600 pounds ,
You might be thinking of The Warlord with those measurements. Barbarian was like 6'2 and about 295-300 lbs. He could bench 600 though 💪🏾
My twin brother when we were teens loved wrestling and many of them guys, they got him into lfting weights and at the age of 15 yrs old my brother could bench 315 pounds he would put it up twice.. And that is a feat for a grown man , and he was 150 lb kid
Puff the Stuff Bagwell over here.
I didn’t know Alex looked like this.
So sad to see, but motivation!! It’s a journey
Also out of the 3, Ron & Rick was Natural!
What size rabbit is in that hat
Rick all day, every day! Scott looked bigger and stronger, but I've never seen Scott catch Vader in mid air and slam him! But Rick did!
Lex knows lifting better than he knows wrestling.
They were all juiced to the gills.
Scott was the tougher one
100 pound side raises? Buff may be exaggerating there.
To much talking over each other. But Buff could never be without something to say about anything and everything. I bounced in clubs and bars in the Tampa area back in the 80s and 90s. Ive got gym stories, club stories, IHop, Waffle House,Perkins stories for days about just about anyone that was on the roster back then!
Why is this called macho Mecca?
Bagwell sounds like he smokes a carton of cigarettes a day
He had a cold.
Buff drunk af!!!!!! That red face!!!!
All that coke has fried buffs brain
Bagwell needs a cough drop
Buff Drunkwell
Steroid strength is massive
It would be impressive if they were not on steriods
They weren't. They're just genetic freaks. Rick's son is built just like them
Ronnie Coleman? 🤔😂
