@Losah Tattletales that's what she's saying ,he said every guy wanted to look like lex,she said and they are now paying for it (steroids) Learn to read between the lines.
@Man E Mr. J I'm not arguing his wrestling abilities or mic work. I agree they weren't anything special. I only had an issue with you saying he wasn't ever a top tier guy. Also you don't necessarily need to have the 3 things you mentioned to get over. Look at Goldberg. Goldberg was the most over thing in WCW and he couldn't talk or wrestle. Sting was red hot in 97(probably the hottest he has ever been in his career) from mostly spending his time in the rafters and not talking or wrestling for a whole year. Both Goldberg and Sting were more over than Ric Flair had ever been in WCW. Another category which I think your forgetting is a signature move which is really what got Luger over in 97. The torture rack was one of the most over moves in WCW. Luger torture racking everyone in 97 is what propelled him to top tier status for a little while. So yes Luger lacked in ring ability and mic skills but he made up for what he lacked in his look and signature move.
Saw him at a house show in December 96. First time seeing him live in person. Second row and when he made his entrance, he slapped my hand. I couldn't believe how huge he was in person versus on tv.
The steel implant is actually a stupid gimmick. I know for a fact that steel attached to bone hurts more than the strike does the other guy. My 4-yo nephew head-butted my collarbone last winter, just playing. I almost dropped him cuz my arm went dead on me for a time.

At 45 years old I feel so old when I see Lex Luger and other famous wrestlers from my childhood are old men who don't look anything like they used to. Tabitha Little dude every wrestler uses steroids. It’s not a bad thing, it helps recover from injury and grow more muscle mass. Wrestling is the most demanding sport there is.
The ones who talk about how old he looks...wait until you’re 60-65-70 and then look at pictures when you were younger. Aging happens to us all. You can’t avoid it. I’ll be 71 this year and while I can still get around really well on my own and I’m fairly free of wrinkles, I know it’s all down hill for me. And has been since I hit 55.
This is why Lex isn't in the WWE Hall of Fame. Vince wants everyone to act like steroids never existed. At least Lex sounds like he did everything as safely as possible.
Wow. Remember seeing him at Powerhouse Gym in Knoxville, TN in 1999. Lex always had that larger then life Greek God or Hercules like look when he first debuted. Certainly blessed genetically but we all knew he was juiced to the gills. I do think he should have tried to be more of a movie star in the 90s though opposed to a wrestler. He just had that look that could have been great for Arnold style action movies.
Maybe play He-Man in his prime days?
@@ExaltedMarauder I think he'd looked good as a He-man character but we needed a totally different movie than what was wrote.
@Nakia Irvin You can't look like Lex Luger did in his prime without the genetic foundation he had.
I think he could have done a good job as he man - if Dolph Lundgren can pull it off then luger surely could have too
Yes. He was called the total package and man in his prime he was long and lean and looked great.

Man E Mr. J you are very wrong. Lex was big time.
The only move were as soon as he picked you up they ringin the bell😂😂😂☠☠☠
@Man E Mr. J Not true. Lex was as over as any wrestler in the business in 97.
Nah there was the fucking Ultimate Warrior!
Saw him at a house show in December 96. First time seeing him live in person.
Second row and when he made his entrance, he slapped my hand.
I couldn't believe how huge he was in person versus on tv.
The Steel-Plated Elbow and how the superstars and jabronis sold it was very entertaining.
The steel elbow was the most lethal move in wrestling history.
The steel implant is actually a stupid gimmick. I know for a fact that steel attached to bone hurts more than the strike does the other guy.
My 4-yo nephew head-butted my collarbone last winter, just playing. I almost dropped him cuz my arm went dead on me for a time.
He's got that huge physique back in WWE days, I can't believe he lost it.
I'm happy that he's still ok and now sharing the word of God.

At 45 years old I feel so old when I see Lex Luger and other famous wrestlers from my childhood are old men who don't look anything like they used to. Lex Luger is just probably the most noticeable because he was built like a comic book hero in the '80s and '90s when I was watching him and now he looks so weak and feeble. Ric Flair was my all-time favorite from the early '80s until the late 90s with the Attitude Era when Stone Cold became my favorite, but I hate to see Ric Flair in his condition looking like somebody's great great granddaddy. I guess they are lucky to have lived so long though because so many people don't. I look at them and it makes me think I'm 45 years old and I will be looking like that in 20 years. @LA Lakers I didn't know Sting used to juice up, too. You told me something else I didnt know.
Tabitha Little dude every wrestler uses steroids. It’s not a bad thing, it helps recover from injury and grow more muscle mass. Wrestling is the most demanding sport there is.
good health? He's been this way for 10 years and he's only 61 - he looks like he's at death's door
The ones who talk about how old he looks...wait until you’re 60-65-70 and then look at pictures when you were younger. Aging happens to us all. You can’t avoid it. Was one of my favorite wrestlers. Would love to hang out with him!
He's lying about supps. They will never bring you to steroid level, especially past 40.
@@45kph yeah. As he did in wrestling. I love listening to these guys preach what they dont practice. Respect to Lex. I don't judge for him using steroids.
I agree. No 'technique' or OTC product will get you to your full potential as PEDs. I personally feel that new research in follistatin will be the game-changer everyone has been dreaming of, but that's still a few years off.
Lex Luger and Sting were my heroes in my childhood. It is striking to me how intelligent and well-spoken he is. He made the opposite impression in the WCW.
Test, Decca, D-Bol.... "old faithful"
Anavar, Dianabol, and Anadrol 50 was a favorite stack during the mid-80’s💪...Made in Mexico, lol🤣🤙
Imagine if Tren was a thing in his day ... nectar of the gods!
I met Luger, and a few others in a country bar in Edmonton, AB. He wanted to fight me because someone told him I didn't like his pink sweater. Those guys were always busting balls.
I used to rush home from work on Saturday evenings so I could watch Lex Luger and The Road Warriors.
